Chapter 2487 - When Su Yi Strikes
Chapter 2487 – When Su Yi Strikes
Boom!
As that figure grabbed the Undying Divine Phoenix and the young woman, Xiao Xiao, he swung his left sleeve.
Boundless sword qi filled heaven and earth, falling like rain with a bang. More than ten Master Gods’ attacks crumbled amidst the endless sword rain.
Su Yi!? Luo Qingdi suddenly raised his head. He was unwittingly stunned. It really is Su Yi!
Practically simultaneously, the middle-aged man in the feather coat and his allies saw this new arrival clearly. All of them looked stricken.
“What would have happened if I’d come even just a little later?” Su Yi sighed.
He returned the phoenix and Xiao Xiao to Luo Qingdi, then said, “Leave the rest to me.”
Waves of emotion coursed through Luo Qingdi’s heart. He nodded.
“By yourself?” The middle-aged man in the feather coat said coldly, “That’s nothing but shameless boasting! The battle in the Hazy Sea Forbidden Zone might have intimidated the ignorant masses, but it wasn’t enough to scare us!”
“That’s right. Without your reinforcements, how could a new Master God like you possibly fight so many Nine-Tribulation Master Gods?” someone else jeered.
“Who’d you ask to help you this time?” someone else said with a cold laugh.
All of them knew that after the battle in the Hazy Sea Forbidden Zone, Su Yi’s prestige was at an all time high. However, they also knew that Su Yi had won with the help of the old friends he’d saved in the Boundless Battlefield.
He hadn’t even attacked!
The only thing they couldn’t wrap their heads around was the supposed duel between him and Di E. Still, none of them believed that Su Yi had fought Di E with his own strength. The disparity was too enormous. They were as far apart as the mud and the clouds!
But Su Yi just found his enemies’ mockery amusing.
“How is it that you can gang up and bully others with such an air of righteousness, yet turn around and laugh at me simply for asking my friends for help?” Su Yi scanned the group. “Clearly you think rules are only for other people.”
The Master Gods furrowed their brows, their expressions dark. His mockery left them feeling like they had no face left.
“But you can rest assured,” said Su Yi, sharply turning tacks. “I have no need for others’ help to deal with old-timers like you. I alone will be plenty.”
He spoke with the utmost confidence and composure.
“Truly?” The middle-aged man’s eyes flashed
“Whether it’s true or not, do you have any choice but to fight me?” laughed Su Yi. These old-timers are obviously terrified that I’ll call for help.
The middle-aged man in the feather coat had a strange look in his eyes. “There’s no denying it. You sure have guts!”
Su Yi said calmly, “If I hadn’t shown up, wouldn’t your schemes have come to naught?”
Luo Qingdi’s gaze focused. Were they really targeting me and Xiao Xiao just to get to Su Yi?
“Schemes?” The middle-aged man in the feather coat furrowed his brow. “What do you mean by that?”
The other old monsters looked bewildered, too.
Su Yi said thoughtfully, “You don’t know either? It seems that either I guessed wrong or… you’ve been kept in the dark, too.”
The middle-aged man and the others exchanged glances. Their frowns deepened.
“Quit trying to alarm us, dammit!” A man in gray snorted coldly. “It doesn’t matter if this is a plot or not. If you want to survive, you’ll have to get through us first!”
“If you aren’t worried about it, let’s just see who’s stronger,” Su Yi said casually.
Before his voice had even finished echoing through the air, he attacked.
First, he vanished into thin air. A moment later, an unstoppably sharp edge exploded into being, bringing with it mysterious and inscrutable power of the Laws of the Grand Dao.
Boom!
Sword intent shot into the nine heavens, shaking the firmament.
The sky tore like canvas as a perfectly straight rift tore open.
At the far end of the rift, that unstoppable edge hurtled toward the man in gray.
This strike was more than just fast. It threatened to tear open heaven and earth with unstoppable force.
Bang!
The man in gray pressed down, shattering the sword qi in front of him. It dissipated into a rain of light.
“That all you got?” The man in gray said playfully.
Boom!
Before his voice had even finished echoing through the air, the rain of shattered sword light shook, then silently condensed into a curtain of light imbued with the mysteries of reincarnation. It enveloped the man in gray from all sides.
Boom!
The sword curtain was like the curtain of heaven. It blanketed the sky and blotted out the sun, severing everything on all sides.
Visions of reincarnation floated within the curtain of light, reflecting the cycle of life and other mysteries.
The instant the man in gray found himself trapped, his hair stood on end. He could sense an impending lethal threat.
“Break!” He roared, then erupted with Dao Light. It condensed into nine-layered waves, a current of the Grand Dao that instantly exploded.
This was the life-saving trump card he kept in reserve. He called it the Nine-Layered Wave of the River of Heaven. It was immensely, shockingly destructive. Even when he fought others of the same level, few could block it head-on.
But to his horror, the sword curtain ground even this life-saving trump card away!
“This…” Chills coursed down the man’s back.
But before he could attack again, the expansive sword curtain descended with a bang.
From the man in gray’s perspective, it was as if the Netherworld were descending, dragging him toward the Yellow Springs. He saw the Naihe Bridge, the Ghost’s Gate, the Ten Yama Kings, and the River of Forgetfulness…
And he himself was like a wandering ghost plunged into the cycle of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, exiled from this world.
Bitterness, despair, and terror filled his heart. Even his soul was intimidated.
It was indistinct, but he could see his body shattered amidst a dark purgatory, and his soul sinking into the Sea of the Bitterness.
In the last moments before his awareness faded, he saw a swath of indescribable dusky light. It was boundless, ethereal, and mysterious, like all living beings were returning to stillness and oblivion. It seemed utterly desolate and bleak.
Boom!
Moments later, all awareness fled him.
Although this took some time to describe, in truth, it was over in a flash.
From the outsiders’ perspective, the man in gray had just stood there in a vacant-eyed daze as the sword curtain enveloped him. He barely even struggled as it reduced him to nothingness.
He died without leaving the slightest trace behind!
Luo Qingdi was stunned. What a powerful strike! He slew a Nine-Tribulation Master God in a single slash! Just how strong has Fellow Daoist Su become?
When we first arrived in the God Domain, he’d only just broken into the Creation Realm and become a Lesser God.
Just nine short years have passed, but he can alreadycut down Master Gods?
Luo Qingdi had lived in hiding for the past nine years, but he wasn’t entirely ignorant of the outside world. He’d heard of Su Yi’s feats in the God Domain.
To the best of his knowledge, it had been just over a year since Su Yi had broken into the Undying Realm!
Who could have imagined that he was already capable of killing Nine-Tribulation Master Gods?
Luo Qingdi wasn’t the only one who was stunned. The middle-aged man in the feather coat and his allies were astonished, too. All of their expressions shifted.
“You sneered, ‘That all you got?’ then died in a single blow. Your death is unworthy of pity.” Su Yi shook his head.
His tone was casual, but the looks in the Nine-Tribulation Master Gods shifted. Their gazes now carried deep-seated dread, and they readied themselves to face a powerful foe.
Earlier, they’d assumed that Su Yi’s individual strength was nowhere near enough to contend with Nine-Tribulation Master Gods.
The reality proved that they’d missed the mark.
And by a long shot, too!
“Who wants to fight me next?” said Su Yi, his hands behind his back as he scanned his enemies. With his blue robes fluttering in the wind, he looked extraordinarily elegant, like he’d risen out of the dust.
“Do you really think we’ll give you a chance to fight a fair duel?” the middle-aged man in the feather coat said grimly.
“Oh?” said Su Yi, not the least bit concerned. “Go ahead and attack together, then.”
His enemies had never been too ashamed to gang up on him. Su Yi had long since grown accustomed to this.
But the calmer he was, the less his opponents dared to be negligent. They exchanged glances and, without any prior discussion, attacked as one.
“Die!”
Someone bellowed, and more than ten Nine-Tribulation Master Gods drew their Undying weapons and attacked. All of them were using their killer moves.
Their combined divine majesty shook the surrounding area. The entire stretch of heaven and earth descended into chaos and upheaval. Divine light ran rampant, and their treasures rumbled and boomed.
But they’d split into two groups. One group charged at Su Yi, the other at Luo Qingdi. It was immediately obvious that they hoped to threaten Luo Qingdi to restrict Su Yi!
It was a wise strategy. Unfortunately for them, to the current Su Yi, it wasn’t even worth looking at. He took a step forward, and…
Boom!
Heaven and earth overturned. All of creation dimmed as dense sword qi rose into the air, outlining a grand and mysterious sword domain around Luo Qingdi.
The Nine-Tribulation Master Gods’ attacks slammed into the sword domain, but its surface merely rippled. They couldn’t even shake it!
Meanwhile, Su Yi darted about like a beam of flowing light. He suddenly appeared in front of a woman in black
He used his fingertips as a blade and slashed the air.
Bang!!
The bronze mirror protecting the woman in black shattered, and her head flew through the air.
She’d been decapitated!
Even as her head flew through the air, her eyes were full of bewilderment. I’m a Nine-Tribulation Master Goddess… but I couldn’t block even one of Su Yi’s attacks?
Moments later, her head and body crumbled into ash and dissipated.
Su Yi, meanwhile, had already moved on. Since he’d decided to attack, he naturally wouldn’t stay his hand.
“Die!” Another Nine-Tribulation Master God charged, swinging an eye-catching, enormous golden halberd. It pierced the sky, shattering everything on all sides with incomparably tyrannical force.
Su Yi raised and swung his hand.
Clang!!
It was just a light, airy strike, but it sent the halberd flying with the startling imprint of its palm on its surface. Shortly after, it shattered into countless pieces.
That was an Undying Dao Weapon, yet it had fallen apart in an instant!
Its wielder, a Nine-Tribulation Master God, turned to flee, only for Su Yi to shatter his body with a swing of his arm.
Blood poured down like a waterfall.
Before his soul origin could escape, the unparalleled sword force emanating from Su Yi ground him down to nothing. It was as easy as crushing an ant.
The sight left the other Nine-Tribulation Master Gods’ scalps numb with fright. Their souls practically left their mouths for sheer panic.
None of them could even imagine how Su Yi had become this terrifying.
He wasn’t at all inferior to Li Fuyou or Yi Daoxuan at their peaks. On the contrary, he was even more terrifying.
Because as of yet, not one of them had managed to block his attacks!
Given the circumstances, there was naturally no way for them to even gauge just how strong he’d become.
At first, Luo Qingdi was a bit nervous, but he soon fell silent. He watched the blood splattering the battlefield in a daze.
When he looked at Su Yi, he almost felt as if he were looking at himself at his former peak.
Back then… didn’t I kill Nine-Tribulation Master Gods with such ease, too?
Don’t tell me that Fellow Daoist Su has already started to contemplate the mysteries of the River of Destiny and strive for the secrets of Eternity?
