A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1513 - 1513: They're Devouring You

Archer and Ashoka were cuddled up in bed after their wild lovemaking while lying there, a storm hit the Domain, battering the treehouse. He felt the whole structure sway, prompting him to use his mana to anchor it to the ground.

Moments later, a groaning started echoing out as the tree came to a stop. Just then, a pair of amber eyes opened, but Aisha’s worried voice sounded in his mind. ‘Arch! A storm is heading for the island and will be horrible if it hits land!’

‘How do you know!’ he questioned, jumping up.

When the surprised Tigress saw this, she leaned up, asking. ”What’s wrong, handsome?”

”A dangerous storm is heading for Draconia. I need to cover the islands with a shield to stop the damage,” he replied while getting dressed.

Ashoka’s eyes widened in awe before she jumped up. ”How can you do that? They are miles apart!”

Archer chuckled as he leaned forward and kissed the tiger woman. Once the worry vanished from her face, he explained. ”You’re forgetting that I’m nearly a god, my wife, I can cover them no problem.”

Following that, the duo returned to the palace, where the rest of the harem was apart from a few members who were busy doing their own thing. He quickly made his way to the center and sat down.

Ashoka observed as a radiant violet shield emanated from him, astonishing everyone who witnessed its spread. It surged outward, stretching beyond the main island to envelop all four surrounding islands in a dome of protection.

The air hummed with mana, and the Draconians stood in awe, their faces bathed in the otherworldly light. But the effort was immense; Archer’s body trembled, his muscles straining under the weight of sustaining such a vast barrier.

Beads of sweat rolled down his brow as he gritted his teeth, focusing every ounce of his will to hold the shield steady. Suddenly, a deep, ominous rumble shook the ground. His senses sharpened, and his heart sank as he detected a colossal tsunami roaring toward them.

It loomed on the horizon, threatening to swallow everything in its path. The shield wavered slightly as his strength faltered, but he dug deeper and sent more energy into the barrier to protect the people.

His heart pounded just as it slammed into the shield with apocalyptic force. The impact sent a bone-rattling tremor through the dome, and jagged cracks splintered across its surface, glowing fragments flaking into the mana-charged air.

The Draconians gasped, their awe turning to fear as the shield flickered, threatening to collapse. Archer’s knees buckled, his breath ragged. He began healing the shield using even more mana.

Cracks began to mend, light weaving through the fractures like molten threads, sealing the dome just as the wave’s full weight pressed against it. The shield held, its glow intensifying to a blinding brilliance that pushed back the churning sea.

Sparks of mana danced across its surface, and the air hummed thanks to the power as Archer stood trembling. Just then, Ashoka appeared next to him as Ella, Halime, and Sia carrying Freya burst through the floor.

”Arch! What are you doing now?” the Half-Elf questioned with a concerned expression on her pretty face. ”And what was that shaking?”

He glanced over at the blonde, answering. ”A storm is bearing down on Draconia. I’m using a shield to protect the islands.”

Just then, he felt his mana growing weaker as a skyscraper-sized wave slammed into the shield. This continued for hours, and by the time it calmed down, Archer was half asleep as the exhaustion overwhelmed his senses.

The four women gazed at Archer, but Freya stole the show, wiggling with excitement and pointing at him with tiny, chubby fingers. Sia giggled, gently placing the babbling baby on his chest.

Archer looked up to see his eldest daughter beaming, her smile as bright as a sunny day. He couldn’t help but grin as she leaned in, playfully nomming his chin with little squeaks and coos that melted his heart.

The women noticed his eyes soften, a warm glow spreading across his face as he scooped her up into a cuddly hug, and they vanished. He reappeared right behind the other babies, who were nestled on a plush, squishy cushion.

His heart swelled as he watched Evelyn snoozing peacefully, her tiny breaths like soft puffs of cotton. Meanwhile, Kela, with a mischievous giggle, nudged Neoma over and began gumming her sister’s tummy.

The silver-haired girl erupted into a fit of uncontrollable, bubbly laughter, her giggles filling the air like a chorus of tinkling bells. Their mothers were nearby, sleeping thanks to being extremely tired.

Freya’s tiny babble rang out like a cheerful chime, instantly grabbing everyone’s attention. The twins’ heads whipped toward Archer, their eyes sparkling with excitement, but it was Evelyn who stole the show.

The little cat girl popped up so fast, her fluffy ears twitching, her big green eyes locking onto him with a squeaky mew of delight. Archer’s heart melted at the adorable scene, a goofy grin spreading across his face.

With a playful wave of his hand, he gently scooted the other babies to the side, plopping down on the squishy cushion. He gathered them all close, snuggling into a cozy pile of giggles and wiggles, their soft coos and happy squirms filling the air with warmth.

Archer sank into the plush cushion, his heart swelling as he gathered Freya, Evelyn, Kela, and Neoma into a warm, snuggly pile. The four little girls nestled close, each finding a cozy spot against him, their tiny heads resting gently on his chest and shoulders.

Their soft breaths puffed like little clouds, filling the air with a quiet, happy calm. With a tender smile, he ran his fingers gently through their silky hair, Freya’s fluffy curls, Evelyn’s sleek strands, Kela’s wispy locks, and Neoma’s shimmering silver tresses.

Each girl let out a contented sigh, their eyes fluttering as they snuggled closer, their giggles fading into soft, sleepy hums. The room glowed with warmth, wrapped in the sweet, serene moment of their cuddly embrace.

Moments later, Archer drifted into a deep, dreamlike slumber, his heart heavy with love for his girls. In the dream, he stood before an older Freya, her striking resemblance to Sia blending with his features, a vision so vivid it stole his breath.

Her eyes, wide with desperation, locked onto his as she clutched his hand, her grip trembling with urgency. ”Father, please,” she pleaded, her voice cracking with raw emotion. ”Stop using the Shadow Prince’s powers. They’re devouring you. I’ve been haunted by visions of your death, night after night, and it’s tearing me apart.”

The young woman suddenly hugged him while continuing. ”You can’t sacrifice yourself! There has to be another way! We all love you too much, so don’t leave us.”

Archer’s heart ached, his head tilting as he gazed at her, love and sorrow swirling in his chest. ”My precious daughter,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around her. ”I’d give my life for you, for any of you, without a second thought. Thrylos will be yours, and no one will ever stand in your way. I promise you that.”

Freya’s eyes flashed with fierce determination, her voice trembling yet resolute. ”Stop dodging it, Father! Promise me you’ll stop using them!” she demanded her stubbornness a mirror of his own.

His gaze softened as he met her pleading eyes. ”I can’t make that promise,” he confessed. ”I’d wield every ounce of that power to protect you, your sisters, or your mothers without hesitation.”

A frustrated growl escaped her, but she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly as if she could anchor him to her will. ”You’re so stubborn,” she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. ”Please, just… try not to use it so much. It’ll come for you suddenly, like a rocket, but you’ll know when the time is right.”

Archer’s eyes softened, a warm smile spreading across his face. ”That I can promise,” he murmured, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to Freya’s forehead. ”Your powers… they’re incredible. I need to have a word with Tia about this.”

Freya let out a bubbly giggle, her eyes sparkling with mischief. ”Mama Tiamat says lots of gods blessed us to win you over. You rejecting the Time Goddess sent her into a tizzy to make you happy!”

He blinked, confusion flickering across his face, but he brushed it off with a chuckle as Freya spoke. ”Oh, you haven’t met her yet,” she teased. ”When you do, be kind to her, Father. She’s wonderful and loves you just as fiercely as all my Mamas do.”

”I’ll keep that in mind, darling,” he replied just as she started to fade.

Freya stepped back and smiled. ”I’ll see you soon, Father, now go and enjoy our cuddles. It drives Mama mad, but they all secretly love that you’re so involved with all of our upbringings.”

Moments later, Archer woke up and realized they were covered in a sheet as the four little girls were snuggled up to him. Freya and Neoma were in his right arm, and the other two were in his left.
