Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts

Chapter 6479 Meng Qi vs. Heaven Wing Blood Devil

Chapter 6479 Meng Qi vs. Heaven Wing Blood Devil

The Heaven Wing Blood Devil went completely mad. He was like a wild beast whose old wound had just been torn open. As a result, he no longer held back.

The devil race possessed a particular trait: once they were triggered, they would lose all rationality.

Among devils, strength and intelligence determined their rank. Some low-level devil races were monstrously strong but too dim-witted to think, and so they became slaves—mindless killing machines for others to command.

Yet, no matter how intelligent a devil was, their core nature never changed. Devil blood flowed through their veins, and the darkness within their souls could not be erased. Once that devil nature was triggered, their intellect gave way to savagery. Their rationality would be replaced entirely by the instinct to destroy.

At this moment, the Heaven Wing Blood Devil no longer cared about the Earth Cauldron. His only thought was to kill Meng Qi. Until that desire was fulfilled, his sanity would not return.

A blood-colored streak of light shot at Meng Qi. Composed of endless law runes, it was his most effective killing blow.

In response, a divine rune bloomed on Meng Qi’s forehead, spreading like a divine tree. The moment it appeared, heaven and earth shuddered beneath the weight of its sacred power.

Her hands moved gracefully, forming seals as space twisted behind her. A giant bird materialized from that distortion, radiating primal chaos energy.

It was another Primal Chaos Vermilion Bird. With a piercing cry, it spread its wings and shot forward like an arrow, colliding with the blood-colored light.

BOOM!

Both of them exploded, and the shockwaves spread throughout the battlefield.

“AHH!”

Those caught in the blast screamed as though their souls were being torn apart.

“A spiritual attack! Heavens, did she just block a physical strike with her soul power?!”

Realization dawned across the battlefield—this stunning, ethereal woman was actually a soul cultivator.

Soul cultivators specialized in attacking the spirit, and their attacks existed between reality and illusion, making them nearly impossible to guard against. As a result, no sane cultivator would willingly provoke one if they could.

However, soul cultivators also had a fatal weakness—their bodies were frail. In close combat, once their defenses were broken, death always came next. For that reason, soul cultivators usually relied on powerful guardians or contractual beasts to protect them.

Unexpectedly, Meng Qi defied normal convention. She had transformed her soul arts into solid form and deflected a full-powered assault from the Heaven Wing Blood Devil.

“A soul cultivator without their contractual beast is nothing! Let me see how long you can last!” roared the Heaven Wing Blood Devil.

Runes flared beneath his feet, and with a single motion, he shot forward like a spring released. His afterimages blurred across the battlefield—so fast that no one could tell where his real body was.

Facing this strange movement art, Meng Qi stood calm and unmoving, her fingers weaving hand seals at a slow pace.

“Die!”

A shadow flickered behind her. The Heaven Wing Blood Devil appeared like a phantom, his sharp claws slashing for her neck.

But before he could touch her, a small whirlpool appeared behind Meng Qi, and from it emerged a tiny azure serpent.

The instant his claw struck, the little serpent opened its mouth ferociously, revealing fangs that flickered with a cold light.

During battle, a cultivator’s qi would form an automatic defense barrier. Even if breached, their Blood Qi would activate, protecting them from harm. So, for a powerhouse like the Heaven Wing Blood Devil, his flesh was as durable as a Divine Sovereign artifact.

Yet, this unremarkable-looking little serpent tore through all his defenses effortlessly, its fangs sinking deep into his flesh.

“AHH!”

The Heaven Wing Blood Devil howled in agony. The power in his attack dispersed, his arm trembling violently as blue veins crawled up his skin.

As his hand turned blue, it started to rot before everyone’s eyes. In the blink of an eye, all that remained was bone.

Most frightening of all, the blue color continued to spread, quickly reaching his elbow. With a feral roar, he grabbed his own shoulder and ripped his arm clean off. Blood exploded through the air.

The severed arm hit the ground, and within moments, the flesh melted into a puddle of blue rot, leaving only bare bone.

“What a terrifying venom! What kind of serpent is this?!” shouted one of the spectators.

Shivers ran down people’s spines. The serpent was only a foot long and as thin as a chopstick, yet its venom was monstrous.

“Die!”

Having lost an arm, the Heaven Wing Blood Devil spun through the air. His wings sliced toward that serpent like a blade.

In response, the blue serpent twisted its body. Like a slimy mudfish, it easily slipped past his attack. After that, it coiled onto Meng Qi’s shoulder and stuck out its head, sticking out its tongue as if mocking the Heaven Wing Blood Devil.

Seeing this, the Heaven Wing Blood Devil let out a furious bellow. His arm regrew in an instant, and his wings expanded as runes ignited across them. His aura soared violently, shaking the battlefield and terrifying every expert present.

“The Heaven Wing Blood Devil race really is terrifying! No wonder they can rule the winged devil clans! He hasn’t perfected his essence rune or even grasped full law control, yet his power is already this strong! Just imagine him once he does!” shouted one expert.

“Slut, you’ve really enraged me! I’ll tear you apart!” roared the Heaven Wing Blood Devil. “Heaven Wing Sky Ripper!”

With that, he spread his wings wide. Space itself cracked open before Meng Qi, the fissure rushing toward her like a devouring blade.

The Heaven Wing Blood Devil was using a supreme divine ability to shackle space and rip it apart like paper. He was planning to rip Meng Qi apart with this space.

In response, Meng Qi snorted and formed a series of hand seals. But halfway through, she suddenly stopped.

BOOM!

An enormous figure appeared in front of Meng Qi, taking the blow head-on. That massive figure was instantly ripped in two, and its blood splattered across the void.

“What...?”

When people saw that enormous figure, they couldn’t help but gasp.

“The Soul Devouring Blood Toad?”
