Ace Of Terrans

Shi Lang heard things about the Martial Titan race and then he called everyone to step up and compete with only martial skills at their disposal. The old relics had been using spiritual arts for so long that they have forgotten what it means to have martial skills. Shi Lang shook his head at their uselessness.

Then the contest began, fighting without using spiritual arts, and relying of physical prowess, and the rest of the parameters. The Terrans were so happy with this that they basically stomped down all the competition. Amelia, Shi Tao, Shi Lang, and Commander Silence had won clean and remained undefeated through the dozen matches they had.

This was planned by Shi Lang, he intended to form good relations with the Martial Titan Race and their successors. Why? Simply because they would be strategically good allies when it came to nurturing young talents. This sounded a bit too far fetched but it was what it was.

Finally, Shi Lang stood across Commander Silence. The lady had a special ability to mute the other person’s abilities. Shi Lang could not sense the surroundings without using his spiritual energy and it was banned to circulate the energy. The Terran sighed and said, “You were always the mastermind, commander.”

Commander Silence smiled and replied, “I have been waiting for this day since the moment you surpassed me in ranks. Today, I will pay you back for every time you acted like you could boss me around. Are you ready, Ace?”

The two people nodded, and Shi Lang assumed a neutral stance, with his hands up to his chin and his feet placed apart from each other as he faced Archie Arkham. Prince Beiming suddenly yelled, “Begin!”

The two people moved, and they met in the center of the ring. Commander Silence threw jabs at Shi Lang, but the later kept bobbing and weaving around to avoid all the attacks. However, it was not all boxing, the lady started to use her legs to kick him as well and Shi Lang blocked the kicks by stepping closer to avoid the impact or raising his shin.

His advantage was the tempered Shura Body, and even without using spiritual energy it was two grades above Archie Arkham. He was defending, and his movements appeared to be slow.

In the stands the people watching the match were confused and Jenkins sighed as he said, “This punk is again using this style to drain the commander of her stamina. Is this fight going to last for years?”

The Terrans around him chuckled, and Amelia smiled as she said, “He is digesting. Look at his eyes, how long has it been since he had fought without his territorial sensing ability. His eyes are getting used to the movement around him, and he is defending by instincts.”

Shi Tao nodded and replied, “If Commander found out that she is being used as a whetting stone, everyone is going to get a hard time.”

The rest of the people didn’t understand what this ‘Ability’ they were talking about, but Tian Long and Fairy Moon Jade knew. Suddenly, Carole said, “Whoa, is that outer convergence?”

The Terrans narrowed their gazes and Jenkins said, “His muscles are moving in complete sync as if clockwork. Although he is yet to land the attack, he is micro-managing the sensory information and converting it to the most lethal of the attacks. That flurry of punches and kicks from Commander are being displaced by inner convergence and the energy is transformed to channel through his muscles and returned to the Commander two fold.”

Darcx gulped and replied, “He is still the battle maniac that we all knew about. Using these two techniques at the same time even when his eyes are just adjusting to the speed of the opponent and managing to hold his ground.”

As Commander Silence tried to look for a gap in Shi Lang’s defense, a gap in her attack appeared, and Shi Lang grapped it like a drowning man grabbing a straw. A left jab flew through the void and connected with the chin of the lady. The momentary dizziness slowed her down and then Commander Silence was greeted with a flurry of cold attacks that left her no chance to catch on.

Shi Lang exposed all the holes in her technique and countered every attack she made. It was as if he could predict where she was going to be, and what she was going to do in the next moment. The whole situation looked nothing short of a magic trick from the outside, and the people were shocked.

Shi Lang dominated Archie Arkham as if she was a kindergarten student. He controlled the pace, and the damage. The battle came to an end after three hours, and Archie Arkham had chosen to give up. They had not used their full capabilities. In the tournament before the realm lord, they would have to fight while circulating spiritual energy through their bodies, and the damage would increase by thousandfold.

The battle ended and Amelia came to the arena with Shi Tao. They were also going to fight, and unlike Shi Lang, none of them held back when it came to displaying their strengths.

Amelia came out on the top after an hour. Shi Tao made one mistake and that was when the battle stopped. Shi Tao took a step back because she knew in the high stake battle one mistake would cause trouble and the entire race would suffer.

Amelia took a healing pill and then she turned to look at Shi Lang, who was sitting in the spectator stand provocatively. Shura appeared across her and said, “If the realm lord found out about your physique, he will take you away, I can bet my Dao Path on this. Your capabilities have yet to mature and reach the apex. Given how vindictive I am, if that happened, I will destroy the myriad plans altogether. So, you can decide now.”

Amelia chuckled and said, “Even if I win, I will not participate in the tournament, but I am not letting go of the chance to beat you up.”

Shi Lang was surprised and then he chuckled as they both vanished and began to exchange blows. The crowd thought that Amelia would lose easily, but they found that the young lady dominated the pace and Shi Lang had to make a serious effort to get away from the torrent.

The Terran didn’t disappoint the people for long, he adjusted his style and the movements changed. He could react to anything and everything that Amelia threw at him. Gradually the pace began to shift, and Shi Lang gained the upper hand. Let alone others, even Amelia was surprised to see this. She hadn’t expected that Shi Lang would be able to maneuver the match into his favor and that too. She realized that his eyes were shining, it was as if he could see all her moves, and the moves that she was about to make as well.

She was confused as to how he managed to achieve that, when she suddenly thought of something and said, “I admit defeat.”

Shi Lang froze in surprise and then Amelia grabbed his hand before she said, “Come along with me.”

The two people vanished, leaving the crowd stunned. They also wanted to know what happened but that all had to wait, Shi Lang had been taken hostage by Amelia, who looked gentle but was such a tyrant that she wouldn’t spare anyone who tries to act smart with her.

Shi Lang appeared back in his courtyard, and Amelia asked, “What is going on? How could you see my moves? I can tell for sure that you were not using your technique to sense everything around you. How did you catch that roundhouse I covered between so many moves. Tell me.”

Shi Lang smiled and replied, “Well, I tried to develop a theory that would allow me to memorize the various styles of martial arts I face and find out the best way to counter them. It is just a simple execution of the phrase, ‘Be Like Water.’ I am just trying to scratch the surface of the profound capabilities that the human body has.”

Amelia shook her head and said, “Sometimes you make it impossible to defend you from the remarks like ‘Monster’ ‘Freak’ and else.”

Shi Lang chuckled and pulled her in his arms as he said, “Does it matter to me what the world calls me?”

Amelia shook her head while looking in her eyes, and suddenly she asked, “What matters to you then?”

Shi Lang didn’t even think for a second and simply replied, “You, your thoughts, and your happiness matter to me the most and your safety matters to me even more than those things. I don’t mind fighting with you to keep you safe. That Realm Lord is not a simple person, his mind is not yet focused on you, because he has to watch over the realm. We cannot have him harm you.”

Amelia sighed and then she smiled as she said, “Fine, I will not ask you to let me participate.”

Shi Lang pecked her nose and said, “Sorry.”

Amelia shook her head and asked, “What would you do now?”

Shi Lang said, “Nothing, I will fight everyone I can and improve the Void Flaw technique model.”
