Chapter 1981: Activating Dragon Spiral Mountain’s Teleportation Device

When Yuan arrived at the training ground, Xi Meili was engaged in a fierce spar with one of the young dragons.

“What happened to her? She’s improved a lot since I last saw her. Even her cultivation has soared,” Yuan remarked as they watched from a distance.

Xi Meili’s cultivation had somehow soared to the peak of Divine Ancestor in two short years, and her aura had grown so exponentially that Yuan almost didn’t recognize her at first.

“She’s trained with our most experienced instructors nearly every single day for the last two years. It was already apparent from the very beginning that she had tremendous potential and talent, but we’ve underestimated how much talent was dwelling within her.”

“After training for a year, her training progress suddenly skyrocketed toward the heavens, as if something within her bloodline awakened,” said the Dragon Emperor.

“Honestly, I was quite surprised when it happened,” he added. “Her bloodline is more powerful than I’d initially anticipated. I’m really intrigued by its origins.”

“She’s closely related to the Dragon Ancestor,” Yuan said.

“Dragon Ancestor… I wonder where he is right now.”

Eventually, Xi Meili defeated her opponent.

“Damn it! I lost again!” The young dragon complained out loud.

“It was a good fight.” Xi Meili extended her arm toward her opponent.

The young dragon grabbed it and spoke with a defeated smile, “You’re a monster, Senior Sister.”

“You only say that because you’ve never seen a real monster before,” Xi Meili chuckled.

It was at this moment that Xi Meili noticed Yuan.

“Speaking of the devil…”

She leaped from the stage and landed before Yuan.

“I didn’t realize you’d be back today! Welcome back, Yuan!”

“I’m back,” he smiled.

“I’ve been so focused on training that it doesn’t even feel that long since you left,” she said.

“I can tell. You’ve worked hard.”

“I know you just came back, but how about a spar?”

“Why not? I might as well stretch my body before I activate the teleportation device.”

Yuan jumped onto the stage with Xi Meili, and the two of them began sparring immediately. However, neither was going all out in the beginning, and they chatted as they fought.

“I heard you had to protect the Azure Dragon Clan from an invasion. How was it?”

“It was a good experience since I got to fight with Immortals and even a few God Ascension experts.”

“Hm? Wait! You’re already at the peak of Immortal Ascension?! I was going to brag about my cultivation progress, too!” Xi Meili exclaimed after noticing his cultivation.

Though she was happy for him, Xi Meili couldn’t help but feel a little dejected since she thought she’d closed the distance between them, even if it was just slightly.

However, she quickly shook off those negative thoughts and declared, “I’m going to train even harder!”

“That’s the spirit.” Yuan laughed.

Their spar quickly increased in intensity, with both of them using Dragon Awakening at the end.

The spar lasted for thirty minutes until Xi Meili ran out of energy and forfeited.

“I’ve defeated you before, and I won’t stop training until I can do it again!” she said afterward.

“I like your enthusiasm. Here, let me give you a little push.”

Yuan suddenly retrieved a spatial ring and offered it to her.

“What’s this?” Xi Meili asked as she accepted it.

“A little something I acquired from the Azure Dragon Clan. Take a look inside.”

When Xi Meili peeked inside the spatial ring, she nearly dropped it from shock.

“Ar-Are you sure I can have this?!” she stuttered.

“Of course. I got it specifically for you.”

“Thank you…” Xi Meili was at a loss for words.

There were several Empyrean-grade treasures inside the spatial ring.

When Xi Meili looked inside the spatial ring again, she realized there was actually a Celestial-grade treasure in there.

“You didn’t rob the Azure Dragon Clan, did you?” she asked in a joking tone.

Yuan chuckled and said, “It could be considered robbery.”

In his eyes, he had obtained these treasures in exchange for merely two drops of his blood, making it feel less like a fair trade and more like outright robbery.

Moreover, although these treasures were powerful, they were meant for dragons. Though Yuan could wield them since he had the body of a dragon, these treasures would not replace his current treasures.

“I’m going to activate the teleportation device now.”

“You’re going to return to your original world, right? Do you think I can come with you to see it?” Xi Meili asked.

Yuan pondered for a moment before saying, “You can visit, but since we don’t know how things will end up, let’s wait until after I regain my body.”

“Okay!”

With the silver key in his possession, Yuan traveled to the peak of the teleportation device at the top of the Dragon Spiral Mountain.

Meanwhile, Xi Meili, the Dragon Emperor, as well as several high-ranking members of the Holy Dragon Clan, followed as spectators.

Some time later, Yuan stood before the stone tablet with the keyhole.

Taking a deep breath, Yuan firmly pressed the silver key into the keyhole.

In an instant, the ancient symbols etched across the platform before him ignited with an ethereal glow, pulsing with a mysterious energy that seemed to awaken the very air around him.

“Won’t this require a lot of spiritual energy to activate?” Yuan asked.

The Dragon Emperor then spoke, “Yes, but this device automatically collects spiritual energy, and since it hasn’t been used since the Immortal Monarch’s Era, it should have gathered enough spiritual energy for a few uses.”

Moments later, a brilliant pillar of light erupted from the platform, shooting skyward with blinding intensity before expanding outward, tearing open the fabric of space and forming a massive, swirling portal suspended in the air.

At the same time on Earth, the Lord, who had been cultivating in silence, suddenly opened his eyes and rose to his feet, his gaze lifting sharply toward the sky, as if sensing a distant ripple that transcended worlds.

“H-He did it! He’s finally activated the teleportation device from the other side!” he exclaimed in excitement.
