No one could verify the rumors of Sky Zenith’s overlord being from Ancient.

“Don’t be so nervous, I’m not an unreasonable person who would destroy your world over nothing.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I apologize for my foolishness.” He smiled awkwardly after having his anxiety exposed. At the very least, Li Qiye wasn’t an impulsive and merciless immortal.

“Not bad at all, putting aside personal honor for the greater good.” Li Qiye praised.

“I am merely trying my best for my home.” He smiled.

“Yes, but how many remember to do so?” Li Qiye was moved and nodded: “You may continue with your plan.”

“I have a question, what kind of divine beasts are considered true divine beasts?” He asked.

“You aren’t a beastmaster, still interested in this matter?” Li Qiye asked.

“I just want to know the differences.” He said.

“You wish to know the ceiling of beast mastery.” Li Qiye smiled.

This was indeed his intent. Although he wasn’t a beastmaster, this group was the majority in his world. The ceiling of this dao must be taming the divine beasts, but there were only a few in his world.

The lack of beast was a major concern. Would this prevent any cultivation improvements?

“You explain.” Li Qiye told Xiaoyue.

“Beasts outside of Divine Firmaments are not qualified to be considered divine.” She gave it a clear definition.

“Then what do we call those?” He smiled wryly. The legendary divine beasts in their world weren’t recognized.

“Demon beasts.” She said.

“Demon beasts.” He didn’t know what to say since everyone’s goal was to tame a divine beast eventually. It turned out they didn’t have any.

This was akin to trying to catch a phoenix, but only wild fowl were available.

“Don’t be so extreme.” Li Qiye said: “Your so-called divine beasts’ bloodlines aren’t pure enough, perhaps only a sliver of the original bloodline, but it’s there.”

“Then they are descendants of the original ones.” He preferred this definition.

“Divine beasts don’t have descendants outside. It’s hard for them to breed and when they do, offspring are born in Divine Firmament with the purest bloodlines.” Xiaoyue said.

“Where did our divine beasts, or rather, the beasts with divine bloodline, come from? Are they Divine Beast Qing Ji’s descendants?” He asked.

“Don’t speak nonsense.” She glared at him.

“It’s alright.” Li Qiye waved his hand: “I can see why you would think that but it is not possible. Divine beasts can breed with other races but the offspring will not have the original bloodline. Moreover, they already have a hard time breeding with themselves, let alone another race.”

“Any divine bloodline outside of Divine Firmament is tainted.” Xiaoyue remarked.

“Where did they come from?” He couldn’t help but ask.

“It’s a good question without an answer.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“I see.” He still had another question: “Immortal, can the beastmaster dao tame true divine beasts?”

“Ridiculous!” Xiaoyue’s eyes narrowed. The resulting power sent Phoenix Emperor to the ground.

“Don’t get angry over a trivial comment.” Li Qiye smiled and waved, dispelling her power.

This frightened Phoenix Emperor, who didn’t expect his nonchalant comment to offend Xiaoyue.

“Beast mastery isn’t enslavement, it is a pact between men and beasts, joining them together to the same side. They will enjoy honor and suffer disgrace together. When your heart is ready, your beast mastery will reach the highest level. Furthermore, there will be no difference between controlling a beast and controlling the dao, you won’t need a divine beast. If there is one, it might agree to form a pact with you.” Li Qiye elaborated.
