GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2288: Domination Pathways.

Chapter 2288: Domination Pathways.

Even if they need to find two more travelers to eat, they are sure that they will be able to do so because they have the tools needed to create more epic travelers.

Their current traveler only has three souls. That means he can’t be stuffed with another pathway and has to be replaced.

Before they replace him, they plan to drink his blood and eat his flesh while he is still alive. This will help them meet the advancement requirement for the pathway of killing and the pathway of undying.

Then, after killing the traveler, they can use his rank 4 divine flesh to create another traveler. If they can’t find an epic traveler to eat, they can always create more trackers.

In the meantime, they will drink the blood of their other slaves, who are limited to one pathway. This means that their traveler, knight, assassin, and rule breaker will be useful in death just like their illusionist will be.

Their fate weaver, giant, thief, and walker will have the privilege to remain alive and serve them well with their potential to have two pathways.

This is convenient for them because their fate weaver has been preparing a curse for more than one month now. It would be a shame if all her hard work would go to waste because she had to die.

But even if she had to die, it would only be because her death would make Legion stronger. This goes to show that no matter how useless their slaves are, Legion will always find a use for them. This is a quality that they pride themselves on.

They also pride themselves on being efficient and hardworking, which is why, after being proud of themselves for a while, they shifted their focus to the advancement requirements of the pathway of slavery and the pathway of the telepath.

For the pathway of slavery, they need to eat the flesh of dominators. Dominators are godclads who are on the pathway with divine abilities capable of rendering the divine abilities of other pathways useless.

The pathways that count as the pathway of domination are basically pathways with divine abilities that render other godclads powerless temporarily or permanently. These divine abilities can be found in judges, nobles, seers, rule breakers, and thieves.

Judges have the Rank 1 Shackles and Rank 4 Equalizer. Shackles is a divine ability that manifests a physical restraint that prevents a target from moving, while Equalizer reduces the power of an enemy to that of the level of the judge, if only briefly.

The Equalizer divine ability not only weakens the power of divine abilities, it also weakens the strength of the target’s physique. It is truly a debilitating divine ability.

This effect can be activated on a rank 9 being, but it won’t last long. The effect might only be for a split part of a second, but during that time, a rank 6 judge can hurt a rank 9 godclad.

Thanks to the rank 6 divine ability of the pathway of judges, judges can fight legends as rank 6 epic godclads. It also means that judges are a good target to eat in order to meet the advancement requirement for rank 6 of the pathway of slavery.

Nobles are also a target. This is because they have the rank 1 divine ability called Noble Suppression and the rank 3 divine ability called Setting Rules.

Seers have the rank 3 divine ability called Sight Steal, while Rule Breakers have the rank 3 divine ability called Affliction and the rank 5 divine ability called Disable.

Seers can block the sight of people or make people become dizzy by making their vision flip and rotate randomly through the Sight Steal divine ability. This makes them a dominator in a way, even though they only dominate sight.

Rules Breakers apply a general debuff and weakness on people using the Affliction divine ability. They can put this effect on anyone within their sight. But they will need to touch a target in order to apply the Disable divine ability on them.

The Disable divine ability disables divine ability. It doesn’t work on reducing the reducing power. It will make a divine ability unable to be used for a period of time.

Unfortunately, the Disable divine ability requires physical contact, which is dangerous. However, this danger can be mitigated with the use of rank 1 Lie divine ability, rank 2 Confusion divine ability, rank 3 Affliction divine ability, and the rank 4 Face Changer daily divine ability.

The last in the category of dominators are thieves. Thieves qualify because of their rank 4 divine ability called Stealing Abilities. With this divine ability, not only can they prevent a target from using a divine ability, but they can also use the divine ability against them.

Of these five pathways, only the last three pathways can be touched. Judges and nobles are off-limits if they don’t want trouble.

They have a rule breaker and a thief as slaves, so they are not without options. Unfortunately, their thief has the potential to have two pathways, so they can’t eat him now. They can only eat the rule breaker.

Lastly is the advancement requirement for the pathway of the telepath. This requires them to fight and kill psychic shriekers.

They don’t need to find and eat someone, which should have made this advancement requirement easy, but that is not exactly the case. This advancement requirement is difficult because psychic shriekers don’t inhabit the physical dimension.

Psychic shriekers usually reside in the spiritual dimension. So if they are to be found, Legion will have to go looking for them in the spiritual dimension.

Psychic shriekers are also social creatures that live and move around in large groups like herds. Their groups can contain up to a thousand individuals.

To top things off, psychic shriekers are powerful. They are weak physically, but they have a powerful mental attack that ranges between rank 4 for their young and rank 7 for their adults.
