The Ravening Wolf Forbidden Zone was just thirty thousand feet away.

Yue Qiong was a Half-Step Eternal. That distance meant nothing to him; it might as well have been just a foot away. He could escape in a flash.

But then, he felt a chill course down his spine, like a sharp edge against his back. A powerful sense of impending crisis made his hair stand on end. It felt as if death were right around the corner.

He didn’t even have time to think before an instinctual sense of danger coursed through him. He instantly circulated the full extent of his cultivation base.

Endless flames erupted from his body as if he were a long dormant volcano. Endless divine flames condensed an eighteen-layered domain in the sky.

Meanwhile, a streak of sword qi descended with a bang.

Something suddenly blocked the slash when it was less than ten feet away from him.

Su Yi sneered. “Hah. If you insist on making excuses, fine. You’re right. I admit it. Happy now?”

The blatant mockery left many of the onlookers’ cheeks hot and stinging. They felt deeply ashamed.

Because, strictly, speaking, Yue Qiong had indeed fled. They knew it, too.

“Su Yi, if you aren’t willing to accept this, why not come fight us inside the Ravening Wolf Forbidden Zone? I promise you an opportunity for a fair duel,” said Lu Daoyuan. He completely disregarded Su Yi’s barbs.

Su Yi took out a jug of wine and said, “Earlier, he promised not to flee, then went on to do just that. It seems to me that the promises of Ravening Wolf Daoist Court aren’t even worth a fart.”

Everyone in Ravening Wolf Daoist Court was furious.

However, there was no denying that Lu Daoyuan knew how to keep his cool. He wasn’t bothered in the slightest.

He’d watched the battle earlier, too nervous to even breathe. He’d been hoping that Yue Qiong would defeat Su Yi and save him.

He would never have guessed that Yue Qiong would flee instead.

And now, Su Yi was obviously intent on killing him!

“What did you think of that battle? Was it splendid?” asked Su Yi.

Xun Wuyuan lowered his head in silence.

“You needn’t panic, because all of this isn’t over yet.” Su Yi turned back around, then looked at the Ravening Wolf Forbidden Zone and whispered, “Before I came here, I said I’d see if I could destroy this place. I naturally won’t go back on my word. After all, if I did, how would I be any different from that untrustworthy patriarch of yours?”

Xun Wuyuan looked stricken, and there was uproar in the Ravening Wolf Daoist Court’s ranks. This guy is seriously so wantonly arrogant as to attempt to destroy our spacetime forbidden zone?

Lu Daoyuan and the other patriarchs were visibly stunned, too. They found this utterly absurd.

The Laws of the firmament have already collapsed and withered. All that remains is the God Domain’s chaos source. That means that even if Su Yi can control the power of divine punishment, he can only borrow a limited amount of power from heaven and earth.

Were someone to look down from the heavens, they’d have seen that the entire forbidden zone seemed to boil. Firelight churned, divine radiance swept outward, and the spacetime power blanketing the area contorted. All of the gray fog was swept away.

Many of the islands dispersed throughout the forbidden zone collapsed.

Still, in the end, the patriarchs’ weapons blocked Su Yi’s strike!

The crowd watching from within the forbidden zone all broke out in cold sweats.

For a moment there, they’d thought they were doomed. All of them had felt a suffocating lethal threat.

The patriarchs sighed in relief, too. We blocked it!

The depths of Lu Daoyuan’s gaze lit up with irrepressible fury. He gnashed his teeth and said, “Su Yi, do you really think we’ll just stand here passively and let you pummel us?”

His voice boomed throughout the nine heavens.

“Try me, then?” Su YI laughed dryly and attacked in rapid succession. One streak of sword qi flew through the air after another, all of them full of terrifying sword force.

The entire Ravening Wolf Forbidden Zone swayed, its spacetime power on the verge of collapse.

The patriarchs were fighting back with all their might, but although they managed to block this rapid series of attacks, the impact to the forbidden zone was getting worse and worse.

If things went on like this, the whole place might well fall!

When Lu Daoyuan realized this, the depths of his gaze filled with determination, and he bellowed in fury.
