A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1440 1440: Convince Her To Join The Pride

Archer continued chasing after the enemy dragon, and not long after that, their roars of defiance were silenced as they plummeted to the scorched earth below. The Dragonfire Company paused, their eyes wide as they witnessed his devastating might.

Elara, undaunted, seized the opportunity, rallying her troops with renewed vigor. ”Press the advantage! Support the emperor!” she shouted.

The eastern wall stood firm, bolstered by the awe-inspiring force of his true form, as he carved a path through the enemy, ensuring none escaped the wrath of the defenders and their cannons.

Following that, he crashed down don’t the Alliance army and decimated them with a swipe of his massive tail. While doing that, a camp miles away caught his attention, making him think. ‘Is that the Goldenmane Camp? I’ll ask Elara when I get back.’

He continued fighting the enemy army until the battlefield outside the wall was a sea of flames that turned everything it touched to ash. Ten minutes later, he returned to his humanoid form and landed on the wall.

Archer glanced at Aeliana, Valariana, and Elara, who were fighting monsters that breached the top part of the wall. Soldiers battled the wild-looking people who were wearing armor, prompting him to quickly cast Mana Blasts at the enemies.

His precise shots struck the unsuspecting enemies, felling them instantly with such speed that no one could track the motion. The defenders on the wall froze, turning toward him in awe, stunned by the swift carnage.

Elara turned to him, smiling. ”Thank you for helping, handsome,” she said, her voice exhausted. ”The enemy army struck without warning. We didn’t spot them until they breached the first line of defense.”

Archer nodded as she revealed. ”It’s the Terravian magic that’s hiding them among the spring fog. Keep extra soldiers on the wall.”

He glanced at his Monarch wives, determination in his eyes. ”Summon more of your monsters and hide them all across the land outside of this wall.”

Valariana and Aeliana nodded in unison. Without hesitation, they vaulted over the wall, their movements fast. As they landed, the ground quaked beneath them, sending tremors through the battlefield with resounding smashes that echoed like war drums.

Dust and debris billowed around them, but they emerged undeterred, their weapons drawn as they charged into the fray. Thousands of creatures poured from portals, their numbers overwhelming.

Archer’s violet eyes scanned the carnage below, ensuring the tide of battle remained in their favor. Satisfied that they were setting up an ambush for the next attack.

”Elara,” he called and gestured toward the distant camp. ”Is that the Goldenmane delegation in the distance?”

The Dragonkin paused, wiping blood from her blade as she followed his gaze. Shielding her eyes against the setting sun, she studied the approaching group, their ornate armor and flowing banners unmistakable even from afar.

A flicker of recognition crossed her face, and she nodded sharply. ”Aye, that’s them,” she confirmed. ”They were there before the attack, but it looks like they didn’t retreat when you appeared.”

He nodded while remembering that the woman was related to one of his wives, putting a smile on his face. Archer turned to the redhead beauty and questioned. ”Once Valariana and Aeliana get back, we’ll go meet them and see what Nala’s Grandmother wants. Should I ask the lioness to come?”

”That would be good,” the redhead answered smiling. ”She’s been lying around the palace complaining about not getting, despite being about to go anywhere in Draconia. So I’d say yes, plus she gets to see her family, which has been years.”

He couldn’t help but laugh at that, but agreed. ”She’s active, let me summon her now.”

Archer messaged Nala, who responded instantly. Using the tattoo, he summoned the golden-haired beauty. Moments later, she appeared, her fluffy hair tied back in a ponytail, though it still fanned out vibrantly.

Her lion ears twitched, and her tail swayed gently. When her bright blue eyes met his, a wide smile spread across her face, and she leapt into his arms. Archer caught the young woman, enveloping her in a tight embrace.

Nala’s smile deepened as she nuzzled into his neck, purring softly. ”It’s so good to see you, sweetheart,” she mumbled. ”I’ve missed you so much.”

”Good because I feel the same, but for now, you’re staying and going nowhere for the time being,” he whispered into her fluffy ear.

The lioness shivered in delight. ”Sounds good to me, handsome. I love spending time with you.”

Following that, the three of them started talking once Nala greeted the smiling Dragonkin woman. He leaned forward and kissed her on the nose. ”Would you like to see your grandmother again? She’s camped a few miles from here.”

Upon hearing Archer’s suggestion, her bright blue eyes widened in surprise, her lion ears twitching slightly as she processed his words. A moment later, a determined nod followed, her fluffy ponytail bouncing.

”Yes, absolutely, let’s do it,” She said, her voice laced with amusement. ”She’s a bit of a grumpy old woman, always in a mood, but heavens, she’s drop-dead gorgeous. If we play our cards right, I can convince her to join the pride.”

Archer chuckled at her words. ”Hold your horse, Nala, I’m not interested in adding anyone else apart from the Popes and Emperor Anatoly’s family,” he answered.

At his words, Nala and Elara burst into delighted giggles, their laughter echoing softly. Elara, still chuckling, shook her head, teasing. ”Oh, you’re in for it now. You courted the empress herself and somehow managed to steal her heart right out from under her husband’s nose. That’s a tale for the bards!”

When the lioness heard this, she laughed before leaning forward and giving him a passionate kiss. He was caught off guard, and as they separated, she commented. ”Well, it’s good to see you. Now let’s go meet that grandmother.”

Following that, he scooped Nala into a princess carry while glancing at Elara. ”Repair the defences and make sure more soldiers are on guard.”

The gorgeous redhead nodded with a warm smile. ”Will do, Arch, make sure to return quickly. I don’t want to get attacked like that again.”

Archer nodded and soared into the sky before flying toward the Goldenmane camp in the distance. While traveling, Nala looked at him and questioned. ”Haven’t you seen my stomach? I look bloated.”

”When we land, I’ll take a look,” he replied. ”I was curious back at the war

After soaring through the sky, Archer guided their descent, his wings cutting through the air until they neared their destination. Moments later, he touched down, landing on the soft earth.

Gently, he set Nala down, her feet finding solid ground as her tail flicked lightly behind her. He knelt in front of her, his hands resting on her rounded stomach, his touch careful yet filled with quiet reverence.

Her belly was noticeably swollen, a clear sign of the life blossoming. As his fingers traced the curve, he felt the subtle stir of their growing child, and his eyes widened in wonder. A broad, heartfelt smile spread across his face, his voice warm with affection and playful teasing.

”I can feel her thriving in there,” he murmured, his gaze lifting to meet Nala’s. ”She’s getting stronger every day, and I’d wager she’ll be just as fierce and unstoppable as her mother.”

Nala’s eyes sparkled, her lips curving into a playful grin as she placed her hands over his, pressing them gently against her stomach. ”A terror, you say?” she teased, her voice light but carrying a hint of mock indignation. ”If she’s anything like me, she’ll be charming, fierce, and just a little bit wild, qualities I know you secretly love.”

Her tail swished playfully, brushing against the ground as she leaned closer, her forehead nearly touching his. Archer chuckled, the sound low and warm, his thumbs tracing small circles over her belly.

”Oh, I don’t doubt it,” he replied, his tone softening. ”She’ll have your fire, your heart, and probably that stubborn streak that keeps me on my toes.”

He paused, his gaze growing more serious as he looked into her eyes. ”But I can’t wait to meet her. To see who she’ll become with you as her mother.”

The moment hung between them as the world around them seemed to fade. Nala’s expression softened, her playful demeanor giving way to something deeper. ”And you as her father,” she whispered.

”She’s lucky already, you know. To have you.” A soft purr rumbled in her chest, and she leaned forward, resting her forehead against his, her fluffy ears twitching slightly as a gentle breeze stirred the air.

For a moment, they stayed like that, wrapped in the quiet intimacy of their shared anticipation. The distant sounds of the world felt far away, as if time itself had paused to honor the life they were bringing into existence.

Archer’s hands remained on her stomach, feeling the faint movements beneath, each one a reminder of the future they were building together.
