Chapter 4020 - Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror

In the following days, Tianming had Yin Chen continue keeping an eye on the situation. The Eightpart Pantheons had completely sealed off the exits of the Ninelives Cave as they entered the last phase of ninelives fruit harvest. Even though there were more than ten million fruits remaining, the attack could begin at any time.

He also continued working on the cosmic art or using the little beastballs to progress. Whenever he had spare time, he would kiss the chaos swordmaidens to assimilate their power.

"You said that a seventh-level cosmic god of the Eightpart Pantheons just left Miracle Mountain?" Tianming just heard from Yin Chen that it was a wonderian. Even though he would love to hunt them down, they were traveling with an entire cohort of people. It would be a risky move, so he didn't attempt it. "Why are they leaving even though the fight's about to begin?"

Something was amiss and he could only wait for Yin Chen to eavesdrop on the enemy for more intel. In time, Yin Chen woke him and pulled his caelum back from the Grand-Orient Sword. "Something big... is going... down down!"

"What is it?" Tianming asked, still drowsy.

"The wonderian... who left... brought a... killer weapon... back to... kill you!"

"Killer weapon?"

Yin Chen elaborated even more.

"I have to talk to the others from the Primordial Sands! The three of us can't deal with something of that magnitude," Tianming said to Moran and Zi Zhen. They agreed without question. Eventually, the three of them asked to see Jiang Feifei and the others. The four seventh-level leaders were there as well.

"Brother Lin, is there an urgent matter?" Jiang Feifei noted that something was off from Tianming's strict aura. They had been picking ninelives fruits while preparing themselves for the final fight. Many of them had made a vow to fight to the death to break out of the cave.

"A wonderian pair called Taiyin and Taiyang left earlier and just returned to Miracle Mountain with a godshaker-class cosmic relic," Tianming said, immediately causing the others around him to quiver. They grimaced at the thought of a godshaker-class cosmic relic, which was far more powerful than normal ones. They were so rare that only rulers of maniverse-class worlds possessed them.

Able to destroy entire landscapes, godshaker-class cosmic relics were as powerful as divine astralships without being nearly as large. It was said that they could even be used to destroy fusion formations of fortuna-class worlds and completely collapse them. Even though they weren't able to obtain the super cosmic relic from Miracle Mountain, they brought one in of their own accord!

"So that’s their strategy. They're going to risk losing the godshaker-class cosmic relic if it means they'll be able to blast apart the Ninelives Cave and rid us of the terrain advantage," Jiang Feifei said with her brows deeply furrowed, face filled with worry.

"Not just that! We're all gathered within the cave, so if they bombard us, we'll be mostly done for!" Lin Chaoge said. He wasn’t exactly panicking, but he did feel the pressure of thirty thousand young lives upon his shoulders. Losing them would be a disaster for the Primordial Sands' future.

"Godshaker-class cosmic relics are so rare that they're unlikely to be handed to juniors, yet they were crazy enough to do it," Ji Lin said, face completely pale. This was something they simply couldn't compete against. The Primordial Sands had far too few of those weapons, so there was no way juniors would be given any to use.

Not to mention, all of them were trapped and couldn't leave.

"Brother Lin, do you know which one it is?" Jiang Feifei asked.

"I think it's called the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror," Tianming said.

"That's even worse news. It's the most powerful cosmic relic among the Ten Desolate Starforges and is mainly used to break fortified positions. The Ninelives Cave will never be able to hold up against it," Lin Chaoge said. The fact that it was named 'empyrean' meant that it was powerful to some extent. The world, Empyrean Yin-Yang, was ruled by the wonderians and housed a quasi imperial lineage, making them even superior to those of Saturatia-49.

"Is it Taiyang Zhao and Taiyin Yuan?" Jiang Feifei asked.

"Yes!"

"They're seventh-level cosmic gods ranked second on the Ten Desolate Cosmic Genii Ranking. At least two of the four of us would be needed to hold them back, and even then it wouldn't be easy," Jiang Feifei said. The wonderian couple was no doubt stronger than Shiming Shengshi, even down to their talent, not to mention they had a thousand other wonderians with them.

Right as they returned, the others from the Eightpart Pantheons were ready to receive them, though it was only a small group to prevent the Primordial Sands' forces from running off. The only advantage Tianming still had was the Eightpart Pantheons' ignorance of his surveillance capabilities.

"Hear me out," Tianming said, seeing them so helpless. "The three of us plan to go out and fight them for the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror. The enemy has elites and about a thousand troops, so it'll be really risky for us to go without your support. Since we need to move fast, we don't need a lot of people. Instead, we need the best to accompany us. It’s no doubt dangerous, but at the very least it's an option for you if you don't want to sit and wait for your doom. If we succeed, we'll be able to turn things around for sure."

"Alright! How many do you need?" Jiang Feifei asked.

"The best one among you and at least a hundred fourth-level cosmic gods or more. What the hundred needs to do is to hold the thousand wonderians back until we obtain the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror. Then you scatter and flee on your own. As the area outside the Ninelives Cave is their territory, the chances of death are high, so we need those willing to fight and possibly sacrifice themselves. It’s the only thing we can do to protect everyone!"

"It's a suicide mission...." The others who heard it fell silent.

"Brother Lin’s right. We’re in a desperate situation, so some of us will have to be sacrificed to save the tens of thousands of others. We can only win if we take away their killer weapon," Lin Chaoge said. "I’m willing to go with Brother Lin! Is there anyone else who wishes to volunteer?!"
