Chapter 2563 - Nothing It Cannot Reach, Sweeping Through Creation

Chapter 2563 – Nothing It Cannot Reach, Sweeping Through Creation

Soft laughter rang out, and a silver-robed dandy appeared out of nowhere.

Who knew whether it was intentional or a coincidence, but he appeared directly in front of Liao Yuanshan and the others.

“Fellow Daoist, go ahead and fight without worrying about a thing. I’ll ensure you have nothing else to worry about!” the silver-robed man said leisurely.

As he spoke, his bamboo flute tapped the air.

Bang!!

Ten thousand feet away, the attacking chaos fiends stiffened.

Then, all of them simultaneously collapsed into pieces! It was as if a giant hand had crushed them. Fresh blood and chunks of flesh splattered the ground and stained the entire stretch of sky red.

Without exception, Liao Yuanshan and the others were startled.

They’d been prepared to fight. None of them had expected that a silver-robed man would arrive out of nowhere and slaughter all of their enemies with a single casual gesture!

Fiend Lords Chang Liu and Qiu Tu looked stricken.

They’d suffered heavy casualties just fighting Su Yi. Now, yet another terrifying human expert had appeared out of nowhere. How could they not be alarmed?

It’s that guy. Su Yi recognized the silver-robed man at a glance. He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

The originally fierce combat paused.

“Carry on, everyone. Just pretend I don’t exist,” laughed the silver-robed man. “I don’t want to spoil Fellow Daoist Su’s fun, and I certainly don’t want to divert attention away from him. I showed up simply to ensure he didn’t have to worry about anything else.”

There was no doubt about it. He’d long since figured out who Su Yi was. That was obvious from his choice of title.

The remaining chaos fiends’ expressions darkened. This was their territory! Yet now, both Su Yi and the silver-robed man treated them like they weren’t even there. Each was more domineering than the one before.

Of course they were angry. Who wouldn’t have been?

“You’ve already ruined my fun,” said Su Yi, gesturing to the enemies in the distance. “If you really want to help, fine. Go deal with them.”

With that, he turned, left the battlefield, and headed over to where Liao Yuanshan and the others were standing.

This sudden development left everyone stunned.

The silver-robed man couldn’t help but rub his nose and laugh. “It seems I timed my intervention poorly and offended you, Fellow Daoist Su. Very well. I’ll clean up the remaining chaos fiends as an apology.”

With that, he stepped into the sky, sleeves billowing around him, and walked toward Fiend Lord Chang Liu and the others. His bearing was casual, as if he didn’t care about a thing.

Off in the distance, Fiend Lords Chang Liu and Qiu Tu readied themselves for battle. The remaining chaos fiends’ expressions were utterly solemn.

“Your Excellency Su, are we really… just going to watch?” Liao Yuanshan and the others gathered around Su Yi and transmitted a question.

The silver-robed man had saved their lives, but they weren’t sure of his relationship to Su Yi, so they couldn’t tell whether the silver-robed man was really on their side or not.

“Let’s just stand back and watch the show,” Su Yi said casually. He took out a jug of wine and had a drink.

By this point, he’d already grasped the Fiend Lords’ abilities. Even though his battle had ended prematurely, he didn’t find it that much of a pity.

That aside, he wanted to seize this opportunity to test the man in silver robes.

“All of you should attack together,” said the silver-robed man, stopping beneath the dome of heaven. “I’m different from Fellow Daoist Su. When I fight a crowd, I prefer to use external treasures to kill all my opponents at once right off the bat.”

The crowd was stunned. He obviously plans to use some sort of treasure to kill us all, yet he’s admitting it so forthrightly. That feels… strange.

“Die!” Fiend Lord Qiu Tu was the first to attack. He suddenly vanished into thin air.

No one could tell where he’d gone. It was as if he’d evaporated.

The silver-robed man just smiled, raised his bamboo flute, and thrust it into the air beside him. “Take this!”

An unbelievable scene unfolded. A blood-red knife appeared exactly where he thrust his flute. It seemed as if the silver-robed young man had precognition, or that he’d used the flute to direct the blade’s appearance.

“Refine!” The silver-robed young man’s flute suddenly erupted with shocking corrosive power. The blood-red knife was refined into nothingness, becoming limp and powerless.

Fiend Lord Qiu Tu, the one controlling it, staggered back into view. His expression shifted dramatically; it was as if his knife were stuck. Try as he might, he couldn’t pull it back. On the contrary, he was pulled toward it.

Without the slightest hesitation, he gave up on the knife and retreated.

“Fire!” The silver-robed man shouted, and the flute struck the air.

Bang!!

The entire stretch of sky shattered.

Fiend Lord Qiu Tu had only just hidden himself when he suffered the impact and flew thirty thousand feet before managing to steady himself.

His whole body was an indistinct meaty pulp full of countless broken bones. He looked wretched to the extreme.

Silence descended over the area.

The silver-robed man completed his three moves in one fell swoop, effortlessly injuring Fiend Lord Qiu Tu!

That guy is either an Eternal’s clone or a deeply hidden Half-Step Eternal. Su Yi’s eyes flashed. He could clearly sense a hint of Eternal charm in the silver-robed man’s attacks.

“You’re actually still alive… You really are a fiend born of chaos. The strength of your body is enviable indeed,” sighed the silver-robed man.

He was already headed toward Fiend Lord Qiu Tu.

He was just one person, but the chaos fiends in the distance felt intense pressure bearing down on them.

Fiend Lord Chang Liu no longer hesitated. “Retreat!”

There was no way they could keep fighting. Fiend Lords Luan Shan and Lei Jue had already died. Bai Ye had fled, and Xuan E and Qiu Tu were badly injured.

He still had an army of lesser chaos fiends, but none of them would do him any good here. Under the circumstances, choosing to fight would be unquestionably stupid.

“Fellow Daoist Su asked me to defeat you. If I let you escape, won’t I be letting him down?” laughed the silver-man as he launched another attack.

He no longer seemed like a foppish dandy. On the contrary, his presence seemed as sharp and forceful as a knife cleaving through the ages!

Boom!!!

His clothing billowed around him as his flute swept through the air. Heaven and earth collapsed, and a dazzling, resplendent blue arc shot through the air.

Wherever it passed, all of creation withered and the Grand Dao collapsed, as if throwing the entire Heaven-Combating Hidden Realm into chaos or trying to cleave the whole place open.

“This…” Liao Yuanshan and the others gasped.

Su Yi’s eyes narrowed.

There was only one word to describe that attack: tyrannical!

There was nowhere it couldn’t reach. It swept throughout heaven and earth!

The fleeing chaos fiends couldn’t dodge in time. When the blue light swept over them, their bodies were blasted to bits, offering no more resistance than paper window panelling. Their corpses fell to the ground like rain!

As mighty as Fiend Lord Qiu Tu was, the blue light shattered his body and reduced his soul to powder.

Fiend Lords Chang Liu and Xuan E were at the front of the pack. Just as they were about to die brutal deaths, a streak of golden light suddenly illuminated the firmament.

The light fell, illuminating the nine heavens and shattering the silver-robed man’s arc of blue light!

This attack had arrived just in time, saving Fiend Lords Chang Liu and Xuan E from otherwise certain death.

“Ee?” The silver-robed man looked startled.

Su Yi’s gaze was deep and profound as he gazed into the distance. What an impressive aura of the Grand Dao. It’s even stronger than a Half-Step Eternal’s. Don’t tell me someone comparable to a False Eternal intervened?

Dazzling, beautiful light lit up the firmament, glittering and golden, limitless and holy.

Everyone watched as the dazzling golden light suddenly constricted, then condensed into a figure.

He was a man with long, snow-white hair. He was tall and thin, with beautifully handsome, unearthly features.

His most striking feature was his eyes. They were mysterious and strange, and when they opened, they were like gates to the nine abysses. One look was enough to make someone tremble.

“Jin Xiao! You’re finally here!” The two surviving fiend lords sighed in relief, their expressions suddenly full of excitement, as if they knew they’d been saved.

Jin Xiao.

He was ranked second among the Seven Chaos Kings. Way back in the earliest days of the God Domain’s history, the world’s inhabitants had honored him as the Golden Firmament Chaos Emperor.

Among the Seven Chaos Kings and Eight Fiend Lords, he was an unparalleled figure, second only to the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King. He was terrifying beyond measure.

Jin Xiao glanced at Chang Liu and Xuan E. He couldn’t help but frown.

“The Heaven-Trampling Chaos King has commanded that those two fellow Daoists be invited to his palace,” said Jin Xiao, looking at Su Yi and the silver-robed man.

This was entirely unexpected, and it seemed unbelievable. They’d already cast aside all pretenses of cordiality, and there was already a blood debt between them. How could they invite Su Yi and the silver-robed man to Heaven-Trampling Palace as guests now?

It wasn’t just Su Yi and the other humans. The two surviving Fiend Lords were stunned, too. They found this hard to believe.

“Jin Xiao, those humans killed many of our clansmen, including Lei Jue and Luan Shan. How could we possibly invite them to Heaven-Trampling palace?” sputtered Fiend Lord Chang Liu.

It seemed simply unreasonable. Now that Jin Xiao was here, shouldn’t he have helped them finish those humans off?

“These are orders,” Jin Xiao said gravely. “If you’re confused, you can ask the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King yourself.”

For the most part, the Seven Chaos Kings and the Eight Fiend Lords were equals, members of the same “generation.” However, the greatest among them, the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King, was their ruler. He presided over the entire fiend lord race.

None could defy his orders.

“And if we aren’t interested in being your guests?” laughed the silver-robed man.

Jin Xiao said expressionlessly, “We might well wind up fighting and killing each other in the end, but what’s the hurry?”

The silver-robed man said, “Tell me, then. Why would the Heaven-Trampling Chaos King invite us to his palace?”

“He wants to give you an opportunity to make an exchange,” said Jin Xiao.

An exchange? The silver-robed man mulled that over, then instinctively glanced at Su Yi.

“Let’s go have a look, then,” said Su Yi. He didn’t even pause to think.

The silver-robed man smiled. “Exactly what I had in mind.”

“This way, please!” Jin Xiao turned, then led Xuan E and Chang Liu away. He wasn’t the least bit afraid that his guests would fall behind.

“Let’s go,” said Su Yi. He put his jug away and beckoned to Liao Yuanshan and the others.

The silver-robed man seized the opportunity to walk over and laugh. “Fellow Daoist Su, how about we make a bet?”
