Chapter 2878: Numbed Bladedance

Chapter 2878: Numbed Bladedance

It took Bladedance a long few seconds to take in what Alex had said. Her eyes widened immediately, and she grabbed onto Alex’s shoulders.

“What did you say?”

“I have the World Tree,” Alex repeated himself. “Which is why I couldn’t go with that senior. If we were together, I would be in danger of getting caught.”

Bladedance couldn’t imagine how that was possible. “How long have you had it?” she asked.

“For a long time now,” Alex said. “I found it in a storage ring that the senior dropped when entering our world. By the time I found him, the World Tree’s seed was in my Soul Space.”

“I see,” Bladedance said. “If everyone is trying to use that seed as a cause to start a war, then you very much cannot let it fall into the wrong hands. But… they still threw you to Hell, knowing what you had?”

“They didn’t know,” Alex said. “I never told them, and they never searched. They probably thought I, a mere Immortal, wouldn’t have anything worth their time, so the Storm God sealed my Soul Space and Spiritual sea and threw me here.”

“And you didn’t let them know?” Bladedance asked. “You could have used it to get away.”

“Maybe,” Alex said. “At that time, I didn’t have the mind to think about that. And besides, I had done all of this to keep it safe. I couldn’t let it out then. They would’ve taken it away and sent me here still.”

Bladedance couldn’t argue against that.

“Besides, I trust it with no one other than the Sky God herself. As far as I know, she is the only one who is most likely against this war.”

“The Sky God is a respectable woman,” Bladedance said. “But don’t trust in her virtues too much. She is out for herself as much as the other man. Although, she should be against war, so she would most likely help you.”

“I have no choice,” Alex said. “Either the senior has taken my family to her, or she is the only one who can help me search for them. Either way, I must go to her.”

“That’s fine,” Bladedance said. “Still, I cannot imagine her disciple being a worse candidate than you in taking the seed back to his master. There is danger, yes, but it cannot be so much danger that he forces a mere Immortal to find his way to the Sky God’s Palace.”

“Oh, was I not being clear, master? He couldn’t take back the seed, because it is no longer a seed,” Alex said. “The World Tree grows within me.”

“Grows? What do you mean?” Bladedance asked.

“The seed is not a seed anymore. It’s germinated. It’s growing in my Soul Space right now,” Alex said.

“I… don’t believe you,” she said. “How could it grow?”

“I could show you, but it wouldn’t work,” Alex said. “It devours all Divine sense that comes close to it. If you could enter my Soul Space, you could see.”

“Enter your Soul Space?” Bladedance was growing more and more confused. “Just what are you talking about?”

Alex nodded for a second and opened the seal to his Soul Space. “Look inside my Soul Space, Master. See what you can find.”

Bladedance looked at him weirdly before slowly sending her Divine sense into his Soul Space. She was met with an absence of almost everything, making her wonder just what she was supposed to be looking at.

She spread her Divine sense further into his Soul Space, and still she couldn’t find anything. The seed he said was there just wasn’t. She continued searching.

As she searched more and more, she quickly realized that no matter how much she spread her Divine sense, it met no end. At first, she was confused. Then, she was amazed.

And as it kept on going, she was horrified.

“How… how is this possible?” Bladedance asked. “Only the Sky God is supposed to have a Soul Space this large.”

“I do too,” Alex said. “I used a large Space Stone to expand it. I may be the only one who can do it.”

“How though?” she asked.

“I’m not exactly sure, but it has something to do with my ability to comprehend Space Dao,” Alex said.

Bladedance didn’t question it. She no longer found herself questioning anything.

Alex pushed back her Divine sense, closing the Soul Space again.

“I didn’t get to see the tree,” she said quickly.

“Like I said, master. You can’t see the tree. The tree devours anything that comes toward it. You can see it later when I’m done opening my Soul Space fully. I’ll let you enter.”

Bladedance nodded slowly. “But I didn’t sense the loss of my Divine sense. Your Soul Space was empty of almost everything.”

“Ah! The tree is inside a secret realm in my Soul Space. I needed some land for it to grow, so I had to get it,” Alex said.

Bladedance stared at him for a few seconds before slowly nodding. “I don’t think I understood what I was getting myself into taking you in as a disciple,” she said.

The amount of things he had revealed that ended up shocking her were piling up slowly. And at some point, the weight of those surprises just wasn’t enough.

The novelty of the surprises was beginning to wear off on her.

Bladedance let Alex rest by himself and took some time to rest herself as well. Then, after some time, she opened the Void again, letting Alex learn from it.

Alex spent nearly 2 full days with her help, learning about the Void as much as he could. Then, when he could no longer, the opening closed again.

Alex and Bladedance went back to resting again. After some time, they were more or less rested.

This time, however, Bladedance didn’t tear open the Void. Instead, she asked Alex to bring out his sword.

Alex did as she asked.

“You asked to learn about Sword Heart, didn’t you?” she asked. “Before I teach you that, I need to make sure you’ve fully learned Sword Domain to your best capacity.”
