Dual Cultivation God Returns

Yu Huan sat down with a light sigh and a subtle, but happy smile on her face, in a quiet, secluded garden, hidden within the smaller inner courtyard which could be accessed through the room they were celebrating in.

The silver light of the moon was illuminating her silhouette, and enveloping her in its soft and gentle glow.

The music of the Zither and muted laughter could still be heard from the larger courtyard garden facing the other side of the banquet room, the doors to which were open.

“For the star of the evening to disappear in the middle of the banquet…”, Wu Long chuckled, stepping into the moonlight from the shadow.

After a short moment of mild surprise, since she felt his presence a bit before he actually appeared, the beauty shyly smiled, a hint of guilt appearing in her eyes about sneaking out, “It’s not that I’m not happy-…”

“I know”, he didn’t wait for her to finish, speaking with a gentle smile that told her he understood, and that it was okay.

While she enjoyed her time with her Dao Sisters, it was hard for her to be the center of attention and the target of such concentrated praise, which was rightfully showered onto her. She also intended to rejoin everyone after taking a moment of rest here.

“…though I intend to have Bi Rui answer for helping your ‘Great Escape’ a bit later”, he added with a light laugh, causing her to let out a chuckle with a light rosiness appearing on her cheeks, knowing exactly what he meant, and that her friend would enjoy it.

“…”, she opened her mouth to say something akin to ‘go easy on her’, but caught herself on the thought that Bi Rui would probably want the opposite, causing her to make a wry smile since she couldn’t really say ‘go hard on her’ either, as she inwardly laughed, ‘That would simply sound weird, hahaha…’

Wu Long sat down next to her, and she leaned onto him from the side, a comfortable and warm silence once again descended on the garden, allowing them to hear the music and voices of the beauties a bit more clearly again.

But after a while, Yu Huan reluctantly spoke up, “We should go back…”

“How about we stay for a bit longer?”, Wu Long held her hand to stop her, and her heart skipped a beat as she turned and looked into his eyes.

She stood without moving, looking straight into his eyes, as if bewitched, and a blush returned to her cheeks, this time more pronounced.

He gently tugged on her hand and led her to sit on his lap, both of them enjoying each other’s warmth contrasting the slightly cool air of the chilly early summer evening. Her hands, with thin and delicate fingers were a bit cold, but he warmed them up, by taking both of them with his hands, blowing warm breath onto them and adding a kiss on the fingers.

She smiled, her heart fluttering with warmth and joy.

Looking into her eyes, he couldn’t hold back from kissing her, after which Yu Huan leaned onto his chest, closing her eyes, feeling his arms wrap around her.

After a while, she spoke again with reluctance, “We really should head back”

“We can have our own little celebration, just the two of us”, Wu Long whispered into her ear, and she nodded.

But then, she seemed to soundlessly gasp as she opened her eyes, straightened her posture again to look into his eyes, and spoke with an uncertain and indecisive tone, “But everyone… and the banquet…”

However, despite the genuine intent, her words were not convincing at all. Even though her worry about hurting or offending others by truly disappearing for the rest of the evening was sincere, the look in her eyes betrayed her wish to agree with him, to stay with him even if a bit longer.

“They know”, he smiled, the look in his eyes telling her that it was the truth – no one expected her to show up back at the celebration ever since he joined her. She knew it was the truth because she also knew when it happened with others.

Her blush intensified further as she thought about the smiles her Dao Sisters probably made, her ears suddenly becoming much more sensitive to the sound of tinkering laughter from the other courtyard, as thoughts of what was probably said there filled her head.

But the next moment, all of her thoughts were thrown out of her mind as their lips met in a new kiss.

Wu Long raised his right hand to gently caress her cheek, and as the kiss ended, swiped his thumb on her lower lip while looking into her opening eyes, lit up by the moonlight, adding with a smile, in a whispering voice “My sweet and lovely Huan’er has been so busy lately, all because of me”

She slightly widened her eyes with surprise, and then smiled, “That’s a good kind of busy…that way I can…”

Yu Huan didn’t finish but he knew what she wanted to say – ‘that way I can be helpful’

Wu Long shook his head with a smile, “I am grateful for what you do, and it is of tremendous value. I also believe you are brilliant, and that there is a great meaning in your work. And I would be the first to tell you how much I personally, and everyone not only in the Dao Family but in the entire Valley is benefiting from it. It is also inseparable from who you are as a person. But that is not the core essence of who you are to me, Huan’er. You just still don’t know – how wonderful life is because you simply are in it”

Her eyes widened a bit, as she looked into his. She could see a sincere gaze, one that genuinely believed the words he was saying, and felt slightly tight in her chest, as well as a bit out of breath.

Another kiss, gentle, soft and full of emotions, and his low whisper from very close up, when it ended, “But don’t worry, I will slowly and thoroughly explain, no matter how long it will take, until you understand… I’ll start with teaching every inch of your body just how precious you are…”

A shiver of excitement run up her spine as she heard the tone in which he whispered, and felt his lips gently touch her neck, as her head leaned back, as if giving him more freedom to do whatever he wanted.

He didn’t waste any more time, and wrapping his hands around her a bit tighter, whisked her away to give her a wonderful night full of passion and love.1
