Chapter 2613 - Single-Handedly Bullying a Group!
Chapter 2613 – Single-Handedly Bullying a Group!
The clouds suddenly shattered, splitting into countless cottony wisps that shot in different directions and vanished in the blink of an eye.
The sky cracked, the fissures spreading like spiderwebs before the whole dome of heaven collapsed.
The grasses, trees, and boulders on the ground were instantly reduced to powder, and countless chasms tore open.
Signs of withering and devastation appeared all over the place, throughout heaven and earth. Everything happened silently and instantaneously.
All of this was the result of the music.
Only Returning Dragon Mountain still stood tall amidst the devastated landscape, not budging an inch.
Clang!
The sound of the zither was like the edge of a sword cleaving into the soul. It was full of incomparably tyrannical power, enough to snuff out even a Half-Step Eternal’s soul, or badly injure a False Eternal!
But when the playing reached Su Yi, it was like a gentle spring breeze blowing against the surface of a vast ocean. It couldn’t even stir up ripples.
“I’ll test him first!” As the zither music began, a tall, powerfully built old man shifted through the sky and swung his palm at Su Yi’s skull. His fingers were like knives, seemingly capable of tearing heaven asunder.
This attack was tyrannical beyond measure, but Su Yi just stood there, robes billowing around him as he gently pressed down.
Bang!!!
The tall, powerfully built old man was smacked to the ground like a ball, slammed ruthlessly into the dirt. A startling tear formed on his body on impact.
He just badly injured an Eternal’s avatar of will with a single palm strike!?
As clouds of dust and smoke permeated the air, the crowd’s expressions shifted, and they looked at Su Yi in confusion. All of them knew Su Yi’s background and accomplishments, and none of them had dared to underestimate him.
Or so they’d thought. When they saw this attack, they realized that, much to their astonishment…
Su Yi was far more dangerous than they’d realized!
“This…” The Angler’s eyes widened. This is a terrifying expert from the River of Destiny, yet Su Yi knocked his avatar of will to the ground in a single slap?
That’s just too much!
Wang Zhiwu, meanwhile, had grown accustomed to such things. The old man’s avatar was, at most, comparable to Huang Yun’s, yet he dared be the first to step forth. What is that, if not seeking out his own demise?
“Just attack together,” said Su Yi, walking over to the center of the battlefield. He faced the enemies surrounding him on all sides and said, “Fighting you one-on-one would feel like bullying you.”
As he spoke, he stamped his foot. The powerfully built old man he’d suppressed earlier had already been injured, with cracks all over his body, so he burst on impact, popping like a soap bubble.
His body scattered into a rain of light and vanished.
Su Yi had crushed an Eternal’s avatar of will beneath his feet!
Many of the onlookers were astonished.
Dao Venerate Lu Shi, however, wasn’t the least bit surprised. His brow merely furrowed with increased solemnity.
Yu Chiyang’s robes fluttered around him as his imposing aura soared.
The old-timers gathered here had fought countless bloody battles over the course of their lives. After seeing Su Yi’s last attack, they instantly realized the severity of the situation.
“Keep playing,” said Su Yi, as if there were no one else around. He looked at the short old man playing the zither and said, “Pause the music again, and I’ll kill you and have him play in your stead.”
As he spoke, he gestured to the Angler.
The short old man glowered, his eyes blazing with fury. He’d indeed been startled, resulting in a lull in his playing.
But he hadn’t anticipated that Su YI would threaten him over this!
Su Yi was acting like a drunken partier ordering a lowly musician to play for his amusement, all the while threatening him with decapitation if the music failed to satisfy.
The Angler stiffened, his heart full of anger and humiliation. He felt the same way as the old man!
He’s finally revealed his sharp edge. What a familiar feeling… Wang Zhiwu’s eyes shone with reminiscence. Su Yi now resembled the man he’d known so well back then.
But if anything, this actually made Wang Zhiwu feel calmer. The understated, unassuming way Su Yi had acted earlier only made him seem all the harder to read—and all the more dangerous!
“Everyone, attack together! Don’t let Fellow Daoist Su look down on us old-timers any longer!” said Lu Shi, his terrifying sword intent rumbling and booming.
“Sounds good to me!” Yu Chiyang raised his hand, his sleeves billowing as a silver spear appeared in his grip. His imposing aura connected heaven and earth.
Practically simultaneously, the other experts’ auras rose as they summoned all manner of treasures.
Kaboom!
Heaven and earth shook. The sky was plunged into chaos on all sides.
Dazzling divine radiance and Dao Light interwove, colorful and resplendent.
The ninety thousand miles around Returning Dragon Mountain shook violently. Apocalyptic visions arose throughout the affected area.
Clang!
The zither music resumed, like the sound of warfare, and the battle broke out once more.
More than thirty Eternals joined forces. They might just have been avatars of will, but together, they could have swept across the God Domain unimpeded!
Yet now, all of these experts had joined forces just to take down Su Yi!
It wasn’t a chaotic mess, either. Under Lu Shi and Yu Chiyang’s leadership, the two camps got in orderly formations and worked together to surround Su Yi.
The sight made Wang Zhiwu gasp. He didn’t even need to think to know that, had he been trapped like that, he’d have had no hope of victory whatsoever!
Meanwhile, Su Yi attacked, too. The Sword of Proximity appeared in his grip, clanging and humming, like a gale of wind blowing throughout the nine heavens.
He seemed as plain and unassuming as before, with no sign of a cultivation base, but when he took a step forward…
Boom!
The mountain trembled beneath his feet, and heaven and earth shook.
Indescribably terrifying sword force swept outward, like an invisible wall rising from the ground to block the attacks arriving from all sides.
But then, Su Yi thrust with the Sword of Proximity.
His movements seemed slow, but hundreds of thousands of feet away, a hole tore through an expert’s throat. His eyes bulged, and his jade ruler froze in midair.
Moments later, his figure shattered and collapsed, and the jade ruler fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Su Yi’s sword force collapsed. His enemies had broken through it!
But they were ultimately just one step too late. They couldn’t save their companion’s life.
It had all happened too quickly.
No one could have anticipated that, even when thoroughly surrounded, Su Yi would manage to kill someone with his first attack!
Su Yi, however, acted as if he’d swatted a mere fly. He just swung the Sword of Proximity and kept going.
Boom!
A tide of sword qi erupted, and the enemies’ encirclement broke. No matter what treasures or secret arts they used, that grand, imposing sword force blocked it all.
Within moments of launching his next attack, Su Yi had slain yet another enemy, a slender, beautiful woman wielding a scroll painting. Su Yi cleaved through the scroll first, then cut her in two.
As easily as if she were made of rotten wood!
All of this left the prominent experts of the River of Destiny both shocked and furious. They’d figured they’d had this in the bag, and they’d even been concerned about infighting or someone stealing the prey out of their mouths.
But now… they suddenly realized they’d gotten complacent!
This was no soft persimmon. He was so tough that trying to bite him might well shatter their teeth!
“Die!” someone roared, fighting as if his life were on the line.
Lu Shi, Yu Chiyang, and the others didn’t hesitate to go all out and use the cards they typically kept in reserve.
Kaboom!
The steep, towering slopes of Returning Dragon Mountain collapsed, scattering clouds of dust.
The dome of heaven caved in, the ground split, and the air was thrown into chaos.
The combatants took the battle into the sky, fighting with unparalleled intensity.
The little old man sat in the distant sky, his zither across his lamp as he played an impassioned hum. The music resounded throughout the nine heavens and the ten earths.
The Angler and the other Undying Realm experts had long since retreated further away, their hearts quivering and chills coursing down their spines.
This battle was just too terrifying. It overturned the firmament and sank the earth!
The Master Gods had historically been the strongest experts in the God Domain, but now, their hearts filled with astonishment and their hair stood on end just watching this battle.
Su Yi, meanwhile, remained calm and composed throughout this process. His gaze didn’t so much as ripple, and he showed no sign of a fierce or prideful aura. On the contrary, he looked like an ordinary mortal locked in combat with heavenly beings!
He was just that unassuming, without the barest hint of sharpness, but…
Every time he attacked, he managed to break through his enemies’ encirclement, crush the sky, and cut open a path to safety!
The greatest truths were often the simplest, and a heavy sword needed no edge.
Su Yi might have seemed like a mortal, but he seemed utterly unshakeable!
And his Dao of the Sword seemed invincible!
Bang!
Another expert’s treasure split into pieces, and his body burnt to ash.
Boom!
An expert tried to dodge, only to fall into a spatial rift and get swept away in a current of sword qi, his body sliced to bits as he shrieked in agony and despair.
“No——!” someone cried out in alarm and terror as their body burst like a watermelon beneath a hammer, scattering a rain of light.
…These bloody spectacles played out beneath the dome of heaven, again and again and again. Within moments, nine combatants had died brutal deaths!
Blood splattered the air, and screams shook the heavens.
The sound of the zither accompanied the chaos, carnage, and bloodshed, but the music was a bit out of whack. It was obvious that the musician’s heart was not at peace!
Dao Venerate Lu Shi’s brow furrowed. His expression darkened. It’s only been a few years since I fought Su Yi at the Tianxiu Sword Shrine, but he’s become far, far stronger!
He’s like a completely different person!
Even the weakest of the old-timers participating in the battle was comparable to a Half-Step Eternal, while the strongest could have suppressed the vast majority of False Eternals.
But against Su Yi, none of them were even worth looking at! How could Lu Shi not have been surprised?
“Die!” Yu Chiyang’s face was ashen as he led his followers and attacked like mad. They hadn’t anticipated that Su Yi had grown so unreasonably strong, either.
Boom!
Su Yi swung his sword through the air, cleaving through the enemies’ encirclement.
Where his sword pointed, another enemy fell, his avatar collapsing on the spot.
It was just too sharp, and too tyrannical.
Yet for some reason, Su Yi himself didn’t emanate any sign of an imposing aura. From a distance, he looked like an ordinary mortal swordsman cutting down heavenly beings from a higher plane.
It was a strange, ridiculous scene, and an extraordinarily unsettling one.
Wang Zhiwu watched it all from a distance, eyes wide and expression shifting erratically. All he could think was, When Su Yi fought Huang Yanleng’s avatar, he used just sixty percent of his strength.
How much is he using now?Eighty percent? Or perhaps… one hundred percent?
Even surrounded, he’s obviously capable of single-handedly bullying everyone else here!
