Chapter 2365 - I’m Angry

Chapter 2365 – I’m Angry

He wants us to… kneel before Su Yi!?

Tai Jianlin and the others were completely caught off guard, to the point that they almost suspected that they were hearing things.

Qingyang Feng’s expression was calm and mellow as he said, “I told you to invite Fellow Daoist Su here. I didn’t tell you to resort to such underhanded schemes to force him to come here.”

He sighed. “If I were Fellow Daoist Su, I would be angry about this, too.”

Tai Jianlin and the others were shocked and furious. What the hell is he saying? Is he trying to burn a bridge after crossing it?

A golden-robed man said gravely, “Esteemed prince, according to our agreement…”

Bang!

The golden-robed man’s body shattered into pieces, burnt to cinders.

Everyone was visibly horrified.

Su Yi’s eyebrows rose. He could clearly see that all Qingyang Feng had done was casually wave his hand, but an utterly strange, inscrutable power had surged forth, like a searing divine flame. In doing so, he’d instantly reduced a Five-Tribulation Master God to ashes!

Not even Su Yi had anticipated that this seemingly mellow, amiable man would be so ruthless when he attacked.

Qingyang Feng acted as if he’d done something trivial and entirely unworthy of mention. He said calmly, “No more arguments. Hurry up and kneel.”

Tai Jianlin and the others’ faces were ashen with incomparable fury. They’d never even considered that the “prince” of the Blue Sparrow Forbidden Zone would turn on them at the drop of a hat.

A middle-aged man took a deep breath, then said, “Prince, aren’t you afraid that if you do this…”

Bang!

Qingyang Feng waved his sleeve, and the middle-aged man exploded, his body offering no more resistance than paper window paneling. He perished on the spot.

This bloody scene thoroughly intimidated Tai Jianlin and the others.

“They say three times is the limit. If you keep refusing to learn some consideration, I’ll just kill you all to help Fellow Daoist Su vent,” Qingyang Feng said slowly.

His bearing remained gentle, and his presence wasn’t the least bit imposing, but when he struck, he was terrifying beyond measure. He’d thoroughly intimidated the three remaining Master Gods!

Two of them felt their knees turn to jelly, then thud to the ground.

Only Tai Jianlin remained standing, his face ashen. “Fellow Daoist Su, that monkey’s soul is in our hands. If I die, you can forget about retrieving it!”

He dared not oppose Qingyang Feng, so he decided to try threatening Su Yi instead.

“Fool.” Qingyang Feng shook his head.

“He really is stupid,” sighed Su Yi. “When you ask a tiger for its skin, you get eaten, and when a hunting dog outlives its usefulness, it goes straight into the stewpot.”

Qingyang Feng laughed. “You’re mistaken, Fellow Daoist. Their five factions wanted to work with us because they wanted to borrow our hands to attack you.”

He paused, and his smile faded. “Even more outrageous is that despite agreeing to cooperate with us, they thought they could watch tigers fight from the safety of the mountains, then swoop in to reap the benefits. They really didn’t know what was good for them.”

There was no doubt about it. Qingyang Feng had long since seen through Divine Billows Palace and the other factions’ intentions!

Su Yi took out a jug of wine and had a sip. “They might have harbored ulterior motives, but weren’t you using them, too? You’re… all jackals of the same tribe.”

He made no attempt to conceal the mockery in his voice.

But Qingyang Feng thought nothing of it. He laughed and said, “Fellow Daoist, I know who’s good to me and who isn’t. Anyone who tries to use me must pay the price, but when someone is sincere about befriending me, I’ll welcome them with open arms!”

He gestured to Tai Jianlin. “He threatened you, Fellow Daoist. Tell me, what do you think we should do with him?”

Tai Jianlin tensed, his eyes bloodshot. He roared as if he’d gone mad, “Su Yi, killing me will do you no good. If you—”

Splurt!

Sword qi flashed past, and Tai Jianlin’s head and shoulders parted ways. He died on the spot.

Qingyang Feng was briefly startled, but after a moment’s silence, he laughed and applauded. “Good! Satisfying! People like him ought to be killed to spare the populace from future disasters!”

The two kneeling figures quivered. They knew that that could easily have been them.

Su Yi said flatly, “No need for further probing. As I’m sure you can already tell, threats are useless against me.”

It was true. Qingyang Feng had asked whether or not he should kill Tai Jianlin to test Su Yi. Had Su Yi chosen to spare Tai Jianlin out of consideration for the little monkey’s life, it would have proven that threats were useful against him!

That was why Qingyang Feng was probing him. Unfortunately, Su Yi didn’t give him any opportunity whatsoever.

“You’re jumping to conclusions, Fellow Daoist. We truly wish to work together,” Qingyang Feng said solemnly. “Were that not the case, why would I have helped you kill those people?”

Su Yi immediately corrected him. “You killed those people. You didn’t ‘help me’ kill them.”

Qingyang Feng’s eyes narrowed. He laughed, “This is an expression of my sincerity. Surely you won’t refuse my good intentions?”

Su Yi laughed too. “It’s not a favor if you coerce someone into accepting it or foist it onto them. Besides… Don’t even try to tell me you weren’t the ones orchestrating this trap from behind the scenes.”

He was getting straight to the point; he couldn’t be bothered to play word games with Qingyang Feng.

Qingyang Feng sighed. “Fellow Daoist, you just need to understand that we did this because we hope to work with you. Heaven and earth can attest to this, and the sun and moon can serve as our witnesses!”

With that, he waved his sleeve through the air.

Bang! Bang!

The two kneeling figures died on the spot, burnt to ash, destroyed body and soul.

It was truly unreasonable. He’d just killed two Master Gods for no reason.

But that only made it all the more obvious how dangerous Qingyang Feng was. He killed without batting an eye. More than that, he was heartless and brutal!

Anyone else would have been scared out of their wits after seeing this, but it was as if Su Yi hadn’t seen a thing.

Qingyang Feng crouched beside Tai Jianlin’s corpse, rifled through his belongings, and found the little monkey’s body. “Fellow Daoist, this must be your friend’s corpse.”

“These people are just terrible! How could they have been so cruel and ruthless? They actually tortured your friend into such a state. They’re simply devoid of conscience!” Qingyang Feng said indignantly. “Fellow Daoist, agree to work with us, and I promise to one day slaughter every faction involved to vent on your friend’s behalf!”

As he spoke, he carefully placed the little monkey’s corpse in front of Su Yi, then took several steps back. “What do you think, Fellow Daoist?”

Su Yi said nothing. He just put the little monkey’s corpse away, then looked around. “And what if I don’t want to work with you? Will you keep me from leaving?”

Qingyang Feng’s brow furrowed, and he laughed bitterly. “Surely you won’t be so disagreeable, Fellow Daoist?”

Su Yi said calmly, “Tell the others to come out. Let’s see if you can keep me here.”

“Do you think my sincerity was insufficient? Rest assured. No matter what you want, everything is up for discussion!” Qingyang Feng said seriously.

Su Yi couldn’t help but take another look at him. He’d cut down those Master Gods like grass. He hadn’t even batted an eye.

Yet now, he seemed extraordinarily patient. Despite Su Yi repeatedly refusing him, he didn’t seem at all upset.

People like this were the most troublesome of all, and the most dangerous!

Unfortunately, this wasn’t effective against Su Yi.

“Also, you needn’t worry about running into trouble during our cooperation,” Qingyan Feng said sincerely. “We need your power over reincarnation, and in exchange, we can help you, too. That way, we’ll each get what we need, and we’ll both benefit.”

Su Yi pointed to where Tai Jianlin and the others had died, then said, “I’m different from them. I know better than to ask a tiger for its skin.”

Qingyang Feng’s brow furrowed. He sighed, “Fellow Daoist, you’ve really misunderstood me.”

Su Yi said, “It doesn’t matter whether or not this is a misunderstanding. I said it earlier: the moment you set this trap for me, there ceased to be anything for us to discuss. There’s no way we can work together.”

Qingyang Feng rubbed his nose and sighed in exasperation. “Fellow Daoist, you’re truly making this hard for me.”

Suddenly, an icy female voice rang out.

“What’s so hard about this? He’s refusing a toast, so we’ll just have to make him drink a forfeit!”

A streak of resplendent blue firelight suddenly descended from the dome of heaven, then transformed into a tall, slender, beautiful woman in clothes whiter than snow.

Her face was cold as ice, and her eyes shone dull gold and glinted like treasures. Find the newest release on novel·fire·net

As soon as she appeared, she fixed her gaze on Su Yi and said slowly and clearly, “The more you give him face, the more he’ll walk all over you! Just suppress him and be done with it!”

Boom!

Murderous intent erupted from her body like lava, and countless glyphs reminiscent of blue flower petals appeared reflected around her with terrifying majesty.

She was a Six-Tribulation Master Goddess, but her aura wasn’t one whit weaker than a Nine Tribulation Master God’s!

“Wait!” Qingyang Feng hurriedly tried to dissuade her. “Don’t be impulsive. Fighting will only ruin the peace!”

“What peace? The people of the God Domain are helpless against us. Here, with our power, suppressing them is no more difficult than turning over our hands, right?” A coarse, deep voice rang out, and a tall, powerfully built figure appeared. He wore bronze armor, and his hands gripped a silver spear.

His face was obscured by a gray helmet, revealing only his cold, bloodthirsty eyes. His murderous intent was so overwhelming that it stained the skies blood-red.

His cultivation base was even more terrifying. He was a Seven-Tribulation Master God, but he too wasn’t any weaker than most Nine-Tribulation Master Gods!

But Su Yi didn’t find this at all strange.

In the Ruins of Supreme Emergence, Celestial Venerate Zhou Ye’s disciple, Hong Li, had been a Limit Realm Mid-Rank God, yet she’d had the heaven-defying strength to fight Seven-Tribulation Master Gods. Now that was really heaven-defying.

“Fellow Daoist, as you can see, you can try to refuse to cooperate with us, but they… won’t agree.” Qingyang Feng sighed with exasperation. “I still hope we can work together. That would make us allies in the same camp, and when the Dark Days of Legend arrive…”

“Attack,” interrupted Su Yi.

It was just two short syllables, but they contained incontrovertible power.

Qingyang Feng’s frown deepened, and his originally mellow expression grew cold.

“See that? In his eyes, your so-called ‘sincerity’ and ‘good intentions’ aren’t even worth a fart,” the woman in white said with a cold, disdainful laugh.

“That’s right. You tried your utmost to be friendly, but what did it get you?” the man in armor said coldly. “Even after all that talk, this is ultimately going to come down to whose fist is bigger. Let’s knock him to the ground and beat him until he’s sprawled out like a dead dog. Only then will he understand our strength and cooperate!”

Qingyang Feng said coldly, “You two don’t always understand. I’ve always tried to resolve things peacefully before resorting to violence. Those are my principles. But now…”

He paused, looked at Su Yi, and said slowly and clearly, “I’m angry!”
