“Devouring Abyss.” Goldsilver Tree’s expression froze momentarily.

“That’s right, don’t doom your race over a shrine.” Primal Eagle said.

“It wouldn’t be our first time being exterminated, and Devouring Abyss isn’t the only one in Stygian hoping for our demise.” The tree said.

Devouring Alliance had tried to destroy Golden Lamp countless times. Currently, the abyss was still second to Gu Chun’s Dark Realm. Too many threats already existed.

“Our forefathers didn’t yield to Mang, so we won’t be yielding today.” The tree said.

“Then your information is outdated. The abyss isn’t the same as before.” The eagle said.

“Nonsense.” The tree said.

“Haha, a great immortal has returned, no one will expect this.” The eagle said.

“Which immortal?” The tree didn’t expect this response.

“You don’t need to know, but Stygian will be united again.” The eagle uttered coldly.

Everyone knew Immortal Devourer was the strongest in Devouring Abyss – a golden immortal just missing a legacy to reach the next realm. He was the reason why his faction ranked above Fallen Ten.

Now, this returning immortal should be even above Immortal Devourer. Otherwise, the being would not be able to unite Stygian. Immortal Devourer didn’t have this ability since he was weaker than Immortal Emperor Gu Chun.

Were there more primordial immortals in the alliance outside of the immortal emperor? At the very least, not to Goldsilver’s knowledge.

“It’s always doomsday for us, this doesn’t change anything.” The tree said.

“You’re too optimistic then. Since we were friends once, don’t be devoured needlessly.” The eagle said.

“Devoured?” The tree found this strange: “Possible under Gu Chun’s rule?”

Gu Chun’s rule dictated that only overlords and above could devour. Moreover, the targets have to possess either similar or higher cultivation. Therefore, Primal Eagle could devour Goldsilver Tree but not anyone else in Golden Lamp.

“Haha, that will be a part of the past soon enough.” The eagle uttered coldly: “The only way you all will get to see the future is to hand the shrine over.”

“Our answer remains the same.” The tree said. Despite acting cool, he knew something big was going to happen.

It appeared Devouring Abyss was going to break Gu Chun’s rule. Was the returning immortal strong enough to oppose Immortal Emperor Gu Chun?

“Then die.” The eagle lost patience since he hated this place.

“Screech!” He gathered all of his snow-white feathers and turned them into a blade. Once swung, space turned into chaos.

“Bring it!” The tree transformed his leaves into a shield. Alas, the impact still caused devastating damage to Golden Lamp.

“Rumble!” The eagle swung his blade repeatedly, not showing any mercy.

“Bam!” The shield eventually shattered.

“Now you die!” He thought the next slash would cut Golden Lamp into two halves.

“Get down!” Suddenly, he heard someone from behind.

The tree’s massive form still towered over Golden Lamp. However, a humanoid form looking like an old man had split away from the original body and appeared above Frenzy City.

This was a reckless act because once far removed from Golden Lamp, he would no longer be protected by the dao heart. Nevertheless, the distance was close enough for him to still be blessed with a golden ring.
