Cursed Immortality

Chapter 973: It’s Simple

Chapter 973: It’s Simple

In the darkness of the Spirit Ripper Formation, Long Nose, in her ethereal soul form, was trying to escape the formation that Nyx had hijacked with unknown means.

Truth be told, Long Nose hadn't felt fear and was so helpless for a very long time, and being done in by her own target was utterly humiliating for someone like her, not to mention she was even captured with her true soul.

Still, Long Nose was now truly afraid of Nyx and curious about her origin because of her unexpected prowess and knowledge about the Spirit Ripper Formation.

If she didn't know better, she would think Nyx was a high-ranking ATLAS member!

However, there was a saving grace: as long as Nyx can kill her here, she can always come back and seek revenge with everything she has. She can't even commit suicide because the Spirit Ripper Formation was designed to prevent that.

Now, all she could do was resist until Nyx killed her in frustration or make Nyx lose control of the Spirit Ripper Formation so she could establish contact with the Timeless City, which was even more impossible!

But Nyx seemed to have vanished, and no matter what she said or provoked Nyx, no reply was given, making Long Nose even more frustrated.

However, at this moment, the artificial dreamscape realm suddenly started to fade away, startling Long Nose before she instantly acted to escape with her true soul.

As long as the Spirit Ripper Formation stopped working, there was nothing holding her back from entering her body.

"You bitch, consider yourself lucky this time! Now that you've finally lost control of the Spirit Ripper Formation, I'll make sure you never know peace, and I'll hunt you down no matter where you hide!" She didn't forget to throw an insult at Nyx and provoked her to relieve her frustration and embarrassment!

But when Long Nose's true soul finally escaped the darkness, she was startled because she couldn't connect to her body. There was no connection at all, which should be impossible without a formation like the Spirit Ripper Formation's involvement.

Moreover, Long Nose still thought that the Spirit Ripper Formation's physical body was still within her body and Nyx had only temporarily taken control before losing it, so her confusion was completely justifiable.

However, this was just the start of her shock because the moment the darkness vanished, she appeared in an unimaginable starry space with starry rivers, a colossal cosmic tree, and a magnificent palace floating right in the center.

Long Nose had never seen anything like this before, and not even the Virtual Star World could create something like this, and it was even more realistic.

"Where am I?" Long Nose thought she was in a dream as she exclaimed in confusion.

But then, Long Nose suddenly felt a strong attraction force. The next moment, she vanished and appeared in another magnificent space. Her eyes instantly landed on the tall throne and a godly woman sitting there.

"You were saying something?" Nyx's familiar yet unfamiliar voice rang in Long Nose's mind, making her true soul tremble.

"D-dreamy…" She shuddered, unable to believe that an existence like Nyx existed in the Legendary Plains. She even thought that Nyx was a God, and now she had dragged her into a godly place.

"Indeed, I am Dreamy Ancient, and this is my Nightmare!" Nyx imposingly declared while she was secretly very pleased with herself and couldn't help but relish Long Nose's dumbfounded look.

After seeing Long Nose's current situation, she felt that all the money Long Nose had 'cheated' out of her was well worth it.

"W-who ar-are you, Your Excellency?!" Long Nose tried her best not to fall into utter despair. But she knew she was now utterly trapped in this place, and she had brought it upon herself by targeting an entity like Nyx because of her arrogance!

However, while Long Nose had a mental breakdown and Nyx was enjoying playing a God, Jacob silently observed Long Nose without entering the Nightmare Realm.

His eyes flickered as he looked at the black hourglass rooted in Long Nose's unusual true soul. It was his first time seeing a true soul, and although he didn't know if it was supposed to look like this, he had a feeling that it wasn't, and Long Nose's true soul was unique.

Furthermore, the moment Long Nose appeared in his nightmare realm, his cursed heart was reacting just like how it usually does when he encountered these hourglass freaks.

"Cursed Immortality! Tell me, if I devour that hourglass in this woman, how much progress I will make with my Jinx Core?" Jacob impassively summoned Cursed Immortality and questioned.

He didn't seem angry or frustrated about what had happened before, as if he had completely forgotten about it. Jacob knew it was meaningless to blame others, especially Immortika, who was bound by the so-called rules. He got what he could, and now he needs to rely on himself to overcome this crisis.

Immortika also didn't mention anything related to it, and like usual, its jolly voice rang, "Hehe~ you caught up quick, so I won't waste your time, I know you have already made up your mind. I'll make it simple; to evolve the Jinx Core from Fable to Legendary King State Rank, you need to devour 36 Hourglasses from Fable Legendaries, 27 Hourglasses from Legendary Nobles, or 18 Hourglasses from Legendary Lords, or just 9 Hourglasses from Legendary Kings of ATLAS.

"There is no restriction on ranks here, you just need the hourglasses from the legendary rank beings of ATLAS. Just consider those hourglasses incomplete, half, complete, and perfect, each corresponding to Legendary Rank States.

"An incomplete hourglass will give you 25,000 years, while a perfect hourglass will give 100,000 Years of Lifespan. It's simple, right? Hehehehe~!"

Realization dawned on Jacob at this moment as he asked for confirmation, "So what you're saying is, I don't need to hunt for similar rank hourglasses specifically and I can just hunt for 27 Fable Legendary Ranks and still evolve my Jinx Core to Legendary King State?"

Immortika replied promptly, "Yes!"
