Jacob watched everything play out without speaking another word. Still, the more he heard the conversation between Destin Saint and Alexandra, the more astounded he became, especially once he confirmed that Alexandra hadn’t told Destin Saint about her encounter with him in the Path of Legend.

Moreover, Jacob also noticed that Alexandra seemed to be wary of Destin Saint, and what left him in disbelief was that Destin Saint appeared to be aware of it. Yet, he could easily lead Alexandra by the nose, making him extremely wary of the mysterious owner of the UGS.

At that moment, Jacob heard Destin Saint reply to Alexandra when she asked him what he was going to do with Jacob, making Jacob’s eyes flare with eerie sharpness.

Jacob fell into silence because he couldn’t retort since he knew what Immortika was hinting at.

"Anything for immortality..." Jacob muttered the same thing he had answered Immortika that day.

’I was told what I’m getting into, and the dangers associated with it. So, I can’t blame anyone but myself...’ Jacob thought bitterly before he calmed down because even if he had another chance, he would walk on the same path as long as he could achieve immortality.

But a question still lingered in Jacob’s mind as he coldly spoke, "Just what did you do to make the entire Zodiac Plains fear you so much? Not only aren’t those heirs dead early? What are you hiding still?"

"Heh, I’m an open book, I can’t hide anything..." Immortika cryptically replied teasingly.

Jacob was unconvinced, but at that moment, the reality moved again, and this time, Alexandra asked another question, which drew Jacob’s full attention.

[So, you want to study him? Or turn him into your puppet?"]

Jacob’s heart turned cold as a chill ran down his spine when he thought about the possibility of falling into the hands of someone like Destin Saint, who was infinitely powerful than him, not to mention the former has a UGS.
