Chapter 1860 - 1860: Impending War
Matheo and Malek’s faces turned red when some weakling from a lower world insulted them. It was an outright insult, and they knew that they had to keep their face with their peers. They held back from returning the insult.
“It seems like some people just don’t know we are being generous by offering protection to them. We ought to teach people like them a lesson,” Matheo was no longer acting reserved, and he said it to make sure Herman heard him.
With the Tang Empire making their exit and declaring that they left the alliance, Herman and his subordinates became the center of attention in the meeting. With the Earth Alliance in his hand, he had authority over many factions.
“What about The Earth Alliance, Sir Herman?” Matheo controlled his raging emotion and remained polite. He had a plan in mind to crush the Tang Empire, both inside the tower and in their actual world. But he needed The United Sovereign or any factions from Earth for his plan to work. He would use The Tang Empire as an example of what would happen to them if they insulted him.
Herman closed his eyes, his mind was racing, thinking of how to answer this without offending the three worlds. The Emperor had the guts to challenge the three worlds, but not him. He knew what his faction and his alliance were capable of, but he knew he could not completely bow down or else he would be treated even worse than how The Emperor treated him.
“I can’t make the decision yet because we need to talk it out. We lost the Tang Empire, and the other factions will not agree with me blindly.”
It hurt his pride to admit it, but that was the sad truth about the Earth Alliance. The reason the big and smaller factions did not mind not getting a representative seat was because of the Tang Empire. They followed the Tang Empire to obtain protection inside the tower. The United Sovereigns did not have the same force to guarantee their protection, so they would not listen to his decision even if he had something in mind.
“We will have a monthly meeting a week later. I will give our answer in the next meeting,” Herman decided to delay the decision. That was the best option for him right now.
“However, I am inclined to stay in the alliance, but I can’t make the decision without discussing it with the others.”
“Alright, we will give you one week, and I hope you can give a satisfying answer instead of following a stupid decision by the Tang Empire. I guess that’s it for the meeting. Does anyone want to add anything?” Matheo took the lead for the meeting.
Someone from the Etherna Alliance raised his hand, “We are going to fight and take back the resources under the Tang Empire’s name. I am confident that we are going to crush them but to be safe, I want more information about The Emperor.”
The way he phrased it was weird, taking it back as if those resources belonged to them in the first place.
“For him to be so confident against us, I am afraid The Tang Empire might have secured an alliance with a strong alliance in the God Realm,” The man stood up, “I know you might think I am being overcautious, but I do believe it’s better safe than sorry. I don’t want all of a sudden some factions from the Dragon Realm to come to my door.”
They had general information about Tang Shaoyang. The King of the Kingdom of Sand, Igmar, gave them incomplete information. The Emperor had the strongest bloodline on Earth, a Dragon Bloodline, and he was so powerful that he beat a whole army by himself. The information was limited to that extent, and he wanted more information from Herman. Considering The United Sovereign’s close relationship with the Tang Empire, he hoped Herman had more information about the Tang Empire and its allies.
Matheo thought the Tang Empire was just a weak faction from a lower world. There was no need to think about it deeply or even be cautious. If they combined their force, fifty God Ranks, that should be enough to wipe out the Tang Empire. However, he did not mind being cautious and was willing to learn more. He also wanted to know where that lowerborn’s confidence came from.
“Have you perhaps heard something about their allies outside Earth, Sir Herman? Or how strong is the remaining God Rank compared to him? Oh, I don’t even know his name. Let’s start with his name first.”
Herman’s heart was beating fast as he grew even more nervous. The frustration, fear, and nervousness were mixed, putting his mind in a mess. He was aware of what these people wanted to do, a full-scale war, both inside and outside the tower. However, he was not that stupid enough not to realize what it meant if the Tang Empire lost the war.
If the Tang Empire lost the war, one of the three alliances would take over Earth. There was nothing he could do against an army of the God Rank when he could not handle one of them. However, he would lose a lot as well if the three alliances became hostile toward him and his new alliance. He must have looked for the middle ground and did his best not to bring the war outside the tower.
“The only God Rank I know from the Tang Empire is The Emperor. We only found out the Tang Empire had six God Ranks in the World Congress when the leaderboard was announced. I know their names, and I will tell you their names in order.”
Herman was being honest with them. He did not know the Tang Empire had six God Ranks until the World Congress. He remembered all six names: Tang Shaoyang, Ophelius, Ophelia, Hemlin, Forlan, and Lunea. There was no data about those five individuals, and even now, he did not know which one was Ophelius or Ophelia. Based on the leaderboard, The System put Tang Shaoyang as the strongest God Ranks between the six God Ranks.
The fact Herman did not know the five God Ranks’ appearance was not good for the three alliances because they could not put a target on the people they did not know. Meanwhile, the Tang Empire could use it to surprise them with an attack.
“And I don’t know anything about their allies in the God Realm if they have any. While we are on good terms, we are not that close to sharing such a thing. However, I do hear a rumor that The Emperor is traveling outside the world to do a mission or something. That’s the reason why The Emperor doesn’t show up in the first two months.”
The person who asked Herman had a frown on his forehead, and Matheo noticed it quickly with his sharp observation.
“Do you know something that you want to share with us, Sir Fabian?”
Fabian looked up at Theo and replied, “Does the name ring a bell to you? I think I have heard something about Tang Shaoyang recently. I don’t really remember what it’s about, but I am certain I have heard the name…”
The name was quite unique as he was from a different world. That was why he remembered the name. It felt like someone casually mentioned the name, but his memories were fuzzy.
“Aren’t you overthinking, Sir Fabian? There’s no way someone from the lower world can make a name himself in the God Realm,” Matheo shook his head.
They continued the questioning for another ten minutes before the meeting was over.

Zhang Mengyao called out the high-ranking officers as soon as they returned from the meeting. She did not like what would happen, a war. Without a doubt, the Valeur Empire, the Gondar Alliance, and the Etherna Alliance would launch an attack against them after such provocation, unnecessary if she might say.
“Are we really going to war against them?” Zhang Mengyao might be reserved, but Rosalie was not. She was direct and questioned Tang Shaoyang as soon as they arrived in the meeting room.
“Not us, but me. I will fight them myself, and it’s time to show you how strong I am, no?” Tang Shaoyang smiled.
“And I wish you had a goal instead of just satisfying your desire to fight or even just because you want to show off your power, Your Majesty,” Cao Jingyi arrived in time as she overheard the conversation. She also did not like a senseless war, especially when she overheard it was Tang Shaoyang who provoked the three alliances.
Tang Shaoyang snapped toward the woman as he released the aura in the room. Cao Jingyi’s countenance paled as she fell on her knees, even his wives also knelt, and Wei Xi also knelt. Lu An, Lu An’s girlfriend So Yeon Hee, and Viona were forced out of the shadows, appearing not far from Cao Jingyi.
A bright red notification flashed in front of Tang Shaoyang, a warning from the System not to use his aura, but he locked his gaze on Cao Jingyi.
