Chapter 3066 New Ascensions
Chapter 3066 New Ascensions
Steelmind left the Spirit Blossom realm with his disciple in tow. A few years later, they arrived at the Formation Monarch’s realm, and he stopped by the Formation Monarch’s palace for a while to see if there
was more news.
The news of the Godkiller had the man scared beyond belief, and he almost didn’t accept Steelmind’s visit. But in the end, he allowed him in, and they talked.
Steelmind had been away for long enough that he needed the talk to understand more about the war. From the sounds of it, things were progressively getting worse, with the demon army seemingly getting more manic with each battle.
“Something about us invading the Forest Moon realm has them ticked off,” the Formation Monarch said. “They say that we violated their sacred land and that we need to die because of it.”
“The World Tree is sacred to them,” Steelmind said with a curious thought.
“Makes sense. Who wouldn’t pray to a tree that gives you free Divine and Celestial Qi?” the Formation Monarch said. “I think they sent the Godkiller for that reason. He only showed up after we went to the Forest Moon realm.”
“Wasn’t he an Artifact Sage? I hear he arrived at the Three Jewel World first,” Steelmind said. “He was giving away free treasure. Are you sure it was the demons?”
“I don’t know,” the Formation God said. “But I don’t know what to think anymore. A man that can kill seven gods in a matter of days is not someone I dare to claim I know much about.”
Steelmind nodded, but he still didn’t believe the demons had any hand in this. If they did, the humans likely would’ve lost a long time ago.
Steelmind didn’t overstay his welcome and quickly teleported back to the Golden Dao realm, returning to his workshop. His workshop, now known simply as the Artifact God’s Workshop, had picked up more work in his absence.
After introducing Shen Yaojia as his disciple and goddaughter, he simply got into the work that had piled up while having Shen Yaojia help the others as well.
The break had been lovely, but it was time to get back to work.
Time passed, and Shen Yaojia became acclimated to the workshop. In a way, she had romanticized the work she would be doing before coming here and had been given a rude awakening. But with her training and talent, she quickly got used to it.
Her name quickly rose in the workshop and spread further outside as well.
Steelmind heard a few things during the many millennia he spent working in the workshop afterward. A particularly violent battle had taken place near the Eternal Isles, and the Ice God had met her end there.
The elder woman had been particularly aged, so her death shouldn’t have meant much. But at the same time, she had been a Celestial, so it was a scary thought that there was someone out there who could accomplish such a thing.
The Undying God had been present in the battle, but the one who killed her had been an enemy Celestial from the sound of it. The Undying God wasn’t there just yet.
Sky God’s palace hadn’t stopped doing what it did despite the relatively recent tragedy, and the new Sky God, Newheaven, had quickly taken over her master’s responsibilities without many mistakes.
Her authority wasn’t as strong as her master’s, but the Sky God was still the leader of the Council of Gods, so people respected her.
Steelmind received a message from her, asking him to visit the Sky God’s realm for another council meeting if he could.
Not only did Steelmind not know if he had the time, but he was also scared of the Godkiller showing up again, so he decided not to go. He would soon learn what he missed anyway.
What he had missed was the ascension of two people to godhood.
The first was HundredSlice, disciple of the previous Sword God, who had managed to defeat every other fighter to become the new Sword God.
The second ascension was a new one-a first of its kind. A young man from the Medicine World had managed to improve his knowledge of alchemy to such a terrifying degree that he had been given the first-ever title of the Alchemy God.
Steelmind was stunned to hear about the man and what he was capable of. Hearing the stories surrounding him, he was said to be able to create pills of many kinds, fit to a person’s exact need.
His talent in making pills itself wasn’t all that impressive from the sounds of it, but his knowledge was what had given him his title. Steelmind wondered if his brother and his wife would have found a way to survive had the Alchemy God appeared just a few dozen millennia earlier.
His focus returned to his work again, and he soon became lost in it. His tasks to repair artifacts were still many, but there were also tasks to create new artifacts, which was where he had the most fun. One of those tasks he remembered was making a sword for a young girl whose talent in swordsmanship had caught the eyes of many. Bladedance was still at the early stages of the Divine Creation realm, but her sword skills were already on par with many Sword Sages. Had she been born earlier, she might’ve been considered one of humanity’s greatest soldiers alongside Spearheaven.
Another one of such tasks came out of the blue many years later. Two people arrived at his workshop without any appointment and wished
to see him directly.
Steelmind wondered why he was being disturbed, but after seeing one of the people who had arrived, he quickly realized why. Of the two that had arrived, one was a pale-faced woman with long black hair. Her aura alone scared away most of the others. “Death God!” Steelmind said in surprise. “Welcome to my workshop.” Duskcorpse gave a soft smile. “Thank you,” she said before gesturing to the young man who stood next to her. “You must not have met him before. This is the Alchemy God.”
