Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4282 The Ghostly Crow Realm Master Apologizes

Chapter 4282  The Ghostly Crow Realm Master Apologizes

The Ghostly Crow Realm Master's face shuddered, his expression twisting with rage and despair. His fists clenched so tightly that his nails dug into his palms, but no matter how much he wished to resist, the oppressive force before him crushed all notions of defiance.

If he couldn't win against the sixth wife, how could he possibly shake off the Divine Emperor of Death whose attack range was probably greater and capable of taking out Venerable Knights?

His base prowess dropped by three levels since he was no longer in the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm. He also didn't possess enough to energy to counterattack since he was drained.

Moreover, he couldn't sense his connection to his three Legacy Artifacts. Presumably, their connection with him were all broken, leaving him all alone here.

Even if he managed to escape, would his family be safe?

Davis merely tilted his head, "I'm waiting."

He didn't smirk nor look amused.

A sickening silence filled the air. The Ghostly Crow Realm Master felt the weight of Mingzhi's cold gaze beside him, filled with nothing but disdain. He grit his teeth, but as he felt the suffocating aura pressing against his soul, he knew that there was no other choice left for him at this point.

He was firmly within the Divine Emperor of Death's grasp. Even though he wasn't tied up, he didn't feel the least bit secure. The pressure was as though if he made the wrong move, it would descend and crush him to death.

His lips trembled as he opened his mouth, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Pl-please… beat me… up."

Mingzhi chuckled, covering her mouth in amusement, "That didn't sound sincere. I thought you were a noble Realm Master? Surely, you can do better?"

Davis leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand, "Indeed, that was pitiful. If you're going to beg, do it properly."

The Ghostly Crow Realm Master shook as he raised his head, his pride in tatters. He looked at Davis with rage but it died as they turned into one of pleading, the very image of a man who appeared like he couldn't endure this humiliation. He clenched his teeth, feeling like his gut was twisting. He took a deep breath and slammed his forehead into the ground.

"Please… beat me up. I was wrong! I should've never interfered! I should've never offended you or your people! Please, punish me!"

His voice echoed in the air, filled with shame and desperation. His body trembled violently as his forehead bled from the force of his bow.

"Ahh."

Davis let out an exaggerated sigh, "See? That wasn't so hard."

Then, without another word, Davis flicked his finger. A powerful force slammed into the Ghostly Crow Realm Master, sending him skidding across the ground like a ragdoll. His bones cracked, and blood spurted from his lips. Before he could even groan in pain, another wave of force struck him, flipping him in the air before he crashed down again.

This time, Davis's feet were directly upon the Ghostly Crow Realm Master's head, trying to implant it into the ground.

"No need to be reserved. You can sink further into the ground to apologize to the best of your ability."

Muffled screams rang out from the Ghostly Crow Realm Master. It was unknown if it was one of pleading or rage, but it sounded quite miserable as the Realm Master struggled.

After thoroughly implanting the Ghostly Crow Realm Master's head into the ground where only his neck can be seen from the outside, Davis removed his leg and took two steps back.

At this moment, he wished Myria was here since she should be the one who should receive this apology. Even Illumina would do since she took the hit for Myria. Unfortunately, both of them were away doing their respective tasks.

After all, Illumina was in the Verdant Vale Lower Realm while Myria went together with Evelynn in order to guard her from soul attacks.

The Ghostly Crow Realm Master managed to flick out his head out of the ground as his long purple hair flailed back. His face was full of blood and dirt. He gasped for air and coughed out blood, yet he dared not move or resist, looking at the Divine Emperor of Death with fear rampant in his eyes.

His dignity was already shattered beyond repair.

Watching this, Davis felt satisfied but also disappointed.

He didn't expect the Ghostly Crow Realm Master to give in so soon.

He couldn't help but glance at Mingzhi, thinking she had already given the Ghostly Crow Realm Master a taste of helplessness.

Mingzhi yawned, tilting her head, "Is that really all a mighty Realm Master can handle? This is barely entertaining."

Davis cracked his knuckles and walked forward, crouching beside the broken man. He extended his fingers and stretched into the left eye socket of the Ghostly Crow Realm Master. The left eye bulged, and the eye was ripped apart.

"Ahhhuck!"

The Ghostly Crow Realm Master screamed in pain but quickly suppressed it as he held his left eye and lowered his head. Blood dripped down the web of his hands, staining the dirt.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

Davis lifted the Ghostly Crow Realm Master's chin up and extended his fingers again.

This time, the right eye was ripped apart, causing the Ghostly Crow Realm Master to falter and land on his back as he re-treated by crouching. Having lost his eyesight, he didn't even dare use his soul sense, knowing that it would be targeted next.

He crawled away, bawling his eyes out as copious amounts of blood dripped from his empty sockets.

Davis held the eyeballs before making them fly around his fingers. He knew these eyes were responsible for targeting Myria from a vast distance, so he hated these pair of eyes with a passion.

"Remember this moment," Davis stood up, his sapphire eyes gleaming with an eerie light, "The moment you realized that your so-called pride and righteousness mean nothing in front of true power. Don't go poking your beak where it doesn't belong. Let this humiliation sink into your bones so you can remember to tread lightly around me."

Then, with one last flick, he sent the Ghostly Crow Realm Master rolling across the ground like a discarded corpse.

Mingzhi clapped her hands as she sent a soul transmission, "That was a nice performance. Should we make him bark next?"

Davis chuckled, "Nah, I like how he quickly folded because his family was at stake. He is a hypocritical bastard but even the Heavenly Blight Hall couldn't find any misdemeanor on him, which means he is a good person at heart. Can't be too ruthless since he's planning on dying for them. Instead, I'll test his family to come for him and see if his wives can reciprocate the same energy. If they don't, he is sure to despair, which is what I actually want to see."

"What if they come?" Mingzhi raised her brows.

"Then they can take him away- a cripple."

"Alright."

Mingzhi nodded.

Instilling fear into the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm was her idea so that they could later grab the Realm Core from them without having to put much of a fight. Since she possessed all three of their Legacy Artifacts, all sorts of powers would eye them like a hawk locking onto its prey.

It would surely be disastrous if they didn't do something about it.

In any case, she didn't have time to be torturing him. If she had free time, she wanted to spend it on Tianyu, so she returned home, leaving the Ghostly Crow Realm Master with the demon king who continued torturing him, breaking his bones and flaying his skin even as he begged for him to stop.

This was naturally seen by the hidden crowd. One moment, they saw him flirting with his wife, and in another, he became a devil and made the Ghostly Crow Realm Master beg for his life.

The news spread like wildfire.

The Ghostly Crow Realm Master was captured and tortured by the Divine Emperor of Death. However, it wasn't the first news that they received as the first news was naturally the defeat of the nine Venerable Knights.

Learning about this news, the hearts of all the Realm Masters of both Minor Realms and Lower Realms shook.

Were their realms even safe?

They started thinking if the Divine Emperor of Death would come for them. They began requesting reinforcements from their Upper Realm counterparts, seeking help and wanting to have Peak Empyreans and Peak Autarchs with them in order to hamper the Divine Emperor of Death's movements.

He was just too powerful, especially with that apocalyptic flames spirit which seemed to be capable of severing their connection with the Realm Core.

It was completely terrifying for them to entertain this kind of thought, much less an entity.

But with the Venerable Knights defeated, they knew they could do nothing other than wait for far more powerful people to descend and take down the Divine Emperor of Death but do such people even exist?

They didn't know and wouldn't know until someone fights the Divine Emperor of Death again.

However, it seems like even the supreme geniuses who wanted to challenge and vanquish him no longer had the courage to do so!
