A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

Chapter 689: First Supreme P4

Chapter 689: First Supreme P4

Aksai decided to confuse his enemy by mixing half-truths with lies.

And because fragments of truth were woven in, his words carried weight. For a brief moment, something flickered in Saarken’s eyes.

Then his rage exploded.

“I’ll kill you first,” Saarken roared, flames of Spirit essence gathering around his body. “And then I’ll deal with the rest.”

The night sky lit up as the First Supreme prepared to strike.

Aksai’s lips curved into a faint smile.

This was exactly how he wanted it.

Meanwhile, near Kalingoot base island.

The moment the third order protective layer vanished, the sky above Kalingoot’s base island seemed to open up.

Ruan was the first to move.

He urged his draconic Bluewind Eagle forward, and the beast let out a sharp cry before diving ahead. Shuan followed right after him, with Violet, Zara, Ivy, Goren, and Vienna spreading out in a loose formation.

The seven Experts stayed in the air, never landing, keeping a steady height above the island. They were told by Aksai not to engage in frontal confrontation by landing on the ground.

After all, the reason Aksai had nurtured the Bluewind Eagles was because he wanted to minimize the risks of his forces experiencing casualties because of their direct involvement.

Each of the Experts under Aksai was more important to him than any regular 3rd Order artifact. They were supposed to look after his interests during his close door cultivation sessions and otherworld explorations. As such, he dared not use them carelessly.

Below the Experts, Kalingoot’s base was already in chaos. Before the enemy cultivators could even react, the Emerald Cove Experts began their assault.

Ruan raised his hand and released a sharp wind blade that cut through a group of cultivators gathered near a broken tower. Shuan followed with a rain of fire sparks that exploded on impact. Violet’s water spells fell like crushing waves, knocking enemies off their feet and smashing them into the ground.

Every attack was quick.

The moment a Kalingoot cultivator tried to gather Spirit essence to counterattack, the Experts were already gone, flying to another spot. Spirit spells hit, bodies fell, and the attackers vanished before any real response could form.

Shouts of anger and fear rose from below.

After several rounds of attacks, the Experts could feel their Spirit essence thinning. One by one, they pulled out small jade bottles and drank second order Spirit recovery potions. Warm energy spread through their bodies, restoring their strength just enough to keep fighting.

At the same time, they loosened their control over their mounts. The draconic Bluewind Eagles took over. These flying demon beasts became the true masters of the battlefield once they fully unleashed their beast nature.

One eagle swooped low over a broken plaza and let out a thunderous cry. The sound was sharp and heavy, carrying a strange pressure with it.

Cultivators below froze in place as their minds went blank for a brief moment. Some dropped their weapons. Others clutched their heads in pain, unable to gather Spirit essence.

That moment was enough. The eagle dove.

Its talons struck first. Thick, scaled claws tore through flesh and bone as if they were paper. A cultivator was lifted straight off the ground, his body ripped apart before he could even scream. Blood sprayed across the stone floor as the eagle flung the remains aside and surged forward again.

Another Bluewind Eagle beat its wings hard, creating a violent wind current that knocked several cultivators into the air. Before they could fall back down, the beast opened its beak. A strange pulling force formed, a suction-based Spirit spell that dragged bodies toward its mouth. Bones cracked loudly as the eagle bit down and swallowed chunks of flesh without pause.

The beasts did not hesitate or slow down. They were trained rigorously by Yelia and Lini despite the short period of time.

Their cries echoed again and again, each one stunning nearby enemies. Cultivators who tried to flee found their legs shaking, their Spirit veins locked. Some fell to their knees just as shadows loomed over them.

Talons descended. Beaks snapped shut.

Body parts were torn free and devoured on the spot. Severed arms and crushed torsos vanished into the eagles’ mouths as they fed openly, uncaring of the chaos around them. The smell of blood filled the air, mixing with smoke and burning Spirit essence.

One eagle landed briefly among a group of wounded cultivators. Its massive weight cracked the ground beneath it.

Before anyone could escape, it spun in place, wings slicing like blades. Limbs flew, bodies collapsed, and the beast lowered its head to feast, swallowing flesh and broken bones alike.

The more they killed, the fiercer they became. Their eyes burned with savage light as they took to the skies again, hunting for the next cluster of prey. To the Kalingoot cultivators below, the draconic Bluewind Eagles were not just demon beasts.

These draconic beasts were living disasters. And wherever their shadows passed, nothing living was left standing.

A few minutes passed.

Soon, even the demon beasts began to slow. Their breaths grew heavier, and the glow of Spirit light around their bodies dimmed.

That was when the Emerald Cove Experts reached for their final tools.

Ruan tossed a second order array disk downward. It expanded in midair and slammed into the ground, releasing waves of sharp light that swept across a wide area.

Shuan hurled several potion vials that burst on impact, releasing clouds of corrosive mist. Zara activated flying blades that spun wildly through the air, cutting down anyone they touched.

Talismans burned one after another. Explosions rippled across the island.

Because the attacks came from above, the damage was even worse. The Kalingoot cultivators were scattered, unorganized, and already being attacked by Alliance forces from all sides. There was no formation, no defense, only panic.

At this point only clouds of smoke, fire, and screams dominated any vision.

From the sky, the Emerald Cove Experts watched as Kalingoot’s base sank deeper into ruin.

The island that once felt untouchable was now nothing more than a battlefield drowned in blood and chaos.
