Chapter 1907 - 1907: Better Safe Than Sorry

Just like how Clementine could not stop Tang Shaoyang from creating the mission, Tang Shaoyang could not stop her from following him too. They had the same authority, and Clementine could cancel the mission with her authority. However, she knew it was useless because Tang Shaoyang could create the same mission. Instead of playing a childish game like that, Clementine chose this way, joining the mission to ensure the new Executive Administrator’s safety.

Clementine did not look down on Tang Shaoyang’s power. She was aware of how strong the man was, but she had experienced the fight against the Void Cult. If the Void Cult had created a meticulous plan to kill Tang Shaoyang, they would have succeeded. She almost died countless times in the hands of the Void Cult, but her experiences saved her from them. On top of that, she had been in this position too long, and she had an ideal built for her class which she believed made her stronger than Tang Shaoyang.

Tang Shaoyang let out a sigh, “Whatever, as long as you don’t get in my way. Remember, you are supervisors for the mission. You don’t get to fight the calamity, they are all mine.”

“Wait, you can’t do that. The purpose of this mission is to train the other administrators, to fight a stronger adversary in a hostile environment!” Clementine called out.

“Oh, he can.” “Oh, I can!”

Tang Shaoyang and Arion replied at the same time. Tang Shaoyang turned toward Arion for a moment, surprised. He just realized how easy it is for people to read him. Clementine did the same when he visited her place earlier.

“Aren’t you supposed to help me here, Arion?” Clementine did not like how Arion sided with Tang Shaoyang. As a senior, they should teach the work and be an example, but Arion was following Tang Shaoyang’s whim.

“You can’t stop him, Clementine. Did I forget to tell you how stubborn he is? But thanks to him, the number of abandoned worlds will decrease substantially in the next ten years,” Arion winked at Tang Shaoyang.

Clementine was about to say something, but Tang Shaoyang waved his hand at her, “This is not a discussion, Clementine. You have your goal, and I have my goal as well. I will not interfere with what you are doing, but I hope you will do the same. This is the reason why I am still here even though half of the Executive Administrators supported Palmas to kill me.”

Clementine glanced toward Arion, hoping the latter would help her to speak with Tang Shaoyang. Arion shrugged, shaking his head.

“Alright then, I guess we will be seeing each other a lot during the mission,” Clementine got up from the sofa, giving up to persuade Tang Shaoyang, “See you again in a week…” Her body disappeared.

“Be careful of the Nirvana Alliance. Now they found out that you are capable of killing an Emperor and the Kings of the Void Cult. They will take their measure to another level just to kill you,” Arion disappeared after the warning.

It was out of nowhere, but he was not surprised if Arion knew something about the Divine Church. Arion had his way with information, just like he stopped the battle against the Divine Church, ending it with a truce. He had his way to know an event that happened in a new world like Earth, it told how extensive Arion’s information network was.

“Let’s think about the Nirvana Alliance when I am ready. The future problem will be handled by the future me,” Tang Shaoyang muttered before he realized something, looking up at the ceiling, “Now I have to deal with the trespassing issue. You can’t let anyone get into my room, Adam. From now on, you can’t let anyone enter my room unless you have my consent, understand?”

[Yes, Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang.] A quick response from Adam.

“Now what to do?” He checked the details for the special mission once more, then he closed it. He thought he would be on a mission today, but that changed because the Void Cult ceased their movement. There was nothing to do now.

“Maybe get to the dimensional tower again? It starts to get interesting…” He muttered.

[My treasury, Master! My treasury, Master! You promise to give me a treasury!]

Tang Shaoyang let out a chuckle when he heard Glodden’s voice in his head, “Guess we will go back home…” His voice trailed off as there was something off. There was this odd feeling that told him he might forget about something. He tried to remember what he had forgotten about, but nothing was coming up in his head.

He asked his spirits, but all of them did not really pay attention to what he did. He left the room with that odd feeling. Before going back to Earth, he met with his teams. They had a little discussion, and surprisingly, the team was intact, in fact, The Reds were expanding.

The previous Admin Helpers had become Junior Administrators, and they had their own Admin Helpers. They had picked a new captain, not to replace his position as a leader in the team, but someone who would lead them in the mission. As an Executive Administrator, Tang Shaoyang no longer had the same mission quotas as them. He could not be joining them in all those missions.

They reached an agreement to appoint a captain and two vice-captains who would take the lead in the mission, and Tang Shaoyang retained his position as the leader of the team.

They picked Khaya as the Captain because of her experiences and also her power which could be said the strongest after Tang Shaoyang in the team. Then Anna was the first Vice Captain, and Ira would be the second Vice Captain.

“Would this be the same with the previous special mission?” Ira asked about the mission. In the previous mission, they didn’t get to do anything. Tang Shaoyang did all the work, and that was what Ira wanted to know.

“You get to fight the calamity near the fort, beyond that, it’s a competition against me,” Tang Shaoyang did not hide it from them.

Khaya was not part of the first special mission, so she did not know what they were talking about, “We plan to join the special mission until the details you put in the mission. Can you tell us more about the mission? Will it be dangerous for the newbie?”

Their teams consisted of Junior Administrators and Admin Helpers with a handful of Senior Administrators. If it was a dangerous place even for an Executive Administrator, it would be better to exclude Ira and the other Junior Administrators.

“I am not sure myself. We don’t have that much information about the Skywound Realm. It was a Martial World, and a faction called the Thousand Vows Pavilion based on that world before the Void Cult took them? Don’t force yourself to join if it’s too dangerous. This time I can’t be with you all the time.”

Tang Shaoyang told them that he could not be with them all the time just like before. He had his own matter, and maybe he would take a visit to the fort they teleported to after he finished the trial.

After another ten minutes of talking with them, Tang Shaoyang returned to Earth. He appeared in the top restaurant where teleported out to the Administrator Space. He spent one and a half an hour in the Administrator Space…

“Ah, my reward!” He finally remembered what he had forgotten earlier. He remembered when he recalled how long he stayed in th Administrator Space. Most of the time was spent looking for a class. That was how he remembered.

“It’s because of Arion and Clementine,” He put the blame on those two. They distracted him, and he forgot about the reward. The God of Martial was something he bought with Credits, not something he got as a reward.

“Whatever, I will get back into it later,” Tang Shaoyang was too lazy to return even though he could do it right away, “So I have more time to think about my next class. Yep, that’s right, I need some more time to think about the new class, not because I want to meet my daughter or get into the Dimensional Tower.”

Unfortunately, Tang Xiulan and her sisters were taking a nap. He let out a sigh while looking at his sleeping daughters. He got out of the room silently followed by Elin, Ava, and Zhang Mengyao.

“I thought you were going for a big mission?” Zhang Mengyao asked curiously. Elin and Ava also wanted to know why her husband came back so early.

“There’s no mission for me. The Void Cult stopped making trouble after I killed one of their leaders…” Tang Shaoyang’s voice trailed off as he thought of something.

“We need to increase and tighten our surveillance,” He said out of nowhere.

Ava and Zhang Mengyao were confused as it came out of nowhere.

“Do you remember what happened to Yu Shun? The take over thing?” Tang Shaoyang just remembered what the God Rank from the Nirvana Alliance did to Yu Shun. Now he thought about it, what stopped them from doing the same? What if the Nirvana Alliance did it on a bigger scale?

Then there is this Void Cult as well. He killed one of their supreme leaders. The Void Cult was for sure wanted him dead for that. He realized that one of the Emperors was a former Executive Administrator who possessed extensive knowledge about skills and techniques. The former Executive Administrator might have similar skills that could disrupt his people from far away places.

Tang Shaoyang shared what was in his mind, but he hoped he was being paranoid. But still, they needed to increase their number of people to watch for anomalies, something unusual, in case something weird happened. Better safe than sorry.
