Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 820: Timeless God Stone Records

Chapter 820: Timeless God Stone Records

Nicholas and Patricia weren’t the only ones who were enlightened by the ’spark.’

In his private seclusion area, Cedric’s real body could be found sitting comfortably on the floor. One leg was parallel to the floor, while the other was raised and folded up with his arm resting on his knee.

He wore a dazed expression, absentmindedly taking swigs of delicious tea. His golden eyes emitted a soft glow, illuminating the rather dark room he’s in. Yet despite this, his gaze was blank. It’s like he couldn’t see anything around him, his focus being somewhere else.

And this isn’t wrong. Cedric wasn’t looking at the room he’s in. There was nothing to see here anyway.

Instead, he’s staring right at the very structure of concept laws unabashedly and shamelessly. He wasn’t doing anything big, just observing.

He’s taking note of everything that he sees. Most of it eluded his understanding, but it didn’t matter; he remembered them all anyway.

Cedric has been doing this for a while, and just recently, he too received the same enlightenment that Nick and Pat had.

He learned that the Heavenly Laws were, in truth, just a mere qualification to truly understand Origin Laws. Everything that he knew so far? They’re just pieces of a much bigger puzzle that makes up the Primitive Universe.

Cedric wasn’t really surprised…well, a little bit at the start, but that faded real quick.

He had been suspicious of it, you see. Ever since he received the ultimate reward from the Ascension Tower.

Cedric felt that, for something so rare and sought out desperately, it was all too easy. If the Heavenly Laws were really all that, then they shouldn’t be given as a reward just like that.

Because of that, he had his own suspicions already. But he wisely kept it to himself.

And now, that suspicion was proven to be correct. Now it made sense why there’s a mysterious artifact out there that could instantly allow someone to understand the Heavenly Laws no matter how shallow or deep their foundations were.

It’s because all it provided was just one of the puzzle pieces that’s needed for the true thing—the Origin Laws.

With this understanding, all of a sudden, everything became different for Cedric.

The way he looked at the structure of laws through his eyes changed significantly. Now, more things were starting to make sense.

Nobody could’ve thought that a late-stage Universe Master like him could completely master the Heavenly Law of Space—or, as properly termed, one essence of space. This was something that the majority of Heavenly Venerates can’t even do.

And it’s not just this; his Fire and Sword Laws are also catching up fast.

With his new understanding of the concept of law structure, his comprehension of laws sped up too. Even the other concept laws that he’s not paying too much attention to are being raised at blistering speeds.

And this wasn’t even difficult for him. Cedric just needed to stare and analyze the structure of concept laws, and the ideas will continue to flow to him. He remembers and compiles everything accordingly, and once he has enough understanding, his knowledge will ultimately crystallize and transform into a skill he could instantly use.

His eyes were such an overpowered cheating machine that it’s unfair, and he loved it.

Now, he doesn’t even have to try hard at all. He just needed to wait until his body was ready, and he’d make progress naturally. As he waits for that, he could continue enriching his understanding of concept laws at the pace he wants.

And don’t forget, this wasn’t just limited to his original body. By extension, his clones were benefitting from this too.

Although his clones mostly do his mundane tasks, they will keep getting stronger as the main body progresses. The connection between them was just that good and magical.

**

At some point during his seclusion, Cedric stood up.

No, he doesn’t plan on stepping out or ending his seclusion. He’s too deeply immersed in the sea of laws, and he’s not yet satisfied. No, he hasn’t completely lost himself in it, either. He’s too lucid to be in that state.

What he wanted to do was to write down the things he knew so far.

And no, he’s not planning on using pens and papers to do that. Those things could never truly express the real profundity of his knowledge. They might not even survive a single stroke he does.

Cedric took out a large and archaic-looking stone from his inner world. This was a ’Timeless God Stone.’

Timeless God Stones are rare minerals that were rumored to have existed even before the formation of chaos realms. It’s even said that it’s the collision of these stones that caused the birth of the five known chaos realms.

Cedric wasn’t really interested in its history or origins. All he cared about was the fact that this stone was nigh indestructible. Timeless God Stones were notorious for their toughness and their difficulty to be crafted into something else.

That’s why, despite its incredible toughness, it’s quite cheap, especially if the rumors surrounding its origins were to be true.

But again, Cedric doesn’t care about that.

To him, Timeless God Stones will do just fine to serve as pages for his notes.

Cedric stood before a large obelisk-shaped Timeless God Stone. He took a deep breath and then pointed his index finger at it.

Fwoosh!

Space warped around him, forming into a single thread that landed at the very center of the obelisk.

A small dot appeared on its surface after that strike.

Cedric stared at it for a while and nodded in satisfaction.

If anybody were to see this, they’d probably be puzzled. What was that? A dot? That’s it? What’s he so satisfied about?

But if one were to look closely at the dot he left on the surface of the obelisk, they’d see something surprising.

That dot contains an extremely rich essence of space. Those who are ignorant of space laws will see visions as they stare at this.

This seemingly innocuous dot was, in truth, a representation of how space was born. It starts with a single dot, then two, three…and so on, until all of the dots form a line. The lines then expand, widen, and multiply, and eventually, they will contain everything and everyone.

That’s space. And this dot represents its origins.

This was just the entry level of what Cedric knew so far. The crystallization of his comprehension about space laws.

Surprisingly, though, after leaving this dot on the obelisk, the space elements began humming giddily around it, enriching the aura and the concentration of the element within the room.

This caused Cedric to raise a brow because he certainly wasn’t expecting this. More importantly, the increase in space elements was rather alarming because it’s fast.

A day later, all manner of spatial phenomena began manifesting around the obelisk, much to Cedric’s amusement. And through his eyes, he could see that his seclusion room was practically filled with incredibly rich and dense space elements.

Even those who were ignorant about space will find it easy to understand them in this room; that’s the impression it left him.

And because the obelisk was pure Timeless God Stone, it’s completely unaffected by everything that’s happening around it. All spatial anomalies that are occurring and hitting it didn’t even leave any additional mark on its surface. Only the dot that Cedric struck to it was able to remain.

’Well, what a pleasant surprise.’ Cedric’s eyes lit up because this gave him so many ideas.

And the absurd part? This was just the start. That dot was just the 1st out of the minimum 60 essences he must comprehend to truly discover or gain the recognition of Origin Space Laws.

Once he retrieved the obelisk into his Inner World, all the spatial manifestations disappeared, scattered by an invisible wind as if they were never there.

Cedric took out another large piece of Timeless God Stone. This time, he left a scorch mark on it—which represents the start or spark of Fire Laws.

And again, the same thing happened. Manifestations of fire and flames began appearing around the timeless god stone, and fire energy began flooding the room.

The same thing happened when he left a sword scar on another timeless god stone.

Yes, both of his Fire and Sword Laws have caught up to his mastery over Space Laws. Meaning that he had successfully comprehended at least some of the many essences needed for Origin Fire and Origin Sword Laws.

He left all three stones in his Inner World for now, and he sat back down, satisfied.

Cedric wasn’t planning on doing anything else with these stones other than keeping them as pages of his progress so far. Maybe that’ll change in the distant future, but definitely not now or soon.

With this done, he went back to staring at the structure of laws. Mainly focusing on catching glimpses of space, fire, and sword essences.

Now that he has a path forward, he will pursue it to the end. He’s determined to gain an edge over everybody else.
