Chapter 1083: Rescue Or Massacre?

Shi Lang and the rest Flew out of the Dao City, and headed westward. They were flying in a formation with Darcx at the front and he was winged by the four others on both side while Commander Silence was right behind him at some distance followed by Shi Lang.

The formation was tight but it was fast. In the Dao Plain, it was risky to open a Void portal because the races sensitive to space could detect them. Also, the Dao Fluctuation would give up their position. The Asura Hall had been researching this thing for a long time and they knew what was the best way to cover their presence.

They were fast, and one the way many races were eyeing them but they could not keep up with them. Commander Silence used her ability and Shi Lang sent out a wisp of his sword intent to take out the leader of the team. Their strategy was simple, cut the head and the swarm will become chaotic.

After a couple of days of constant battle and flight, they all reached the place called Sentient City. They landed on the ground and found that the place was surrounded by Acura Wolves, everyone looked at Shi Lang and the young man said, “Hundred thousand.”

Jenkins clicked his tongue, “Have they been fucking and giving birth for all these years without a break? How come their are so many of them?”

Shi Lang replied, “This is not even one percent of their populace. However, they are underestimating us a bit too much.”

The people paused and chuckled, they realized that Shi Lang had seen through them and said, “Darcx, you will handle the interrogation after subduing the set, the rest of you, try to knock out more, and kill the key positions as swiftly as possible.”

The people saluted him and replied, “Hoorah!”

Shi Lang saluted back and said, “Commander Silence will be your back up, and if someone above her realm showed up, then I will intervene.”

The people nodded and they took out their weapons and charged forward. The two sides met, but the Terrans were ruthless. The Acura Wolves had a lot of Dao Generals, but Darcx was moving through them as if he was a hot knife through butter. His dagger skills were unmatched and he moved without any threat.

Wherever he went Acura Wolves fell like dominos. The Dao King in their packs tried to take command and redirect the crowds but the four sentries attacked them back with equal might. The Acura Wolves were demi humans, but they had the instinct of a beast that gave them the edge over humans.

However, their sharp claws could not break through the multi-layer defense arrays carved on the battle suits. Shi Lang and Commander Silence watched the whole thing unfold from the distance and the young man said, “I think we can start selling the armors to the allied races as well. What do you think?”

Commander Silence nodded and said, “Yes, but we would be trading in terms of precious metals and not spirit stones, we have enough of those.”

Shi Lang nodded and replied, “Try to get the specimen from different races as well.”

Commander Silence looked at him and Shi Lang said, “Don’t act surprised, I just want to find out more about the internal social structure of these races, I don’t want them for slavery. Rehabilitating them might be a better prospect for us.”

Commander Silence opened her eyes wide under her visor and asked, “You mean to say planting a double agent?”

Shi Lang nodded and said, “I could be a big breakthrough.”

Archie Arkham shivered when she thought of the possibilities if this program was successful. She thought quietly and said, “It is worth a shot.”

Shi Lang nodded as he began to use his communicator and said, “Well, your competition have arrived.”

Commander Silence took half a step forward and vanished from her spot. The next moment she appeared in the void standing against a slender looking Acura Wolf. She could guess that this one was a female, and she asked, “How come they allowed a female to grow this strong?”

The lady Acura Wolf chuckled, she was different from the rest of her race, she only had a tale that was similar to that of a wolf, even her face was completely similar to a human. She smiled, “Did you think that only you weak human women can grow stronger?”

Commander Silence turned her head to look at the Terran team that was slaying the wolves and asked, “Does that look weak to you?”

Her rhetorical question caused the lady Acura wolf to stop smiling and then the latter charged at Commander Silence with her hands turning to claws. Commander Silence took a big step forward, and used her left arm to block the arm of her opponent and using her right palm she said, “Purgatory Palm.”

The moment her palm landed on the abdomen of the enemy, a burst of flame element spiritual energy was shot through the layer of the spirit energy that the Acura Wolf was using to defend herself. The next moment, Archie Arkham attacked again in the typical Terran fashion, once you gain the upper hand, never give enemy the chance to run away.

The Acura Wolf had just been scalded on the inside, how could she have the time to react this quickly. Commander Silence took out a short sword and the next moment waves of sword intent assaulted the Acura Wolf. She used her forearms to defend and the arm braces blocked the waves, but the scattered sword intent was enough to handle the Dao General level enemies fighting on the ground.

Shi Lang watched all of this while maintaining vigilance. He could sense that their were a few hundred people inside the city, but they all appeared to be nervous, after all the humans were killing their brothers and sisters relentlessly outside the city. The white sand of the Dao Plain had began to gain a reddish hue, and this was the first time, which caused the Shura to develop a sense of foreboding.

He said, “All units, regroup and retreat two hundred kilometers. Use kiting tactic if you want to.”

The order was abrupt, but it was necessary, because his instincts were rattled at the moment.
