Chapter 1927: Catching Up With Each Other

“Wow! You’ve really grown so much stronger now, Nephilim! This is amazing, congratulations!”
Just by glancing at her Status, I was stunned by how dramatically her numbers had risen in only two years of dedicated training and personal trials. Her Mana Storage Core had evolved alongside her, now capable of holding up to a hundred million Mana without any strain. I wondered if I could somehow adapt that ability for other uses.
As I congratulated her, I turned to my friends and my brother. They were all radiating their own unique auras, yet every one of them bore the same Heavenly Saint’s Divine Star Pattern—a reward and Legacy granted by the Heavenly Saint Inheritance.
“I see everyone has grown stronger. Shall we prepare lunch together first and talk as much as we want afterward?” I asked with a bright smile. “Mom? Ah…”
When I looked at my mother, I realized she was locked in a passionate embrace with my father, kissing him fervently. My father had clearly released two years’ worth of pent-up longing, and neither of them seemed willing to let go anytime soon. Wow.
“Every day that passed, I missed you and Dad…” Zephy said quietly. “But Mom missed Father even more… I thought that because she was an elf, her sense of time would let her endure it easily, but I guess I was wrong…”
“Well, she did say her perception of time changed after having me…” I replied. “So maybe two years really felt like an eternity to her. But… wow, I don’t know if I can get used to you being taller than me!”
“Hahaha! Yeah, I didn’t expect that either… Well, I’m not too tall, right? Just a couple of centimeters…” Zephy said. “There’s nothing wrong with your height, big sister…”
“You say that, but you’re going to end up as tall as Dad in a few more years!” I protested, feeling the unfairness of it all. “Why am I the shortstack here…”
“Hey, it’s not like I dislike it,” Aquarina said, walking over and resting her hand on my hip. “I love you the way you are, Sylphy. Don’t suffer over such a complex… you’re perfect just as you are.”
“Uugh…” I sighed. “Okay…”
They just don’t understand!
I was small in my previous life too!
Is this my curse? Is this some eternal trait etched into my soul—to always be small?
Hmmm…
Well, if I go all-out, I do tend to grow larger, especially in my full Draconification form.
…
Yeah, it’s not so bad.
“Thank you,” I said with a smile, leaning in to kiss her lips. “Ah, right… Aquarina’s back too. Did you miss your sister-in-law?”
“Hey, Zephy! I’m honestly shocked! You’re so freaking tall! Haha!” Aquarina laughed, greeting him warmly.
“Y-Yeah, I missed you, sister-in-law,” Zephy replied with a nod. “You’re like a big sister too… Whenever I thought about big sis, you always appeared right beside her in my mind… It’s almost like you two are a single person sometimes.”
“W-What does that even mean?” I asked, feeling a little insulted.
“Hahaha! We do stick together a lot…” Aquarina giggled. “Are we the same person though? Nah…”
“You’ve really changed, Aquarina! You’re huge!” Mist exclaimed.
“Yeah, it’s amazing how big you’ve gotten! That’s the Amazonian Genes for you!” Lara added.
“Hahaha, you girls are praising me too much!” Aquarina laughed cheerfully. “Anyway, come here for a big hug!” She spread her powerful arms and pulled all three of them into one embrace, lifting them off the ground effortlessly.
She was indeed the giantess of the group…
With my family finally reunited and half my friends returned, we decided to prepare lunch right away.
I had skipped breakfast anyway and came downstairs quite late, so I might as well wait until lunch.
My mother quickly brought out a variety of ingredients from her journey, new vegetables I had never seen before and the meat of spirit beasts, rumored to be incredibly delicious.
Felicia was with her, chatting animatedly about everything that had happened while they caught up like the old friends they were.
From what I had learned so far, it seemed my mother and Felicia had known each other even before being chosen as Heroes by the Gods.
“I see you’ve been focusing on your research as always, Felicia,” my mother said, gazing at her friend with a calm, affectionate smile.
“Well, yes. It’s just part of my life at this point, Faylen,” Felicia replied. “I’ve been fascinated with the world and how everything works since I was a child because of my… well, you know what.”
“Yeah, your eyes,” my mother nodded. “Sylphy, they told me something happened in your dungeon… Is it okay now?”
“Ah, yes, everything was resolved in time, Mom,” I nodded. “It was… still quite stressful. I never imagined it could be invaded by exploiting such a loophole.”
“The Dungeon was being filled with Miasma because it was absorbing her Endless Mana,” Felicia explained. “The Mana was so overwhelming it decayed into Miasma. And you know how Miasma works, it can make elements, particles, and even space decay. The buildup must have weakened the Dungeon’s Dimensional Walls enough for that monster to break through and attack.”
“I never imagined the Evil God of Dungeons harbored such hatred toward my daughter. It’s really not a good thing…” my mother sighed. “So at this point, he’s deliberately targeting her?”
“That’s right,” Felicia confirmed with a nod. “However, her Dungeon is under my care now, so nothing like that should happen again…”
“Are you sure?” my mother asked seriously. “This is an issue I don’t want to gloss over, Felicia… Sylphy, if you ever need help, just ask. I will gladly assist you with anything.”
“Thank you, Mom,” I said with a relieved smile. “But it’s fine now…”
Especially because Armageddon resides at the depths of the Dungeon. She constantly absorbs the Mana, refining it into treasures, materials, or expanding the Dungeon further while growing stronger alongside me.
This also means that, aside from Master Felicia occasionally wandering through, there is now a powerful Spirit Goddess slowly developing there, ready to protect the Dungeon if it is ever invaded again.
Though, honestly, I don’t want anyone to discover her. That’s why I sealed the entrance to the Sixth Floor with my Authority, making it harder for Master Felicia to find her easily.
But knowing her, she’ll probably still find her, right? Yeah… the same way she discovered my System so effortlessly, she can read through almost everything.
There is little that can be hidden from her eyes…
The good thing is that even if she does find out, I’m certain she won’t speak of it. She’s excellent at keeping secrets and truly understands me.
