First Immortal of the Sword

Chapter 2621 - Su Yi’s Decree

Chapter 2621 – Su Yi’s Decree

It was twilight, but since the arrival of the Dark Days of Legend, the radiant, fiery sunsets old old had ceased to be.

Fortunately, the peach blossoms of Sunset Perch Island were far more beautiful than the sunset eve was.

Su Yi and Xi Ning strolled through the forest. He was dressed in blue, while she wore a plain white dress. They walked beneath the fiery canopy of peach blossoms like a pair of celestial lovers.

“Big Sister Xuanji was obviously just joking earlier. You needn’t take it to heart.” Xi Ning averted her gaze as she walked on a carpet of fallen petals. Her soft voice was barely audible.

Su Yi smiled. “No, I think she was right.”

“Hm?” Xi Ning was stunned. “Are you… serious?”

Su Yi smiled. “I’m a normal man. How could I not consider such things?”

Xi Ning stood there, instantly flustered, her beautiful face flushed red. She didn’t know what to say.

She’d always been tranquil, with an ethereal air about her, like an immortal maiden untainted by the smoke and fire of mundanity.

But now, Su Yi’s directness had clearly left her in a daze.

She looked so cute and dazed that Su Yi couldn’t help but laugh. “We’ve known each other for years, and we’ve been through a lot. It even seems likely that an unbroken bond existed between our past lives. It seems to me that our meeting was predestined. Don’t you agree?”

Xi Ning’s eyelashes fluttered, and her jade-like hands clutched her sleeves. She obviously wasn’t calm.

A little while passed before she said, “Isn’t this… a bit too sudden?”

“Not at all.” Su Yi quietly took Xi Ning’s jadelike hand. “Perhaps this isn’t the right time to discuss marriage, but one day, I’ll naturally prepare a splendid wedding for you. I’ll make sure the whole world knows that you’re my woman!”

He spoke with endless heroic spirit.

Waves coursed through Xi Ning’s heart. She’d originally planned to pull her hand away, but in the end, she let him keep holding it.

“Brother Su, you’ve really startled me today,” whispered Xi Ning. “My mind is buzzing, and my thoughts are in chaos. I don’t know what to do.”

Su Yi smiled and gently caressed Xi Ning’s soft, supple palm. “Give it time. You’ll get used to it.”

Xi Ning’s palm itched, and a strange feeling arose in her heart. Her tall, graceful figure tensed, and she almost dared not breathe too deeply.

This was her first time experiencing any such thing.

After a while, XI Ning said, “I’ve always been afraid of one day becoming someone else entirely. You… really don’t mind?”

Su Yi understood what she was worried about.

Xi Ning had a mysterious mark within her body. It belonged to Su Wanjun, Xi Jing’s past life!

When Su Yi entered Xi Ning’s dreams, he spoke with Su Wanjun. He naturally knew that both her mannerisms and her personality were different from Xi Ning in numerous ways.

There was no doubt about it. Xi Ning was worried she’d become another Su Wanjun!

But Su Yi wasn’t at all worried about that.

He turned to look at her, then said solemnly, “On Sunset Perch Island, some call me Brother Fuyou, while others call me Brother Daoxuan. I had other past lives in the Immortal and Human Realms, too. Tell me, then. Who am I?”

Xi Ning froze, then fell silent.

Su Yi didn’t wait for a response. He just said, “I’m me. My past lives are, ultimately, just that. Fusing with them might share their experiences and change my view of things. It might even change my perception of the Grand Dao. However… My Dao Heart will not change, and I naturally will not become any of my past selves.”

Su Yi drew his finger through the air. “It’s like my past selves are different streams, while I… am the ocean. I can encompass them all!”

Xi Ning’s eyes lit up, and she sank into thought.

She stood silently beneath the trees, even more beautiful than the peach blossoms. Her black hair billowed in the flower-scented breeze.

Xi Ning wasn’t the most dazzlingly charming of the women Su Yi had seen, but she was absolutely a picturesque beauty. Moreover, after visiting her dreams, how could Su Yi not know how incredible the figure hidden beneath those plain clothes really was?

The thought of that “slender branch so laden with fruit” made Su Yi’s heart shake.

Xi Ning was now close at hand. As Su Yi took her soft, smooth hand in his his, he lost control, pulling into his arms, then going in for the kiss.

Xi Ning stiffened, her eyes wide and her mind blank. Shockingly, she forgot to struggle.

In the distance, the waves lapped against the shore, and the winds blew through the forest of peach trees. A rain of petals fell to the ground, like a dream or illusion.

Deep within the forest of peach trees, a man and woman were intertwined like vines.

An unknown amount of time passed.

Xi Ning suddenly flailed like a drowning fish, pushing Su Yi away and clutching her chest as she gasped for breath. Her bright, starry eyes were charming and bashful.

“You’re terrible!” Xi Ning glared at Su Yi. He’d held her so tight and with such force that she could barely breathe, and her legs could barely keep her upright.

Her whole body felt a bit shaky and weak.

Most infuriating of all, his hands weren’t behaving themselves, either. They were like restless worms, relentlessly pushing toward her most embarrassing, private places!

Su Yi took a deep breath, discreetly suppressing his “spear”, as well as the desire building in his chest and on the brink of exploding.

“When two hearts delight in each other, who can hold back?” laughed Su Yi.

He noticed that her soft lips were a bit swollen, but that just made them seem all the redder and fuller. She was like a ripe peach hanging from the tree. Anyone who saw her would want to take a bite out of her.

Xi Ning glared at him. “I wouldn’t have thought you had such a smooth tongue.”

“See that? That’s called ‘experience leading to knowledge,’” Su Yi said with a laugh. “If I hadn’t lost control today, how could you possibly have learned of my ‘smooth tongue?’”

Xi Ning clucked her tongue, her face reddening.

Su Yi saw that enough was enough and reigned it in. He could tell that he’d pushed Xi Ning to her limit, and that pushing further would only backfire.

“Once we’ve gotten married, you’ll discover my other gifts,” said Su Yi. He took a sip of wine. “Or rather, my other endowments.”

“G-gifts? Endowments?” Xi Ning was stunned. A moment later, she seemed to realize something. She gnashed her teeth and said in a huff, “Appearances really are deceiving. I had no idea that you were this shameless!”

With that, she turned and practically fled the peach grove.

Su Yi was still smiling. He could tell at a glance whether a woman was really angry or just putting on a show.

Xi Ning wasn’t angry. She was just bashful.

And a beauty’s bashful anger had its own extraordinary, amorous charms.

Su Yi had always admired feminine beauty. Even angry or pouting, their inadvertent charms stirred his heart like nothing else could.

Su Yi stood there for a little while before reaching a decision. One day… I’ve got to make her my wife!

……

Ten days later.

Perhaps because of the enormous impact of the battle on Returning Dragon Mountain, or perhaps because the Myriad Daos and New World Alliances still hadn’t responded to it, an unnatural stillness has descended over the entire God Domain.

Many people found this strange. “The two alliances suffered such a heavy blow. They’re seriously just tolerating it?”

They’d predicted that the two alliances would seek bloody revenge after this crushing defeat.

Otherwise, they’d seem far too inept, and they’d become the world’s laughingstocks. Silence would deal an incomparably heavy blow to their prestige.

But two weeks had passed, and there’d been no response from either alliance. They hadn’t even made any public announcements. Who wouldn’t have found this strange?

“Perhaps they’re afraid! Sword Venerate Su’s display of strength on Returning Dragon Mountain was just too terrifying. If the two alliances were capable of defeating him, how could they possibly just hold their noses and endure?”

“It’s fair to say that Sword Venerate Su is the strongest in the God Domain! His sword can suppress the chaos of the Dark Days of Legend. There’s no one else like him!”

Similar conversations circulated throughout the God Domain.

The vast majority of cultivation factions could sense the brewing storm!

“Just wait. The two alliances are surely planning revenge against Sword Venerate Su!”

“The more time passes, the more terrifying they’ll become. When the storm breaks out, it’ll shake the entire God Domain!”

Countless people were waiting. Some even guessed that, after the storm broke out, the God Domain’s balance of power would transform completely!

It was for this reason that the world’s top factions were paying close attention to the brewing storm. That meant a temporary lull in which everything was far calmer than before.

But no one could have guessed that it would be Su Yi, not the two alliances, who’d begin the storm.

He issued his decree through the Qilin Trading Company.

Su Yi, representing himself and only himself, declared war against both the New World and the Myriad Daos Alliances!

He set the time for three days after his announcement.

They’d fight in the Southern Flame Divine Continent’s Windswept Mountain!
