The elderly face on the trunk twitched, and the Rootless Tree Ancestor sighed.

It was a heavy and sorrowful sigh.

It seemed to realize its fate.

It said nothing, but began to raise its own energy, perhaps using this to express its attitude: fight to the death!

Tang Jie’s body erupted like a ball of lightning, intense light spraying in all directions.

At the same time, on the Rootless Tree Ancestor’s side, the Eternal Flame traveled along the root, moving from the underground to the surface, rapidly spreading outward from the center.

This was a magnificent scene.

A human cultivator was shooting lightning which was shattering the fabric of space around it.

A giant tree was ablaze with flames that reached as high as the Astral Winds and deep as the core of the world. Such was the inferno that Yun Tianlan, Mu Ziyang, Xu Miaoran, and Yiyi all backed away.

Lightning and fire mixed together in a grandiose and terrifying sight.

And then they simultaneously disappeared.

Yes, they disappeared.

That wondrous spectacle vanished as if it had never existed.

The tree was still a tree, and the human was still a human.

But the energy that had wreaked havoc on the world was still there: the furious gales, the canyons carved into the earth, the craters created by the lightning, and the mountains burned bald by the flames all proved that this had been no illusion.

Tang Jie floated motionlessly in the air.

“Tang Jie!” Xu Miaoran shouted in concern.

She wanted to go over and check on her husband.

Yun Tianlan stopped her. “Don’t worry. He’s fine.”

“Ancestor, how do you know?” Xu Miaoran asked.

“Look at it.” Yun Tianlan pointed at the old tree.

The human face on the trunk was staring solemnly at Tang Jie.

As the existence closest to Tang Jie, as the one that had stuffed core energy into Tang Jie, it had the keenest sense of Tang Jie’s condition.

To its shock, the core energy that should have made Tang Jie explode had abruptly disappeared.

The Rootless Tree Ancestor’s heart trembled.

Tang Jie chuckled. “Haha, that really had quite the kick. Hahaha, that supplement was just a little too spicy, almost making me choke. But do you still have any more? If you do… then I want it ALL!!!”

His final word was infused with a thunderclap that made the Rootless Tree Ancestor dizzy.

Tang Jie pulled hard on the root whip, pulling it right off the tree ancestor’s body.

It had to be understood that this whip was made from thousands of the Rootless Tree Ancestor’s roots, and having them all pulled off made the Rootless Tree Ancestor howl in pain.

Tang Jie swung a fist. “DIE!”

It slammed into the trunk of the Rootless Tree Ancestor.

The sky-towering tree shuddered and swayed, bark shedding from the trunk as the old face twisted in pain.

There was no Myriad Yin Yang Furnace or Sovereign Blade. Tang Jie had simply used his primal strength, exploding with such terrifying power that even the Rootless Tree Ancestor that had rooted itself into the domain core found it hard to resist.

As it yelled in pain, thousands of branches and roots once more lashed at Tang Jie, and tumors barraged Tang Jie.

The Rootless Tree Ancestor was pulling on the domain core with reckless abandon, not caring for whether it could endure it or not. But Tang Jie still stood tall, still fighting like a madman!

His perfect body that had experienced another round of deeper fusion displayed all of its newfound power, the exploding core energy tumors only dealing surface-level wounds. His body was drenched in blood, but his life force remained strong.

But compared to Tang Jie, the Rootless Tree Ancestor was even scarier.

As a veteran True Immortal that specialized in defense, this tree sprite was showing how terrifying it could be, and after being afflicted with the Eternal Flame, it also showed its impressive regeneration, all of this further empowered by the domain’s core.

Gradually, the balance of power between these two maniacs became clear: it was still the Rootless Tree Ancestor with the upper hand.

“Hahahaha!!!” The Rootless Tree Ancestor crazily laughed. “All of you are no match for me! You will all die here!”

“Is that so?” Tang Jie casually said.
