Chaos Heir

Chapter 1252 Terms

Chapter 1252 Terms

Jenna was confused and perplexed. She knew Khan had told Ilman about the Nele. She had shared part of that knowledge herself while learning more about the Niqols and was quite sure the topic about the one had come out.

Nevertheless, Ilman clearly didn't understand the topic's implications, and Jenna had long since realized that the Niqols was honest to a fault.

Ilman's current confusion wasn't a trick. Somehow, he didn't connect his lack of mindless attraction to that meaningful topic, which could have alternative explanations.

Jenna felt that Ilman was strong. His species also had a deep connection and control over mana and emotions, so he might have built a tolerance to the pheromones, especially after drinking potions every day.

Yet, the Nele wouldn't be the Nele if their curse were so easy to overcome. Jenna was also special, so she couldn't disregard the issue.

"Ilman, how does my touch feel?" Jenna asked, her face still in Ilman's palm.

"It's like the caress of a harmless sunlight," Ilman declared.

A sweet smile broadened on Jenna's face. She didn't know everything but had learned about Nitis' crisis and its dreadful sunlight. Clearly, that was one of the greatest compliments Ilman could voice, and his captivated face vouched for that.

Nevertheless, confusion soon dawned upon Jenna. Customs aside, the Nele were a deeply sexual species, and they took pride in their innate gifts.

Everything about the Nele seemed engineered to stir arousal, which they paid for through more intense urges. Jenna sensed that in Ilman, but the Niqols looked more sentimental than on the verge of taking her, which didn't make sense with the absence of the potion.

"Do you like me?" Jenna wondered.

"Of course!" Ilman confirmed, showing no shame. "How could I not like you?"

That blunt response didn't solve Jenna's doubt, but she couldn't help but find it cute. Ilman was an open book, a proud, gentle, and honest one. Jenna didn't need to rely on her senses to know he would never do anything that might hurt her.

That confidence ended up worsening Jenna's urges. Ilman wasn't like Khan, but the two were undoubtedly similar, especially in their desire to treasure her.

However, a stark difference separated the two men, putting Jenna in a complicated situation. Back then, Khan had held back because giving in to the temptation would ultimately hurt Jenna. Instead, Ilman didn't have those problems.

"The Nele's touch should make anyone lose control," Jenna pointed out, sliding her free hand down to place it on Ilman's chest.

"My self-control is unmatched among the Niqols," Ilman declared. "I'll even improve it to respect your customs."

"All my customs?" Jenna wondered, the desire in her eyes intensifying.

Ilman panicked as Jenna clung to his robe and squeezed the hand on her cheek, standing up only to place her knees on his sides. She partially sat on Ilman's lap, supporting herself on the metal box and his figure while her purple eyes pierced that red radiance.

"Jenna!" Ilman gasped, but Jenna wasn't in the mood to listen to reason.

"Can I trust you completely?" Jenna questioned, her solemn tone fighting against the intense urges on her face. She was silently begging Ilman to agree, and he couldn't lie or reject her.

"Always!" Ilman declared, and his torture began.

"The Nele are afflicted by intense urges," Jenna explained, leaning deeper on Ilman, "And my talents make them even stronger."

Ilman spread his free arm to put it as far away from Jenna, but the hand on her cheek didn't move. He couldn't force it to escape her grasp out of fear of hurting her.

"But they are part of who I am," Jenna continued, leaning forward to approach Ilman's face. "I take pride in them and feel no shame in fulfilling part of my desires when I can."

Ilman lowered his head, only for Jenna to place her forehead on his. Her warmth spread over his face, but he kept it down to control his most basic urges.

"You shouldn't do this," Ilman said, almost begging.

"It's fine, right?" Jenna giggled. "I feel bad for using you, but it's hard to hold back when you are so permissive."

Jenna wanted to stay in that position as long as possible, fulfilling her urges without crossing the line. Yet, Ilman suddenly lifted his head, forcing her to retreat a bit.

"If this helps you," Ilman stated, "You can use me as much as you want!"

Normally, any guy in the world would kill to be in Ilman's position. His words could also have deeper, impure meanings, but Jenna saw the truth. Ilman was at his wits' end but was still willing to suffer to make Jenna's life easier.

Jenna truly didn't know how to take that. She had established a similar relationship with Khan, and that had its fair share of difficulties. However, Ilman somehow felt more problematic since the two had no real reason to hold back.

"Should I hold you to this promise?" Jenna asked. "I've already kissed Khan and Liiza. Maybe I should do that with you, too."

"Nonsense!" Ilman cried. "I could never disrespect your customs like that!"

"It's just a kiss," Jenna reassured. "I'm sure you have plenty of experience."

"I do," Ilman confirmed, "But the Nele are different."

"A kiss is within what I can compromise," Jenna explained, placing her forehead on Ilman's again. "What I've already compromised."

Jenna leaned even further, planning to plant a simple kiss on Ilman's lips, but the hand on her cheek finally mustered some strength, stopping her mouth from crossing those last few centimeters.

"Jenna, you shouldn't," Ilman warned, his voice more serious. "My feelings have already created problems. I can't let them become a burden for you."

"Why would they become a burden?" Jenna asked.

"I'm more intense than most Niqols," Ilman explained. "You can use me however you want, but I'm afraid my feelings for you will explode if you kiss me."

"You'd rather hold back than love me?" Jenna questioned.

"It's for your own good!" Ilman declared. "If I love you, you'll become my life, and making you happy will become my sole desire."

"How is that bad?" Jenna wondered. "Love is the greatest drive in the universe. That's how it should be."

"My love has already hurt my dear friends," Ilman stated. "I can't let it hurt you, too."

"But the Nele see love, true love, as the most important aspect of their lives," Jenna revealed. "We wouldn't mind hurting our species because of it."

"I would never allow you to put your species at risk," Ilman said. "It's why I have to refuse you."

"Oh," Jenna realized, blinking. "Your terms are acceptable, then."

Ilman's eyes went wide when Jenna tilted her head to kiss his palm. He instinctively retracted his hand, and Jenna exploited that opening to reach for his lips.
