A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1286: Show Me How You Fight

Archer walked toward the bank’s entrance. Once inside, he leaned into the lioness and whispered, ’’Go with Aisha and destroy the runes. I’ll handle the guards, but only once there’s no chance of an alarm.’’

The two women rushed off through the bank’s grounds as he waited for them to destroy the security runes. He sat down on a nearby bench while watching dozens of people come and go.

’Seems like I’ll have to help them get inside,’ he mused with an excited smile. ’There seems to be a lot of guards.’

The lioness rushed through the bank’s garden and stopped when the dragon descended to the ground before Aisha’s voice echoed in her mind. ’’I’ll go to the left while you go right. Husband has highlighted all the runes we need to destroy.’’

’’Okay,’’ she answered. ’’Be careful.’’

Following that, Inara rushed through some bushes until stopping with a skid when spotting a guard, but seconds later, Archer appeared behind the man and snapped his neck before throwing the body into a portal.

She watched as his breathtaking violet eyes met hers, a radiant smile gracing his lips before he disappeared. Inara’s heart pounded, her breath catching as she stood frozen in place before shaking her head.

A whirlwind of emotions swirled inside her, and a single thought echoed in her mind. ’I can’t take him for granted. He cares for me… and I’ll give him my heart in return.’Moments later, she sprang from the bushes, sprinting toward an open window.

Without hesitation, she leaped through it, landing gracefully inside an office. Her eyes darted around the room until they locked onto the rune. Wasting no time, she struck. A sharp crack echoed as the rune shattered, its power fading instantly.

Archer’s voice filled her mind, smooth and teasing. ’Eight more to go, beautiful. Aisha is doing the rest.’

Inara moved through the bank, slipping through the shadows as she methodically destroyed each rune in her path. Every strike was silent but effective. Meanwhile, outside, Aisha soared through the night sky, her movements fluid and effortless.

She damaged the exterior runes one by one while remaining unseen by the patrolling guards below. The two worked in perfect sync, their mission unfolding seamlessly. Aisha dived and raked her claws across the last rune she could see.

Following that, she spotted Inara jumping off a balcony, causing her to catch the lioness just as Archer’s voice echoed in their head. ’Now, ladies. Let me take care of everything.’

Archer watched the dragon and lion flying toward him before climbing into his shirt and licking his cheeks. This gesture made his smile grow wider as he approached the bank’s entrance.

While walking, he dismissed his disguise and sighed in relief, only to smell fear when the two guards stationed outside the entrance saw him. His dragon eyes glowed seconds before he sent two Mana Blasts that burrowed through their skulls.

His Shadow Creatures sucked the bodies into his new storage realm before stepping inside the bank. The interior reminded him of the ones from Earth but looked fancier, but he quickly noticed it was completely silent. Experience new stories on NovelFire.Côm

Archer then saw everyone staring at him with wide eyes as the Alliance soldiers rushed toward him. Without waiting, he spoke with an amused expression. ’’Ladies. Can you show me how you fight, please?’’

When hearing his words, Inara sprang from his shirt, landing gracefully before shifting back to her true form, sword gleaming in her grip. Aisha followed suit, bursting into flight before morphing mid-air, slamming her foot into a soldier’s face with bone-crushing force.

A thunderous boom shook the room as she unleashed a fiery explosion, engulfing the advancing enemies in a blazing inferno. Seizing the moment, Inara charged forward, cutting through the chaos with precision, each strike swift and deadly.

’So they can fight and they look beautiful doing it,’ he thought while admiring the two women.

Moments later, dozens of soldiers poured in, but before they could react, Archer was already moving. He weaved through the battlefield so fast that only ghostly afterimages remained, striking them down before they even knew what hit them.

His claws dripped with blood while holding the commander by the head as the man struggled to free himself, his grin stretching wider before crushing his skull, which caused a piercing scream to shatter the air.

Archer’s head snapped up, and his eyes locked onto a group of ordinary people standing frozen in place, their faces pale with shock, their wide eyes reflecting nothing but fear as they watched him.

He threw the body to the side and spoke to the two women. ’’Ladies. Watch over the people and make sure they don’t leave the bank until I return.’’

Inara beamed while Aisha nodded before her eyes snapped toward the people who froze in fear as Archer spoke to them. ’’If you don’t want to die, stay still and don’t speak.’’

Following that, he made his way to the vaults and, when stepping onto the bottom floors, more soldiers appeared. Archer opened a portal just as a Broodmaw Guardian flew out of the portal and tore into the enemy.

Body parts and blood flew everywhere while the enemy guards panicked, but it was too late as his monster killed them. Once everything was dead, he sent the creature back to the Domain as the corpses sank into the shadows.

’’So many bodies, what colony should get them?’’ he muttered while approaching the first vault.

Archer grabbed the massive door, his grip tightening as his muscles coiled. With a deep grunt, he pulled, the surrounding stone cracking and splintering under the strain. His body trembled with exertion, veins bulging as he poured every ounce of strength into it.

Then, with a final, earth-shaking pull, the door wrenched free, torn from its hinges as dust and rubble rained down around him. He smiled before speaking to himself. ’’I’ll give them to Vivienne and the Necromancer sisters.’’

He stepped into the vault, his eyes gleaming as he took in the mountains of treasure before him. Gold coins, glittering gems, and priceless artifacts overflowed from every corner, a fortune beyond imagination.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand, magic swirling around his fingers. In an instant, everything was sucked into his Item Box, vanishing like mist as he claimed the riches for himself.

Archer moved swiftly through the remaining vaults, effortlessly collecting the vast wealth of the Alliance, each pile of riches becoming his with a flick of his hand. But as he opened the final vault, his gaze fell upon a small, secure lockbox tucked away in a shadowed corner.

Intrigued, he pried it open, only to find it filled with a stack of documents. He began sifting through the papers, his expression sharpening as he realized their significance—blackmail material targeting the Southern Novgorodian nobles.

A slow smile crept across his face as he thought, ’This will be invaluable when we make our move on Verdantia. I can cause them to be divided so they won’t be able to offer any resistance.’

Moments later, a Shadow Creature appeared beside him and spoke in an eerie voice. ’’My prince. We have found a secret passage that leads to more wealth.’’

Archer faced the being and noticed it was the same height as him and took on more humanoid features. He nodded before answering. ’’Show me where the entrance is.’’

While following the shadow, Aisha’s voice echoed in his mind. ’My love. I see reinforcements heading this way.’

’Return to the Domain,’ he replied. ’I’m about to loot the last group of vault my shadows found. I’ll block the entrance to slow them down.’

The dragonkin woman agreed before the two of them activated the Snap Gates and vanished from the bank. Archer sensed the scared people fleeing outside as the enemy soldiers appeared.

Moments later, the Shadow Creature pointed at the wall. ’’In there. Eight more vaults full of treasure, my prince.’’

’’Thank you,’’ he replied after shaking his head.

Following that, Archer punched the wall in only to reveal a corridor that was lit by mana torches. He stepped inside and destroyed the entrance before walking down, only to appear in a chamber.

Four vaults were on each wall, causing his greed to explode as he tore the doors off with ease and stole everything. ’I’ll add most of this to my horde in the Domain,’ he thought with glowing eyes.

Once he took every bit of wealth, he waited for the soldiers to burrow their way to him. Archer only had to wait for a few minutes when they appeared, causing him to grin at the commander.

’’Tell the emperor the White Dragon said hello,’’ he said before activating the Snap Gate and vanishing with their wealth.

Archer appeared in the cavern under the treehouse that only he could access and saw a sea of gold stretching in different directions. Without waiting, he dumped everything he took from the first bank.
