Chapter 3114 Azure Dragon's Lightning Strike

Chapter 3114 Azure Dragon’s Lightning Strike

Alex turned toward the blue-haired woman who came out from behind the trees, an unreadable expression on her face. He felt her aura, reasoning it to be something that belonged to an Azure Dragon, and wondered what she was doing there.

There was one of them fighting Pearl right now, and now there was another here? Why? It couldn’t be a coincidence that there were two Azure Dragons so close to each other, right?

This was the third one he had seen in less than a month.

The woman sniffed the air and growled. “Why do I sense the blood of my kin here?” she asked, her expression growing angry. “What did you do?”

“I…”

Alex immediately realized why she had come and was ready to explain that it had been nothing more than a coincidence and that the blood was something gifted to him. However, after taking a moment to think through what he was going to say, he came to the conclusion that it would be far better if he said absolutely nothing.

He wanted more Azure Dragon blood, and this was a great way to get it.

His lips split into a grin. “Thank you for showing yourself,” he said. “The previous one died too easily, so I was hoping to find another

one.”

Those words were enough to enrage the woman.

Without warning, she teleported, immediately arriving behind Alex, her palms crackling with lightning.

Memory flew up instantly, getting between him and the lightning bolt. Memory withstood the attack with relative ease, needing no aid from Alex this time.

Alex took Memory back into his Soul Space, brought out his sword, and dashed forward to attack the Azure Dragon.

Green aura surrounded the woman’s feet, and she moved, her body blurring through the air as she got away from Alex. However, even though she was fast, Alex could see her movements with ease.

Alex swung his sword, targeting the spot where she was going to end up. The woman stopped right before she was struck by the attack, dodging it by no more than a hand’s space. She turned her body, swiping her fingers at him like talons, throwing wind blades at him.

Alex moved forward, dashing between the wind blades, dodging each

one.

The woman brought her two palms forward, bright electricity

crackling in both, and threw them out together as a large bolt of lightning.

The lightning took the shape of a massive dragon that tore through space itself to consume Alex.

Alex watched the sight of the dragon with some surprise as it devoured him. A thunderous boom followed the clash, shockwaves propagating from the location.

The woman could barely keep her eyes open at the brightness of her own attack and had to wait a second for everything to dim. When the light cleared, she saw a crater-and no body.

She expanded her senses to the five hundred meters she was allowed, panicked that he had dodged it, but she could not sense anyone whatsoever. She frowned, surprised.

Had she killed her opponent in a single attack?

The Azure Dragon’s Lightning Strike was a bloodline art, so it was strong. But it couldn’t be that strong, right?

She felt something just then from her left side, causing her to look down. When she did, she noticed something-or rather, a lack of

something.

“Why is my arm gone?”

The pain came afterward-intense and in waves, like tides clashing against a cliffside. The woman fell to her knees, clasping her cut arm as she roared in pain.

Light shined from her body, and she slowly transformed, turning back into an Azure Dragon, now missing her left forelimb.

Alex appeared out of his invisibility, holding the arm. “Thanks for the arm,” he said as he brought out an empty vessel and drained the blood into it. Once the blood was drained, the arm itself was of little use to

him.

He couldn’t use it to learn more about the connection between blood, soul, and body. Not with this arm, at least. As soon as the dragon took her healing pills and regained her lost limb, the connection to this arm would be gone, and all that would remain would be a piece of flesh that couldn’t help him.

This wouldn’t even help someone who wished to use the arm to transcend their Origin with the Azure Dragon’s aura.

He tossed the arm back toward the Azure Dragon, which the dragon

felt was a worse fate than having her arm taken off.

“You…” she growled, wishing to threaten him with death and everything bad. But she understood she was in no place to say those words after being the one who had been wounded.

The beast before her had survived her strongest attack, so words wouldn’t do her any good.

Alex stared at her for some time, ready to defend against whatever attack she threw at him. However, when the dragon didn’t retaliate immediately, it gave him time to think of something.

He quickly reached into his Soul Space and brought out a small bottle. He opened it and brought out a pill from inside, placing it on his palm.

“This is a healing pill,” he said. “Do you want it?”

The dragon stared at him with confused eyes for some time before growing angrier. “Are you mocking me?” she asked.

“No mocking. It’s a genuine question. Do you want it?” he asked.

“Why would I take a healing pill from an opponent?” she asked. “I have

my own.”

“This is a nine-veined pill,” Alex said, hoping to persuade her.

His words did seem to surprise her a bit, and she took a closer look to be sure. Her confusion only increased as a result.

“It does seem to be what you say it is,” she said. “But why should I take it? I cannot be certain it’s a healing pill in the first place. And you don’t seem the type to be doing this out of the kindness of your heart. Not after you killed my kin.”
