_1 Chapter 942: Chapter 886: Prepared for Aliens?
_1 Lincoln was busily preparing for his evening date.
Little did he know, his date, Camille Victoria was speeding along the [All-Star Track] he developed himself and inevitably feeling some resentment…
As Princess Victoria, she originally just wanted to cheer for her boyfriend and intended to complete every track Lincoln had created.
On the [Night City Music Circuit], she randomly got a gentle love song.
With the rhythm of the entire city, she joyfully finished the whole race.
Although she only finished eighth, the overall experience was incredible, adding to her admiration and affection for Lincoln’s talent.
She was even planning to build a leisure track for relaxing sightseeing drives, sharing the joy and excitement with everyone.
However, the [Hard] Mode tracks truly lived up to their name.
The racetracks were extremely intricate, filled with a multitude of “stunt” designs.
Racers were required to keep the throttle at its maximum, constantly accelerating, with various leaps, wall climbs, choosing lanes, traps, falling rocks, collapses, 360-degree rotations, it was a mess of thrills.
Any mistakes would result in an instant death.
However, on this mind-blowing difficult track, Lincoln gently provided a lot of signposts——

Lincoln gave timely and clear prompts at all the points where players needed to act.
As long as racers could react and carry out the correct actions, they could definitely narrowly avert disaster and complete the super exciting stunts.
This almost turned the racing game into a Beat Saber-like game.
At first, players were surely in a flurry, but after multiple attempts, even novice drivers, once they got the hang of it, could show some flashy and exciting operations.
Once successful, the sense of achievement was off the charts.
So, though the difficulty was extremely high, this track received rave reviews.
Princess Victoria was no different, after having completed the race.
When she watched the replay of her own race, she simply couldn’t believe she could do it!
She jumped up with excitement, without hesitation, shared the video with Shuihua and her older sister.
Such joyful mood, lasted until she entered the [Extremely Difficult] [Cloud Dream All-Star Track].
Then it abruptly ended.
After trying six times in a row, she couldn’t help but have some doubts about life.
Shuihua also added fuel to the fire by asking her, “Did Lincoln conceal his wicked exertions in the first three difficulty levels and then let loose all his wickedness on this track?”
Camille had nothing to say in response.
But in her frustration, she admired Lincoln even more — after all, he had completed this outrageously difficult track!
She made up her mind secretly: “When we meet tonight, I must watch Lincoln’s walkthrough video and learn from it.”
“It would be best if Lincoln could carry me through it once…”
…
Setting aside Princess Victoria’s unrealistic expectations of her boyfriend, players with great anticipation rushed into the brand-new mode — [Endurance Race].
This previously unavailable mode was unlocked when the number of tracks created by players exceeded 5000.
——The speed of players creating tracks is a continual crawling process.
It was very slow at the beginning, with the number of tracks increasing by tens, but just after an hour, it started to rise by hundreds or even thousands per second.
5,000 tracks were easily achieved.
Super Tomato immediately opened the [Endurance Race] mode and found that this game mode was also divided into four difficulty levels, but only the [Easy] mode was currently available.
He chose this difficulty level, then a simple highway line with 15 nodes appeared in front of him, representing his own car stopped at the first node.
There are two icons in the upper left corner of the window, one is [Garage: 10], and the other is [Record: 0].
Super Tomato easily figured out the gameplay and explained to his live-streamer community, “There are 10 cars in the garage at the beginning, which equates to 10 lives, and I use these 10 lives to challenge consecutive tracks.”
“Once all the cars blow up, that means all lives are used up.
At that point, the record will be left, and then it starts from scratch.”
“Got it, let’s rush!”
He decisively clicked on [Start Now].
The first road looked simple to the point of explosion, and it was just a straight highway, with the finish line right in front of him!
Super Tomato didn’t have to work hard at all, he easily raced to the finish line by stepping on the accelerator all the way.
When he crossed the finish line, he was even a bit disappointed——
“What sort of track is this?
I’ve got to rate it down!”
But after he said this, he suddenly felt something was amiss: “Where’s the results window?”
He stopped behind the finish line, feeling a little puzzled.
The track timer was still ticking away by the minute and second.
After all, Super Tomato was clever and he often found loopholes while helping Cloud Dream to test for “bugs”, and so he thought of a possibility very quickly —
“Is this finish line a fake??”
“Then where’s the real one?”
He looked around, seeing nothing but a straight highway, with buildings on either side.
He turned his car around from the finish line, returned to the starting point, and quickly realized from checking the entrances of the buildings along the way, most of them were small gates, only five shopping malls had entrances large enough for a car to enter.
Super Tomato drove into each to check, and indeed found the real finish line in the center of the third shopping mall.
After crossing the finish line, not only did the results window pop up, but also a system prompt:
[Track completed successfully, Garage+3]
Super Tomato swiftly gave a thumbs-down to this track, and then commented, “Hiding the finish line is too wicked!”
Then he looked at his own [Garage: 13] data and analyzed:
“If every level we pass adds 3 lives, then the margin of error would be much higher, and wouldn’t that just make this competition about who can grind the hardest?”
“No wonder it’s called an endurance race…
I think I can already see someone pushing the record past 10,000 ….”
“Let’s set a small goal for today, reach 100 and then end the broadcast!”
Super Tomato confidently entered the next track.
This track was much more superior to the first one and even more absurd —
Super Tomato found himself riding a bicycle instead of driving a car.
In front of him, there wasn’t a complete track but rather planks stuck together.
The author was kind enough to put checkpoints where they could easily be seen.
To prevent the players from getting lost, there were numerous arrow direction signs along the way, which were indeed pointing towards the checkpoints and not misleading.
But these settings did not make Super Tomato thankful to the author.
Because the drivers were all standing on the ground with their bicycles, but the checkpoints, against all logic regarding gravity and structure, appeared on planks that extended all the way up into the sky!
They had to start from the ground, riding their bicycles with human strength on narrow, slanting planks without guardrails that frequently broke off and required them to jump gaps, all the way to the finish line a hundred meters up in the sky!
Just by looking at it, Super Tomato was one hundred percent certain: his remaining 13 lives were not enough!
While he was bewildered, the other drivers had already started racing on the slope, pushing their bicycles.
Super Tomato had no choice but to follow, while grumbling as he did so: “Why are they in such a hurry?
ƝονǤο.сᴑ
Can’t they see this isn’t about speed?”
Before he finished speaking, one of the guys had already fallen from a height equivalent to two stories with a cry.
“Bang!”
The guy wasn’t dead, but his bike was wrecked — the wheel had bent ninety degrees.
As the guy was grumbling about the “rubbish quality”, he spawned a new bicycle and set off since again.
Super Tomato didn’t have the heart to mock others, because three minutes later, he followed in the guy’s footsteps — failed to ride his bike on a tightrope, slid off a log that was only palm-width wide, crashed with a bang onto the ground and died instantly, reappearing a second later along with his bike.
[Garage: 12]
Super Tomato stood still, looking up at the players above his head, he was taken aback when he realized: there were actually two guys who, like acrobats, were riding their bicycles higher and higher, reaching the third checkpoint in no time!
This made him swallow his words about ridiculing the author, and instead he could only complain: “So this is supposed to be the easy level?”
As he spoke, another guy fell from high above.
And with his death, a new system prompt popped up —
[The average number of deaths on this track is significantly overweight, it’s now promoted to a “Hard” track, if the number of deaths still exceeds the standard in Hard mode, it will be promoted to “Extremely Hard”.]
” Eh?”
Super Tomato subconsciously gaped.
“The difficulty level of the track is determined by the number of deaths??”
“If there are too many deaths on an easy level, it will be upgraded to a normal level, if there are still too many deaths on a normal level, it will be upgraded to hard…
Is this how it’s gradually increasing?”
Looking again at the absurd bicycle track, he couldn’t resist saying, “Who in the world could handle an [Extremely Hard] endurance race?”
“Is it designed for aliens?”
