Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2894: Not Again

Chapter 2894: Not Again

Alex reached Immortal Origin 7th realm.

After exactly 22 years since he had broken through the last time, he had done so once again. Just two more breakthroughs and he could enter the Immortal Transcendent realm.

During this time, he hadn’t had much else to do except learn as much about the Void as he could. And by now, he was sure he had done everything he could. It wasn’t long before it would be time for them to leave.

As such, it was time to be over and done with the one task that had been hanging over his head all this time.

Alex took Pearl and Whisker, and left for the center of Hell.

Along the way, they met many of the strong beasts that tried to kill them. The three fought back, along with a few blood beasts, which helped them kill almost all the beasts, despite their superior strength.

Alex stored their entire bodies away, the freedom to do so a boon he had so dearly missed the last time he fought through these beasts.

Their group managed to kill dozens of such beasts along the way. Then when they reached the wall, it was another large battle that they had to fight.

Alex hadn’t had the chance to properly train his sword in such a long time, so the swarm of beasts was a perfect opportunity to do exactly that. Having long since perfected his Sword Domain, it was his chance to improve toward forming his Sword Heart.

Alex and Pearl fought the most, with Whisker helping gather the sunhearts and beast core.

The result was a similar scene from when Death had fought there. The area was littered with hundreds of thousands of corpses, which Alex quickly took away. Then, he opened a hole in the spatial wall before him and entered.

Alex arrived at the tiny buffer zone with the dark sky. Whisker and Pearl were with him as they entered. Then, he opened the other hole and arrived at the inside world, with fog as far as his eyes could see.

Their cultivation bases were immediately suppressed, but Alex saw a scene through his eyes that could not be suppressed.

The inside world burned with pure blue and black color, filling everything beyond him. It was a sight to behold.

Whisker noticed something just then, realizing a fact that no one, not even him, had noticed until now. He was about to tell Alex when a soft figure appeared before them.

The Guardian Tiger was here.

“Senior!” Alex said, bowing as the tiger arrived in its usual cub form. Pearl and Whisker bowed as well.

“You finally came,” the tiger said. “We were worried you would leave without meeting us again.”

“I would never do that. I have much more to lose from not coming here,” Alex said.

The cub smiled. “It’s a good thing you succeeded in getting rid of your seal. You remind me more and more of Father.”

Alex raised his eyebrows slightly. Once again, the beast talked of the Sun God, but gave no other explanation beyond that.

“Come on then. Let us leave.”

The cub flew downward and Alex jumped down as well. He landed on a large leaf that had been prepared for him, and so did Pearl. As soon as they were there, the leaf began moving.

Pearl stared at the vast realm, hoping to catch a glance of the tree soon. While he was focused with those thoughts, Whisker was distracted by his current findings.

“Brother!” Whisker said in a slight panic. “What’s happening to your body?”

Alex turned toward the mouse on his shoulder. “What do you mean?” he asked.

“Your body… it’s… burning,” Whisker said, failing to come up with the right words. “It’s exuding so much heat. Has it always been doing that, or is it a recent thing?”

“I’m… what?”

Alex tried to sense what Whisker was talking about, but his senses were constrained by his surroundings. He couldn’t feel anything. Whisker couldn’t either, but he had his whiskers.

“It’s producing so much heat. It’s like you have a fever or something.”

“I shouldn’t have a fever,” Alex said, placing his palm to his forehead. “Why would I have—”

His words froze in his throat as he slowly realized a possible truth.

“Shit!” he said softly.

“Brother?” Whisker called out.

“I didn’t notice,” Alex said in a worried tone. “Hell is so full of Yang and heat that I failed to notice. Shit, it’s happening again. Not again.”

“What is, brother?” Pearl asked from the side.

“My body. My constitution improved, so now my body is burning once again. It’s like my time back in the Luminance Empire all over again,” Alex said with an annoyed tone.

“Can you do something about it?” Whisker asked.

Alex thought for a moment and nodded. “I should be able to,” he said. “I have the Yin bead. It’s been wanting to gather the Yin. I should go do that when I have the time. Hopefully, that’s all I really need to do.”

Having excessive yang aura pouring out of his body was truly quite an annoying thing. He remembered when it nearly ruined his chances at victory during one of the alchemy competitions in the Western Continent.

Pearl talked with the Guardian Tiger, first thanking him for the paw, and then asking some more questions about himself. He wanted to understand more about himself and what else he could do.

Alex and Whisker stayed away from the conversation, letting Pearl speak to the cub for as long as he wanted to.

They sailed for some time before darkness took over the land. And then, they arrived next to the roots that were massive enough to be cliff walls. Some more time later, they arrived at the beach from where they could see the tree in all its glory.

Both Pearl and Whisker stood frozen in awe at the sight before them. Even having been around the Nine Yang Divine Tree and the World Tree, the sight of the Tree of Life was a shock that did not come frequently.
