Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1082: I am Destin…

Chapter 1082: I am Destin...

"Who... ARE you?!"

The Möbius-shaped satellite halted its glide the moment Alexandra’s dreadful voice thundered across the darkness, and for a heartbeat, nothing stirred, only the vast stillness of the devouring darkness.

But right at this moment, something astounding happened. The strange strip of infinity folded inward upon itself, warping as if it were made of liquid geometry. It twisted, broke apart into countless fragments, and reassembled into a new form, and a humanoid silhouette emerged.

It was small—no more than a foot tall—yet its presence defied its size. The being had no face, no features, no flesh. Instead, its body was composed of endless shifting particles, like grains of starlight and dust, each fragment flickering between ethereal colors as though entire constellations passed within it.

The figure stood upright in the air, its edges blurring like a mirage, and every movement of its form was accompanied by faint ripples that bent the very darkness around it.

Though tiny, it gave the uncanny sense of being immeasurable, as if what Alexandra beheld was only a fragment—a projection from something far, far greater.

Alexandra’s pitch-black eyes narrowed, the gray luster within them swirling faster, ’So, it isn’t merely a puppet... it is alive.’

The realization made her expression tighten, though she revealed nothing. The aura of the Möbius-figure was strange, neither law nor chaos, neither divine nor mortal—it was something between, something that even she, an ’Arcanist’, couldn’t comprehend.

She had been prepared for another Heir’s toy, perhaps even a probe sent through the veil of plains. But this... this small, faceless, shifting humanoid stirred a ripple of caution in her.

Her thoughts raced, ’If it truly is another heir, then to project such a form into the domain of Chaotic Darkness without being consumed... their Universal Godly Scripture may hold an essence that rivals or restrains mine. That means their identity is far more dangerous than I presumed...’

The tiny humanoid tilted its featureless head toward her, its countless starlit fragments whirling with accelerated intensity, as if studying her in return.

For the first time in over two millennia, Alexandra felt herself reevaluating. This was not just a messenger, not merely a bluff. This ’entity’ was far stranger, far deeper than she had expected.

The faceless figure finally raised one hand—slender, made of flowing particles—and drew a peculiar sign like a "⧖’’ on its chest. It was as if the figure was performing a greeting gesture, entirely unknown to Alexandra.

"Greetings, Heir of Chaos! It’s an absolute honor to be in your exalted presence!" An ethereal, gentle voice seemingly belonging to a male rang from the faceless humanoid.

Alexandra was on full alert in front of this small humanoid, and although he may speak the same language, she could feel a peculiar power emanating from his voice, and she didn’t dare to let her guard down.

"Since you know who I am, I think it would be fair that I know who you are as well." Alexandra impassively spoke.

"Hoho...aha, where are my manners? Please forgive me, miss. I was just excited to be in the presence of ’Chaos’." His tone was extremely humble and filled with self-reproach as if ’he’ put himself below Alexandra, which the latter didn’t buy even for a moment.

"I am Destin...Saint, and I represent ’Destiny’." The voice of Destin Saint introduced himself humbly without any arrogance or fear, even when he gave away a hint about his ’Universal Godly Scripture!’

But because of this exact point, Alexandra was baffled and in utter disbelief as she looked at the small humanoid figure as if looking at a freak.

’Destiny? A Universal Godly Scripture that represents Density? Does it mean he could predict density or control fate? But why would he tell me this? Is he not afraid I might use it against him, or is he so confident that he didn’t fear me at all?

’Or he wanted me to think that he’s also an heir of Universal Godly Scripture to earn my trust?’ Alexandra was perplexed at this moment since, with a single move, Destin Saint had completely confused her and placed more doubts in her mind.

At this moment, Alexandra felt even more wary and fearful of Destin Saint than ever before, especially if he was telling the truth about cultivating a Universal Godly Scripture that controls Destiny!

After all, destiny or fate was something that was beyond her understanding, and it was one of the most mystical and terrifying powers of the universe.

"Hoho, please don’t overthink things, miss. You see, there are special rules for people like us. One such rule is that we can’t reveal or discuss our ’Scripture’ in front of others. If we do, the other person won’t understand it because the Universal Laws will instantly hide it, even if we talked about them in roundabout ways.

"Only ’similar’ people can fully understand our peculiar conversations. So, you don’t need to worry about me divulging this information to others, just as I’m not worried about you telling others.

"Oh, another thing, I disdained to reveal this information to those unworthy dregs of cosmos. Only people like us who have been deemed worthy by our scriptures are qualified to stand at the pinnacle of the universe!" Destin Saint solemnly stated, and there was a hint of zeal at the end of his statement.

Alexandra was astounded when she heard those words, and just as Destin Saint revealed, she had no idea there was such a rule among the heirs of Universal Godly Scriptures.

’Just how far had he cultivated his scripture to know so much? Old Chaos said that as long as I cultivate it to higher levels, I’ll come into contact with secrets that I can’t access with my current power. It was something about increasing my ’authority’ over the Universe...’ Alexandra thought as she tried her best to calm her wildly beating heart and urge to question Destin Saint.

"I understand, thank you for telling me." Alexandra impassively nodded without showing her genuine emotions, and asked the most crucial question right from the get-go, "Just...what do you want from me? Shouldn’t getting rid of me or not revealing yourself as another heir of UGS be more beneficial for you? After all, if my interests aligned with yours in the future...you will be at an absolute advantage this way."

"Hoho, as expected of a fellow Arcanist, you’re not blinded by trivial matters at all." Destin Saint praised as if impressed by Alexandra’s rational demeanor, despite her burning curiosity, before he said in a cryptic tone, "To answer Miss’s questions, the reason I approached you is that I think, as fellow inheritors, we should work together instead of fighting or scheming against each other.

"I absolutely abhorred fighting and meaningless wars, especially wars among the Heirs of Universal Godly Scriptures that are capable of destroying universal rules and countless lives.

"Simply put, I want to sponsor you and trust me when I say I have access to the most exotic and rarest resources in the entire Lower, Middle, and Upper Plains. With my help, you can quickly reach your full potential!"
