Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4770 Jun Meyers

Chapter 4770  Jun Meyers

"Meyers Family?" Azariel blinked, "No offense, but never heard of them."

Lucian clicked his tongue, narrowing his eyes at both of them, "I told you two not to bring our powers into this conversation."

"My bad. I'm not good at talking. Besides, it's fine. My entire family was wiped out while I was forced to escape here."

"…"

Azariel, Lucian, and Viridia went stunned.

The Shadow Sovereign Devil King lightly smiled and then turned to look at the server who came with the aromatic dishes. Licking his lips, he reached out to the piece of fish meat that looked as though it would practically melt in his mouth.

Gulping heavily, he quickly threw into his mouth despite the heat and closed his eyes, savoring amidst the dumbfounded gazes of the cultivators around.

He nodded satisfactorily and echoed, "That's why I also have no backing. I have no backing."

He even said it two times, as though afraid many people wouldn't hear it.

Azariel turned speechless, remembering the fate of his own family. He then leaned back and laughed lightly, thinking he had met a fellow degenerate who wanted people to come after them so that he could kill and loot them back.

On the other hand, Viridia gazed at him in a renewed light.

Any cultivator would run upon hearing that she was a poison cultivator when standing in front of her, much less seated in front of her with food placed between them. She could easily poison it without even being noticed. However, this man didn't seem afraid at all, greatly garnering her interest.

At this moment, a faint luster of mist filled the grand hall.

Everyone's eyes momentarily turned cloudy and dazed except Azariel, Viridia, and Lucian. Their brows narrowed before they instantly stood up and cupped their hands.

"Mother Myria~" They echoed in respect to this goddess who walked the line between life and death like their father.

Myria gave a nod and then turned to look at the Shadow Sovereign Devil King with a mild amount of interest.

"Not bad. His prowess is actually twelve levels higher, a true supreme genius. To make a friend like that, you three are fortunate."

"No, he's not a friend since we just met." Lucian hurriedly explained and then added, "But he could be one."

"I see." Myria nodded lightly, "Then remain beware of him. I don't sense any malice from him, but his killing intent is thick, so he must've killed a lot of people in cold blood. In any case, Azariel and Viridia, send your avatars with Nadia's doppelgangers to investigate a few places of retreat for our family. It is important, so I came personally to tell you."

"Yes, mother~" Viridia and Azariel responded solemnly.

Myria gave a nod and then looked as though she wanted to say something, but ultimately didn't.

"Take care." With two words, she left the scene as she disappeared, and the mist faded.

Abruptly, the Shadow Sovereign Devil King shot up and looked around with shock with a hand on his halberd, "Who?"

His outburst shocked the crowd, but Azariel and the others were quite intrigued.

Had he actually managed to sense Mother Myria's illusion technique before it completely faded away?

"Don't fret. It was our mother." Azariel waved his hand and sat back, wanting to finish his meal first before setting off to find Mother Nadia.

"Mother…?" Jun Meyers looked confused as he stared at Azariel, wondering if he was joking.

But as he saw Lucian and Viridia cast amused glances at him, he knew it couldn't be far from the truth.

"Your mother is also here? Which family are you from?" He finally asked the question that didn't interest him first.

"Davis Family." Azariel responded perfunctorily as he threw the final piece of mutton into his mouth.

"Davis Family…" Jun Meyers frowned, "My apologies. I have never heard of the name before."

"…" Azariel stopped munching momentarily and cast a stupefied glance at him, and so did everyone else in the restaurant.

The pin drop silence made Jun Meyers feel like he was from the backwaters, but his face didn't redden or change, only looking puzzled. However, the others continued to cast him strange glances, refusing to explain.

Azariel chortled, nearly spitting out the meat, but he swallowed and pointed.

"Lucian, if he didn't tell me that he was from the Meyers Family, I would've thought he had popped out from nowhere like the birth of a wild spirit…!"

Lucian could only cast a wry smile at Jun Meyers, "Fellow cultivator, you have much to brush up on. If you don't know who our family is, then I recommend learning about it since we're designated as the most evil family in all the human realms."

Jun Meyers's eyes went wide, "You're from the Hexadra Family?"

Lucian's expression darkened, "Fellow cultivator, we're enemies with the Hexadra Family."

"My apologies. I truly don't know." Jun Meyers's face softened, but even with that, he still looked villainous.

He sat down, "Forget it. I've never been good at talking."

Lucian's expression turned less stern, "No matter. Since we met and had a reasonable conversation, we should celebrate our friendship. Let us share a drink."

"Of course." Jun Meyers responded positively.

At this moment, Viridia hurriedly took a cup and poured wine into it. She then presented it to him in a heartbeat.

Jun Meyers gazed at Viridia's purple-golden eyes. Unlike her brother's blonde hair, she possessed purple-green hair, which was like a lush forest painted in poison. Wordlessly, his hands moved as he took the cup from her hands and brought it to his mouth, drinking it in one fell swoop.

"To our friendship…" He said, his voice cold and awkward.

He then did the same for Azariel and Lucian, even sharing that he had some heads of the Hexadra Clan disciples with him.

Azariel looked overjoyed, "Haha, we're truly fated to meet. Our Davis Family has thrown a huge bounty on their heads. Lucian, bring him to exchange those heads for crystals."

"Alright, big brother." Lucian nodded, clearly appearing satisfied.

Azariel and Viridia left the scene after bidding farewell.

When they neared the fortress, Azariel's expression turned dubious, "He actually accepted a drink from us, poison cultivators. Is he foolish or fearless?"

"Perhaps highly resistant or even immune to poison." Viridia responded in a faint tone.

Azariel turned to look at her, his lips curling, "Are you hoping that it isn't both?"

Viridia didn't respond immediately, but her cheeks reddened ever so lightly.

"Foolish brother. Although it seems unlikely, he could be possessed by those three villains. I will never let my guard down."

She reached out her hand and pinched Azariel's arm, causing him to laugh.

Eterna and Celestia also appeared by their side shortly, telling them that the merchant town was going to be dismantled soon, causing them to sigh.

They found Nadia and explained the situation from their side.

Together, they sent out their avatars to find and investigate the locations on the map. They knew it was time soon, time to find the perfect place to settle down, or there would be numerous complications to their growth, and possibly result in destruction.

Inside the fortress, Tia heard about this man called Jun Meyers and mumbled lightly with some confusion, "A person of great destiny?"
