Armipotent

Chapter 1863 - 1863: Opening Show (2)

“We should get our army ready and help Madame Romane, Sir Garnet!” Matheo stood up as he looked at the blond-haired man, “If they are taking the initiative to attack, that means they are prepared for a war, and they must bring the five God Ranks with them. We need to help Madame Romane before it’s too late.”

“Calm down, Young Master Matheo. Madame Romane will check the situation, not to fight them. She will retreat after giving a quick check, and let’s not be hasty to engage the Tang Empire. This is what The Etherna Alliance and The Gondar Alliance want.”

The man that looked at the same age as Matheo explained. He was Franck, brother to Garnet, but their hair was in contrast as Franck had chestnut-colored hair. Both brothers inherited the same eyes, the striking blue that made them look dashing.

While both looked alike, the brothers were over a hundred years, much older than Matheo who just reached forty this month. The appearance could be deceiving as the higher vitality they had, the younger they looked. No one knew how old Hubert was, even Matheo did not know, and he did not care to find out.

Hubert nodded his head in agreement, “They are clearly baiting us to fight them. The Tang Empire chooses us because we only have five God Ranks, and we should not fall to their provocation.”

Matheo wanted to say more, but Hubert gave him that weird calming stare which helped him to calm down as well.

“It doesn’t matter if they take over our resource points, Young Master Matheo. Even if they took it, they could not harvest the resources without splitting their people. If they split their people, the Gondar Alliance and the Etherna Alliance would take this chance to take the Tang Empire’s resource points. This is a patience game, and we need to be patient to achieve the best result.”

Tang Shaoyang stood in front of a portal to enter the resource point. He was standing in front of a mine with rare magical ores. It was some type of crystal that contained an ice energy inside. Aside from this one, he had taken over nine other resource points, seven gardens, and two more mines.

A hundred Demi-God Ranks followed him, they were the people picked by Zhang Mengyao and Alton. Most of them came from his vassals instead of the original Tang Empire’s people. They were mostly from the Elven Kingdom, The Beast Coven, Lycasian, and The Adventurer Guild. That was the reason why The Tang Empire had thousands if not ten thousand of Demi-God Ranks, they absorbed the force from the dimensional tower and the other worlds, even freeing the people from the dungeon. That was how the Tang Empire recovered its population, easily outnumbering many factions.

“I am surprised that the Valuer Empire didn’t come for us right away,” Zhang Mengyao and Rosalie were surprised by the lack of response from the Valuer Empire.

They had taken ten resource points and two of them were considered as a rare resource for the first floor. They even held hostage the worker, keeping them here to keep harvesting and mining the resources. That was right, they might not be able to mobilize their own people to get the resources, but with a little bit of threat, the worker would work for them.

They had been waiting in front of the ice crystal mine for half an hour, clearly waiting for a response, but no one was coming for them or even trying to take back the resource point.

“Let’s take the remaining…” Tang Shaoyang’s voice trailed as his Chaos Eyes picked up the incoming force. He recognized the leader, the woman who attended the alliance meeting from the Valuer Empire.

The woman came with a force behind her. He estimated it was around five thousand people, and maybe most of them were Demi-God Ranks.

“Get ready to fight. They are coming.”

The woman ordered the force behind her to split up, and around four thousand of them spread out, trying to surround him. A good choice to cut their retreat, but alas, it would only work if her force was superior to him which was clearly not.

Tang Shaoyang scanned the scattered force, trying to find the other four God Ranks. He must ensure that he contained the God Rank, so the Demi-God Rank could fight the people on their rank instead of getting slaughtered by the God Rank. However, he could not find the second or third God Rank. Even with Detection, each result came with a Demi-God Rank as a result. The woman was the only God Rank, and he chuckled.

“It always starts like this…” He muttered by himself. It always started with his enemy underestimating him, and it was his experience during the God Rank’s trial, The Administrator collaboration mission, and even when he fought the kings of the Void Cult.

Romane had no intention to fight at first, her job was to check the situation. However, she changed her mind when the report came back to her that only one God Rank led the attack with just a hundred Demi-God Ranks.

Of course, the main reason she made the decision was because that one God Rank was The Emperor. If she could kill or even capture The Emperor, then the Valuer Empire would obtain an expendable ally to dominate the first floor as long as they had The Emperor hostage. That was the main push to make this call without informing the other four God Ranks. She needed to be quick before The Emperor met up with the remaining four God Ranks.

She soon arrived with a thousand Demi-God Ranks behind. Added with the four thousand Demi-God Ranks that tried to flank, she was confident in her triumph that they had trapped The Emperor.

“You have been trapped. We will spare your life, including your people if you surrender!”

Romane wanted to avoid a fight if possible. Capturing The Emperor with no casualty would be better than fighting him out. Even though she knew the enemy most likely would not surrender, it was worth trying.

Tang Shaoyang chuckled and shrugged, “You should bring your friends, and maybe I will surrender.”

“Don’t regret it or blame me for not giving you a chance, arrogant lower-born!” Romane used her bloodline transformation. A wing made of fire burst out from her back, and her whole body turned into fire as her fiery hair fluttered. The fire would drop from her body and charred the ground with the aggressive fire.

Her bloodline was The Blazing Falcon, a fire elemental falcon that excelled in speed and fire elemental. It was not just any bloodline, but hers was the primal bloodline type, meaning she inherited the bloodline directly from the Blazing Falcon which was a superior bloodline.

At the same time she used her bloodline transformation, The Emperor responded timely with the bloodline transformation as well. At the same, a wave of strong aura pulsed out from The Emperor.

Romane’s heart skipped a beat as she sensed the powerful aura that combined with killing intent. She was aware that The Emperor had a dragon bloodline. The fool named Igmar was foolish enough to give them the free information, but they thought it was just a diluted dragon bloodline instead of a Primal Bloodline like hers. Now she faced him, and she felt like they might be wrong about it.

Despite her concerns, Romane would not back down from a fight. She was ready to fight The Emperor until she saw The Emperor summoned two women. A gorgeous woman with blue-grayish long hair and a beautiful dress, and the second one was a fallen angel with three pairs of wings.

She did not feel any aura from the two women, but she was not stupid enough to think a fallen angel was a weakling.

“I don’t really feel good from beating a woman, so you will fight them. Please entertain them as long as you can,” Tang Shaoyang chuckled.

Romane tried to use [Detection] on the two women, but the result was triple question marks, and the result told him the two were a summon belonging to The Emperor. They were part of The Emperor’s skill.

“Let’s see how long you can hide behind women.”

She flapped her wing, and a single flap sent her high into the sky. That was what she expected because she was confident in her speed. Only a few could match with her speed in the alliance. However, someone caught her from the back, holding her shoulders.

Romane turned around and found the fallen angel behind her, holding her shoulder with a somewhat bored expression. It was an expression that told her to do something more to entertain the fallen anger. Her brain froze for a moment, not expecting the fallen angel would easily catch her.

Another shock was that the fallen angel not just caught her, but the fallen angel tamed her fire. Her burning body did not even harm the hand on her shoulders.

“Are you really a God Rank? You look like an amateur who gets into her first fight, what a disappointment,” Zara shook her head in disappointment as her hands moved to the wing, and her right knee was on Romane’s back. With no pause, she pulled the flaming wing off, tearing it apart from the body.

“ARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!” Romane screamed in pain. She was not supposed to feel pain with her elemental body. The fallen angel should not be able to tear her wing apart when she used the elemental body, and yet it happened.

Blood spurted from the stump of her wings, but the blood was evaporated by her fire. Then Zara hit Romane with a downward kick right on the chest, sending Romane down while the latter shrieked in pain.
