Chapter 1349 House Meeting! (2)
Chapter 1349 House Meeting! (2)
Ace, feeling a chill running down his spine, instantly looked towards the newcomer with a hint of astonishment because the intent he felt seemed to have stirred his sword heart.
Standing no far away from him was a celestial-like woman with long, silver hair adorned in white robes. She was standing and glaring towards Eva in her arms with clenched fists; it was Alina!
Alina seemed different as the runic marking and the diamond-shaped mark on her glabella seemed to have been hidden by her. However, Ace was astonished because of the terrifying sword intent emitting from her body; he felt that even his advanced sword heart was lacking in front of her.
Although he knew Alina seemed to have a special fantastic physique related to the sword, he didn’t know what kind of physique she had. Now that he saw her after so many years, he could detect how terrifying her sword physique was, not to mention her sword intent was pure, and he could feel the traces of force behind it.
On the other hand, Eva had also grown to the point where he couldn’t even measure the depth of her power. Furthermore, she seemed to have become a Void Abyssal Devil; her hair was now completely dark purple, and the runic markings on her skin were also hidden, evident in her control over her bloodline.
However, Ace can’t congratulate any of them because of the awkward atmosphere caused by these two beings. He wanted to say something, but no words came out since he knew it might cause them to fight each other or worse, him!
Eva also sensed Alina’s familiar presence since the latter wasn’t hiding it all, but she seemed to ignore her and hugged Ace even more tightly.
“Shameless Devil, what do you think you’re doing!?!” Alina yelled at her when she saw Eva’s shameless behavior. On the other hand, the onlookers have different reactions than the other. Zaria was dumbfounded and in utter confusion, while Leah was extremely curious as she was between Alina and Eva with shining eyes; Chuchu had thrown somewhere when Eva ‘claimed’ her position, while Cyrus was trembling as he shrunk his bird neck, afraid of being noticed by Eva and Alina.
But no matter what, no one seemed interested in interfering, and Ace was the epicenter of the brewing storm.
At this moment, another light flashed, and another house member appeared; it was Freya, adorned in a black outfit with a mask on her face. She was about to greet everyone when she suddenly stopped as she sensed the sharp aura and looked over.
When she saw the deadlock and Ace sending her a meaningful single, she quickly pretended not to notice anything and sat silently.
Ace was extremely frustrated and knew the only one who could help was himself. He gently sent a mental voice while rubbing Eva’s head, “Alright, I missed you terribly; now, can you stop teasing Alina?”
Eva, who had been ignoring Alina, finally raised her head, looked at Ace with an innocent expression, and replied, “I don’t know what you mean.”
Then she looked at Alina, whose veins bulged on her forehead, smiled triumphally, and retorted with a hint of provocation, “I don’t know what you’re so flustered about. I’m hugging my hubby; if you have a problem, close your eyes, Miss ‘Fiancé’.”
“Alright, you and me, outside right now!” Alina seemed to have made a huge decision as she glared at Eva with bloodshot eyes, and her aura became even more terrifying.
“Anytime.” Eva wasn’t afraid at all as her eyes turned pitch black like a void.
Ace sighed as he released the aura of Darkness Order and stated coldly in a commanding tone, “No one is fighting anyone today. Alina, please sit down, and Eva, stop provoking her. We’ll discuss this matter privately. You know why we are here, right?”
Eva and Alina’s expressions trembled slightly as they looked at Ace; although his prowess might not be on the same level, his authority over laws was unmatched because he was the controller of an order. It was especially effective against the beings of darkness like Eva.
Eva pouted but no longer antagonized Alina; however, before she left Ace’s lap, she quickly kissed him on the lips and ran away towards her seat, flashing another victorious smile toward dumbfounded Aline.
“Shameless devil, just you wait,” Alina muttered with a flushed expression as she took the second-closest seat to Ace in front of Eva.
Ace smiled wryly as he knew it was his own doing. He then looked towards Freya and pursed his lips, “Alright, stop pretending and take your seat.”
“Oh, I was just checking something.” Freya sounded cheerful as if nothing happened and walked towards her seat and sat next to Eva.
Ace scoffed at the cunning witch before he looked at Zaria, who still seemed to be in a daze about the whole situation, and smiled apologetically, “Zaria, you as well; please take a seat. Let me introduce you to other house members.”
He then glanced towards Leah, Cyrus, and Chuchu, who had run over Cyrus at some point and now looked at Leah with hostility and said, “Alright, you three pay alone for a bit. And Cyrus, stop causing trouble. Leah should be your little sister or friend like Chuchu, not a maid, so be nice to her.”
With a tap of his finger, the three children vanished as he sent them to Zaria’s place where Leah was building a ‘coin house’ and let them bound on their own for now since he had warned Cyrus, and with Eva and Alina’s presence, he won’t dare to cause trouble.
Zaria pursed her lips but didn’t reject Ace’s arrangement since she could feel those two terrifying beings seemed to be looking at her with a hint of hostility, especially the silver-haired one; her eyes seemed like swords ready to stab into her heart.
Zaria took a deep breath, walked towards Freya, and sat beside her, which made Alina frown slightly. Her corner seemed rather empty while Eva flashed a pleased smile.
Ace instantly sensed something wrong and quickly shifted the focus before it became a territorial battle between Alina and Eva.
He coughed lightly, “Ahem, everyone, she is Zaria, Lucky Thief, a new addition to Thief House.”
Zaria nodded impassively in greeting.
At this moment, Eva spoke up before Ace could introduce her, “So, you are the newcomer; it is nice to meet you; I’m Eva A. White, Ace’s wife and Vice Leader of the Thief House.”
“Like hell you are!” Alina instantly retorted.
Eva looked at Alina and asked with narrowed eyes, “What do you mean?”
“You are no Vice Leader!” Alina coldly stated.
Eva suddenly smiled as if waiting for her to say it, “Then you’re admitting I’m his ‘1st’ wife, right?”
Alina was lost for words and knew she had fallen into a trap. She would rather admit Eva was the vice leader than the 1st Wife!
‘How can they even fight over introduction?’ Ace was speechless and quickly intervened, “Yes, Eva is my wife. This is Alina, also my fiancé. That cunning woman is Freya.”
“Now that’s rude. You make me sound like some villain.” Freya retorted in protest as she looked at Zaria, who seemed to have finally realized what was going on to some extent and said meaningfully, “We’ve talked, right? It’s really nice to meet you.”
Zaria again felt that Freya seemed to be the only ally here since those other two seemed to be lunatic and emotionally said, “Yes, I’m glad you’re here.”
Ace was surprised, “You two have talked?”
“None of your damn business.” Zaria retorted as she felt indignant towards Ace for pulling her into this mad house.
Eva’s eyes narrowed sharply as she didn’t like Zaria’s tone, while Alina also showed chilling intent. They might normally dismiss Ace, but they can’t accept it when others do the same.
Ace instantly knew things were going south again, and the final two house members appeared at this moment.
However, Ace’s expression instantly changed when he vanished from his seat, appeared right beside one of them, and stopped her from falling.
Killing intent swirled in Ace’s eyes as he looked at Noa, who was full of injuries. One of her arms was missing, her complexion was black, and a very nefarious aura was coming from her body.
“Who did this?!”
