There was also their time to preserve. So they sought to end her suffering quickly and save themselves on time.

She herself wasn’t counting on her enemy giving her some time to recover her strength, which was why the first thing that she did as soon as her true body appeared was to run for her life.

Unfortunately, even escaping was too late because Legion had already arrived beside her. They had used their immensely powerful body to run and keep up with the fast-moving worms.

If it were a normal demigod slave master that was pursuing her scattered worms, they would have fallen behind and allowed her to escape. So it was her bad luck for encountering someone like them.

Legion came in their human form. They didn’t liberate their divine form, so they are in their weakest state. Yet, she still felt immense danger from them.

The danger she felt wasn’t through any divine ability. After all, she had lost access to all of her divine abilities.

The danger she felt was simply because Legion had the same amount of spiritual power as her. That meant that he was an angel.

This made her sigh and say, “So that’s how you were able to find me so quickly. It seems my time has truly come.”

She had planned to resist or at least bargain for her life. But after she realized the level of danger she was in, she quickly gave up.

Legion didn’t talk to her. They had already given her enough respect by deactivating their Invisibility Shield divine ability, so they didn’t waste time talking and just crushed her body with the palm of their hand.

To be honest, they didn’t deactivate the Invisibility Shield divine ability just because of her. They deactivated it to conserve energy because they might need it soon.

Even though her body was at the angel level, Legion was still able to crush it with one hand. They flattened her body into meat paste while they used the Mind Domination divine ability to loot her mind of her memories.

They could have subdued her and were tempted to do so. There were many ways to make them useful to them alive.

They had their new Rank 9 Gestalt Mind divine ability and even the divine abilities of the pathway of slavery that would have made her very useful for them. And by enslaving her, they would get to keep her slaves.

Unfortunately, they gave up on all of these things because she would bring them a lot of trouble alive. She had offended a lot of people that would transfer their hatred to Legion.

Many of her enemies have given up on killing since she became an angel and became too difficult to kill. But now that she had become a demigod, she had become killable again.

Plus there was this particularly strong enemy that was still willing to go through the tedious work to kill her even though she was an angel. That powerful enemy was the church of justice.

In the future, the church of justice would attack the Hydra Kingdom. Legion didn’t want any part in this problem, so they decided to eliminate her completely and leave while they still could.

After killing her, they got the divine flesh that they wanted. It was a piece of green, thick, stringy meat that looked as if it had been woven into existence.

They swallowed this rank 9 divine flesh and began to assimilate it. The process went smoothly, and they became angels of slavery.

Once they became an angel of slavery, the nine divine flesh of the pathway of slavery in their body used their phantom divine beast form to materialize into nine avatars.

This process consumed a lot of spiritual energy. It was unlike that of the pathway of telepathy, which consumed the minds of nine demigods to create their avatars.

Despite this difference in how the avatars came into existence, the avatars still didn’t rebel against Legion. They willingly returned to their body and merged with it instead of fighting Legion and trying to enslave Legion.

This turned Legion into a complete angel of slavery without the need to be enslaved by the divine flesh. So they now have divine power and the new rank 9 divine ability called Web of Control.

Unlike the Gesalt Mind divine ability, which Legion hasn’t had need for yet, Legion had a need for this new rank 9 divine ability and immediately used it.

When the Web of Control divine ability was used, their divine form was released. This made them transform into a large ball of worms.

The large ball of worms didn’t exist for long. It soon broke apart and scattered in various destinations.

The scattered worms were going in the direction of every slave they had. They moved at a speed that was at the limit of the mortal ranks, so even normal angels wouldn’t be able to keep up with them.

Only special angels like them who enhanced their power through various means or travelers who are innately fast could keep up with the scattered worms.

The speed they were moving at was infinitely slow compared to the instantaneous movement of traveling through the Mindscape, but it was fast enough, and the distance they had to move was just within a kingdom, so they would be able to reach their destination in a few minutes.

Once the scattered worms reached their destination, they burrowed into the bodies of the slaves and embedded themselves into every aspect of the slave by producing a spiritual web that spread throughout the bodies of the slaves.

This process gave Legion complete and total control of the slaves. The control was so intricate that the slaves turned into their clones.

These clones weren’t bodies that they puppeted to do their bidding. Their slaves have actually become part of their bodies. So they have become one entity with many bodies. All of their slaves will have to be killed before they can die permanently.
