Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4411: Two Months Ago

Chapter 4411: Two Months Ago

In an inconspicuous ravine shrouded by drifting mists, two figures stood facing each other beneath the shadow of an ancient tree.

One was clad in a tattered black robe that whispered with malevolence, as though the very fabric carried countless runes of curses. He wore a mask wrought in the shape of a hydra. It concealed his face, snarling in frozen menace. His white hair, long and loosely tied, spilled over his shoulders like threads of winter.

Dark, malevolent energy coiled around him, hissing softly with every breath he took. He exuded the aura of an Exalt.

Opposite him stood a man in flowing white robes trimmed with gold.

His hair shimmered with multicolored hues- red, blue, green, and gold, each strand catching the ambient light like liquid crystal. Though he exuded no obvious pressure, the air around him was unnaturally still, as if the world itself respected his balance. His gaze was steady, like a mountain unshaken by storms. He exuded the aura of a Primarch.

"Where is Wicked Tamer?" The white-robed man asked.

"He's busy, apparently. However, he did send a gift to make our plan go easier…"

The black-robed man chuckled and took out a vial.

It instantly exuded a tremendous aura, but compared to the two of them, it was nothing.

"Oh? Blood Essence of an Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix? Wicked Tamer sure has some wonderful essences that I would like to have…"

"Haha." The black-robed man laughed, "I'm sure you two can work together to create many ultimate forms of artwork. Regardless, use my blood on this phoenix blood, Vile Enchanter."

He took the tip of his index finger with his thumb's nail and brought out a minute drop of blood essence. He then diluted it further and put it into a vial, handing it over.

"Are you sure you want to give something so precious to me, Accursed Warlock?"

Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley smiled eerily, "Are you not afraid that I'll enchant it with something else?"

"Go ahead and do it. I would like to see which of our Laws end up winning. That's also amusing, but I would prefer to kill that retard who took my Myria. I was so close… so close… just a bit away from obtaining the Eternal Life Soul of Despair and Loneliness… ahh…"

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion trembled, sounding incensed, "He gave her so much hope that it now ruined my plans! Nonetheless, the more hope she has, the more it is to destroy it and bring her despair. Now all I have to do is kill that phony death immortal, and I could reap what I want!"

"…"

Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley wryly smiled, "Leave his lower body to me, though. I could use his yang essence."

"I don't care about his corpse. Do as you wish."

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion waved his hand, sending the vials to Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley.

"Enchant it and my Will will awaken, momentarily gaining control of the host when the time is right. This way, we won't be harmed by the karmic attack left behind on us in the Third Layer by the damned Supreme One. My Will from a pinch of Malediction will fade on its own, and the karmic attack will have nothing to target."

"Even as Primarchs, do we have to avoid him at all costs?" Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley frowned.

He took the two blood essences out and enchanted one to the other.

"Feel free to face him in battle and die. I couldn't care less." Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion scoffed.

He turned to look away as though he was afraid of the Supreme One.

Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley shrugged, "I couldn't care less either as long as I can get to do my experiments even in death. Unfortunately, I need to be alive."

The other party went silent, and he finished enchanting the Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix Blood within a few seconds. Once he was done, he looked at the blood essence adoringly as though it was his own creation.

"Lovely~ If one or two eons were to pass, this blood essence might mutate to birth an evil phoenix lifeform under the right conditions. Can I take this back?"

"No."

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion simply said, causing Vile Enchanter's expression to wilt.

"Honestly, I don't want to fight you, so I'll listen."

The two of them went silent.

Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley walked away, simply admiring the ancient tree and being one with nature.

After a few hours had passed, the ancient tree had a face etched onto it. It was crying, shedding tears of blood that coated the ground and caused all the flowers to wilt.

"Please… kill… me…" It pleaded, feeling so much pain.

It wanted to die.

It had been glad that its spirit was brought out from an infantile stage, but it had been enchanted with something strange that caused it to become like this. It had never experienced such pain and became a spirit twisted with untold horrors, seeking to devour everything.

"Can you shut it up? It's so annoying."

"Just wait for a-"

*Bang!~*

The ancient tree broke in half along with the spirit when Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion waved his hand. It caused Vile Enchanter to be saddened.

"Ah… another experiment that ended in failure because someone disturbed, sigh… this is why I prefer to be alone…"

Just as Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley was wallowing in sadness, a gust of wind shifted the misty clouds.

Descending from the skies in silence, another person appeared.

Two seven-colored wings unfurled with a dazzling radiance, revealing a crimson-robed man who had multicolored hair similar to his own wings. He landed on the ground before them, eliciting a wave of phoenix flames that burst like a tidal wave in all directions before fading away.

Amidst the burning heat, his eyes were like twin suns filled with brilliance and a powerful gaze.

He was actually a King-Tier Seven-Colored Phoenix.

"You two villains dare call me to this place? Depending on your answer, the entire might of the Phoenix clans will be upon you."

"Now, now, don't be so hasty, Kerez Zenflame."

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion chuckled, "Your entire Zenflame lineage has been insulted and brought down by the Divine Emperor of Death. Even in your home, I'm sure you're enduring insults and other difficulties. Besides, your father and son have also been tortured and murdered in cold blood by the Divine Emperor of Death. Don't you want to take revenge?"

"…" Kerez Zenflame's expression was still cold, but his brows twitched.

Accursed Warlock continued.

"You know you wouldn't be here if you didn't want to take revenge, and I have just the right amount of spice to help you regain your standing because you can defeat the Auraflame Clan that has been barring your path."

He waved his hand and brought out the Emperor-Tier Fire Phoenix Blood Essence that had been enchanted.

"What is this?" Kerez Zenflame asked in a somber voice.

"Just an explosive that will make the Divine Emperor of Death wish he hadn't ever been born. I heard that he has invited many Realm Masters for his marriage with another bitch. Regardless, aren't there also disciples participating in it? There would surely be a battle exchange. Just tracelessly and secretly give it to an Auraflame Clan descendant who is 'worthy'. The rest of it, you understand, don't you?"

Kerez Zenflame stared at the two villains, not saying a word.

He could tell this would make the Divine Emperor of Death mad and massacre the Auraflame Clan, which was advantageous to his Zenflame Clan. It would also make all the Phoenix Clans hostile to the Divine Emperor of Death.

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion put his hands down, sighing, "I wouldn't be asking if we weren't blocked from entering the Third Layer."

"Besides, you cannot escape the Divine Emperor of Death. Might as well as join hands with us and make sure he dies a gruesome death or at least, make him insane enough to just come to your doorstep while he's still weak so you can just crush him under your foot like he's an ant."

"You two think you can use me?" Kerez Zenflame scoffed.

"Oh no- just send him to me. I want to kill him more than you do, but I couldn't care less about the process. I want the result."

Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion's gaze flashed with a malevolent light.

Kerez Zenflame stared at him for a few moments before he said, looking away, "This is not enough."

"Haha!" Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion burst laughing, "I knew you were a smart person to have brought the Zenflame Clan this far by yourself. Don't worry, I have hired an assassin from the World's End Hall. They would be sure to send out one of their most terrifying Autarch Stage assassin who will do the job well and inflict more chaos upon his family. Hmm… let's see… as for the target, I prefer it to be his mother since I couldn't get his father last time but any one of his wives would do too as long it makes him cry and weep like a fucking loser."
