Chapter 3864: History Repeats Itself
Chapter 3864: History Repeats Itself
The next day, when Dakhin was returning with his group to the teleport formation, Roan joined them again. Dakhin, obviously, was fuming! "Where the hell did you go?! I thought you had died! I was responsible for this group, and you already tried to cause trouble?! How are you still even alive?!"
Roan looked at him, his expression showing confusion. "But... Elder Ruriklin said we needed to get twenty Demon Beast Cores of Stage Three or Four, didn’t he? So I left to hunt twenty of them. Look."
Then, Roan showed the twenty cores he acquired after separating from the group.
"What?!" Dakhin looked at that, his eyes open wide. Roan wasn’t even in the Core Formation Realm yet, so how did he get to kill twenty Stage Three Demon Beasts that easily? "No, wait! What are you talking about? Who said it was twenty cores each? It was twenty cores as a group!"
"Uh?" Roan looked even more confused now. "Why would it be as a group? It wouldn’t even be a challenge. You, for example, are a Core and Soul Fusion Realm expert, so killing Stage Three Demon Beasts was pretty much a walk in the park for you. This test wouldn’t have made any sense. Let’s ask Elder Ruriklin when we get back. You will see."
Dakhin was speechless. This was a mission, sure. And yes, Stage Three and even Stage Four Demon Beasts wouldn’t be a challenge to him. However, he was here more as a supervisor than anything else. He planned to find some Stage Four and maybe a Stage Five Demon Beast to fight, so he wouldn’t be doing nothing, but Roan’s sudden disappearance changed everything. "You must have something wrong in your head."
Regardless, it was a good thing Roan was alive. Roan is a Level Ten Talent, and if he died in the very first mission and under Dakhin’s eyes, Dakhin would be the one to pay the price. "Alright, everyone, back to the clan. We got all the cores we came here for."
The others nodded, but they all looked at Roan, surprised to see the twenty cores. They weren’t confident they could have done that alone.

Later, back in the clan, Ruriklin didn’t need to hear the report from Dakhin. The elder he sent to protect the group returned earlier, telling him everything.
"Twenty on his own, and that green blob spirit pet of his is actually pretty strong..." Ruriklin wasn’t angry. If anything, he was excited to hear how good Roan actually was. "Hehe! The clan truly lucked out this time with this purchase."

Somewhere else, opposite to the Country of Boscar, one could find the Country of Trebiu. That’s where you would find the headquarters of the Liantrel Sect, which was located in a private region, not too far from the capital.
At the moment, Kentucky and Zangeshu had just settled in. Kentucky was kept in the Demon Beasts’ hall, while Zangeshu began his ’cultivation’ and ’formations’ lessons.
It goes without saying that Zangeshu was far more knowledgeable than even the Sect Master himself. However, as a different Universe, there were different runes and approaches to formations, and Zangeshu was happy to have access to those.
Zangeshu wasn’t brought here because of his Formations’ Prowess, though. Instead, his story was the same as the others. His talent was found by ’coincidence’ by a disciple of the sect, who bought him from Donfug and brought him here.
Even if the sect’s focus were formations, they couldn’t possibly let pass a cultivator with a Level Ten Talent, now could they? It wouldn’t matter even if Zangeshu had no talent whatsoever for formations, since the sect also needs strong experts to protect itself.
Nonetheless, the sect still carried out its tests. They at least needed to determine if Zangeshu possessed any talent for formation, in addition to his cultivation abilities.
Zangeshu, along with a few other new disciples, underwent a test. They were given the materials for study as well as the materials for the formations required by the test. They also got two hours to get ready, and then they had to try to build the formation.
In Zangeshu’s case, he had to make a simple Elemental Gathering Formation. Everyone got simple formations to work with; not a single one had to use Circuitry Formation Runes.
By the end of the test, Zangeshu passed it with flying colors, which made the sect even happier. Well, Zangeshu could have built a formation that would have left even the sect master envious. However, he held himself back, ensuring he appealed his abilities to the sect without making anything extreme.
As for Kentucky... well, the bird just slept as much as he could. Zangeshu told the Demon Beast Hall that there was no need to keep Kentucky locked, as he would cause no trouble. Thanks to that, Kentucky often flew to other places out of boredom.
What about the fact that Kentucky was a Minokawa? That was still a Divine Demon Beast, right? Well, turns out that Divine Demon Beasts aren’t that rare here in A1. The huge concentration of Divine and Divine Origin Energy greatly helped the overall evolution of the races over the years.
Sure, Divine Demon Beasts were still a lot rarer than normal Demon Beasts. Yet, you would still find one or two of these races every 1,000 you checked, a rate far higher than the average. That was a huge number of Divine Demon Beasts without a doubt. Another point was that A1 also had many Regal Demon Beasts.
Let’s not forget that a Universe can’t give birth to more than a single Regal Demon Beast for each race, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be two Regal Demon Beasts from different ones. Thus, except for the Werdlem Universe, the Rank A Universes had more Regal Demon Beasts than any other lower-ranked Universe by a huge margin.
Of course, Kentucky wasn’t a Regal Demon Beast anymore; he was a Celestial One. Even if he was still a Regal Demon Beast, he wouldn’t have shown it. Were there more Celestial Demon Beasts in this Universe? That he didn’t know. What mattered was that Kentucky could suppress his Celestial Bloodline to make it look like a Divine Bloodline.
For the sect, that was quite a good thing, even if Kentucky wasn’t the only Divine Demon Beast they had there. In total, there were fifteen Divine Demon Beasts in the sect, and now sixteen with him. Zangeshu was considered Kentucky’s Master, so the sect gained two great prospects for the future.
However, there was one thing that truly made Kentucky stand out in the sect...
"I love him!"
"So fluffy!"
"Get out! It’s my time!"
"Ha! Make me!"
The girls of the sect, especially the younger ones, fell in love with him... History repeats itself.
’You sure are having a great time, aren’t you?’ Rean asked Kentucky through Sister Orb after hearing about him.
’You bet I am! Hahaha!’ And Kentucky didn’t deny it at all. ’Look as your grandfather here builds the biggest Kentucky Fan Club that ever existed!’
