Chapter 1641 - 1641: What Was That Four?
(Teuila, Maeve, and Nyx)
Nyx was standing on the wall that the 20th Legion built for the expedition outpost. It surrounded the settlement as soldiers rushed around carrying out their duties. She stayed behind when the rest of the fleet left the island. Her presence relaxed the Draconians as the place was creepy.
The Dragoness’s pointy ears twitched when hearing something coming from the forest below, causing her eyes to narrow, but she didn’t see anything else. She made her way back to her personal quarters that the soldiers built for her. As she got close, the Oathkeepers saluted her.
She was amused by the giant knights that were here to protect her, thanks to Archer and his protectiveness. Nyx decided to remain at the outpost while the other two women explored further north. Once inside her room, she slumped in front of the fireplace, feeling the warm air washing across her body.
Following that, hours passed just as she was awoke by the roars of other Dragons, causing her to jump up, thinking. ‘Where did they come from!’
Nyx rushed outside and looked to the sky, only to see two small red dragons that landed outside the main gate. She summoned her wings, taking off before heading toward the newcomers and landing in front of them. When they spotted her, their eyes widened as one mumbled. ”A Chaos Dragon!”
She giggled at this, just as two bright lights appeared, and a young couple appeared there. Both had red hair thanks to their scales and draconic eyes like hers, causing her eyes to narrow as the girl spoke first. ”Are you part of the growing Dragon Empire to the north?”
”Yes? My husband is the emperor,” Nyx revealed.
They exchanged happy glances as the girl was about to speak when a bone-chilling roar echoed through the forest, draining the color from their faces. Nyx’s aura surged, sensing a stronger monster closing in. Acting on instinct, she summoned Archer using the tattoo, who appeared instantly, his fierce growl resonating across the island.
The monstrous creature faltered mid-charge, claws scraping against the earth as it skidded to a stop, unnerved by her husband’s growl. But he was unbothered, was already a blur. Seconds later, he plunged into the undergrowth, the dense foliage swallowing him whole, surprising her.
His hands grasped at something invisible to Nyx’s eyes, and in a heartbeat, he vanished into the Domain, leaving only a ripple of energy in his wake. She stood frozen, her heart pounding with confusion. The forest seemed to hold its breath, the eerie silence broken only by the rustle of leaves in the wind.
When Nyx saw this, she jumped into the realm only to appear deep in one of the jungles he’d created years ago. Following that, she made her way toward the noise in the distance only to see him wrestling with a massive snake monster. He began talking in a tongue she couldn’t understand, but he it calmed down within seconds.
The Dragoness continued watching everything unfold until Archer finally spoke. ”Nyx, this thing is a Dragon Hunter, they’re called Wyrm’s. But this one is still young and not as strong as the older ones.”
”A Wyrm? Aren’t those in the deserts across the world?”
”They can be anywhere, my love,” he answered, giving her a charming smile.
Nyx’s heart pounded as she closed the distance between them. Gently cradling his face in her hands, she drew him into a passionate kiss. His hands found her waist, pulling her closer until their bodies pressed together, her curves melding against his chest. When they broke apart, he was smiling.
”What was that for? Missed me that much?” he teased.
She felt her cheeks go red, but nodded. ”Yes, I did, handsome. Now you can return to your journey around the empire.”
Following that, Nyx kissed him on the cheek before returning to the young Dragon couple who were sitting outside the fortress. She laughed at their shocked expression as the boy turned to her. ”Was that the Dragon Emperor?”
”Yes.”
”His aura is something else,” the girl mumbled in awe. ”
”Now come in, I’ll take you to the cafe to get some hot drinks,” Nyx informed the two while stepping inside.
While the Dragoness was busy at the first Expedition Outpost, Teuila and Maeve were heading further south, and the weather got even hotter. The fleet was running out of water, forcing them to search for land. The blue-haired beauty sighed, and she climbed onto the railing.
”Where are you going now?” Maeve questioned, looking exhausted.
”Going to use my Primal form to find us land,” Teuila answered, a determined glint in her blue eyes. ”The sailors will run out of water in the next few days, even with rationing.”
The warrior woman nodded in agreement. ”Alright, stay safe, Teu,” she said.
Following that, the blue-haired woman dived off the ship before transforming while crashing into the sea. Her massive form erupted, causing the ships to bounce around thanks to the waves she created. Moments later, she sliced through the underwater only to notice nothing was around.
The Deepsea Whales stopped appearing, and no other monster was lingering nearby like she was used to. She scanned her surroundings only to see nothing, creeping her out, but didn’t linger too much and shot off into the distance, looking for a place they could restock on fresh water without burning through the mage’s mana.

Archer left the Domain and reappeared inside Sunfire City, where Malakia and Meredith were waiting in the square. When the two women spotted him, their faces lit up as he approached. The lioness jumped up, questioning. ”Was everything okay with Nyx?”
”Yes, she found me a new monster that now lives in my Domain,” he answered the older woman.
After that, Archer hugged Malakia and Meredith, who melted into his embrace as the blonde spoke. ”We should grab some food for the road. Thanks to your Item Box, we can carry so much stuff.”
”Of course, let’s go check out the market to see what they have on sale,” he responded.
After that, Nyx, Archer, and the two women continued their stroll through the streets. They wove through the crowds, sidestepping happy families who passed by with laughter and chatter filling the air. The trio admired the displays of shops, each step drawing them deeper into the city’s pulsing rhythm.
Children darted past, their giggles echoing, while parents called after, their voices warm with affection. They moved at a slow pace, allowing them to soak in the lively atmosphere. Archer was enjoying the happiness radiating through Sunfire and couldn’t wait to see what the other cities of Draconia were like.
Soon after that, Meredith and Malakia led the way through the market they stepped into, looking at all the stalls selling armor, weapons, and jewelry. Homeguards patrolled the street, making sure everyone stayed out of trouble. The blonde maid ended up at a stall that was selling necklaces, causing her eyes to glow.
Archer appeared beside the beautiful woman and whispered into her ear. ”Choose one and I’ll buy it for you, Mere.”
Meredith shivered at his words but eagerly nodded as he glanced at Malakia and motioned toward the case. ”You can get something, my lioness.”
The older woman beamed before turning to the stall as the duo looked over what the owner was selling. After ten minutes, they picked out their stuff, Meredith picked a green one that matched her normal eyes and not the ones of her disguise. While he put it on her, making the blonde happy, he turned to the lioness.
Malakia picked one that went with her big blue eyes, causing him to put it on the smiling older woman as her tail swayed side to side in excitement and happiness. With their new treasures in place, the trio ventured deeper into the bustling market. The air hummed thanks to the chatter of vendors, while the scent of fresh bread and exotic spices wafted around them.
Meredith’s eyes darted from stall to stall, drawn to a display of intricately woven scarves shimmering in the sunlight. She ran her fingers over the soft fabric, marveling at the delicate patterns. ”These must take weeks to make,” she murmured, glancing at Malakia, who nodded in agreement, her own attention caught by a nearby stand piled high with polished gemstones.
Malakia’s tail flicked with curiosity as she approached the gemstone vendor, her blue eyes reflecting the glint of amethysts and sapphires. The vendor, a wiry man with a quick smile, held up a smooth, deep purple stone. ”This one’s said to bring clarity of thought,” he said.
She chuckled, exchanging a playful glance with her companion, who was now inspecting a set of carved wooden figurines at the next stall. As they wandered further, the market unfolded. Meredith paused at a stall selling tiny glass vials filled with vibrant oils, each labeled with promises of luck or love.
The blonde uncorked one, inhaling the sweet, floral aroma, and grinned. “Think this could make me irresistible?” she teased, holding it out to Malakia, who laughed and shook her head, her tail swaying faster.
