Chapter 2503: Seek Help.

Legion-4 said, “I would rather just kill a Godlings than jump through to many hoops in order to impress the Authority of the pathway of slavery.”

The angel of knowledge scoffed and said, “You? Kill a godling? You’re an angel of slavery with some progress in the pathway of undying. I doubt you could even kill an angel of any other pathway. After all, you’ve traded your divine power in for survivability.”

Legion-4’s eyes twitched as he became irritated. His irritation showed in his raised tone or voice as he asked, “If I can’t kill an angel, then how am I supposed to enslave a godling?”

The angel of knowledge chuckled and said, “Again, what you choose to do and how you do it is your business. I’m just here to tell you your choices.”

It was clear that he was enjoying Legion-4’s troubling situation. But he didn’t let his amusement get in the way of his job. He still went ahead to tell Legion the information that they paid for.

He said, “The solution is for you to seek the help of another godling or god to help you enslave a godling. This is also related to your second option.”

“The second way you can enslave an angel is to have the god of the pathway of the angel you enslave help you keep the rank of that angel from falling. As long as the god of the pathway can help you enslave their angel, then you won’t have any problem.”

The more Legion-4 heard, the angrier he became. He was angry because even though he had acquired a lot of information, none of what he learned could be useful to Legion currently.

But no matter how angry he was, he couldn’t direct it at the angel of knowledge. This was because the angel of knowledge had gone above and beyond the minimum requirements for information.

Thanks to the angel of knowledge, even though they still don’t have a feasible solution, they have gained a better idea of their current situation. At least they now know who their enemies and possible allies are.

And even if they still want to be angry at the angel of knowledge despite all of his help, their anger won’t be of any use because they can’t do anything to the angel of knowledge.

So they said, “Nice doing business with you.”

Then they stood up to leave.

But before they could leave, the first angel said to them, “I have a tip for you that might be helpful. It concerns the weakness of the gods. If you know this, it might help you compel a god to assist you in your endeavors.”

This piqued Legion-4’s interest. He looked at the angel of knowledge and asked, “So what is the weakness of gods?”

The angel of knowledge smiled and said, “Don’t be like that. You know how this goes. You give me information and I give you what you want to know.”

Legion didn’t have the intention to take this deal at all. They really wanted to know what the weakness of the gods could be, but they were not willing to drop any more information.

It can be considered random luck that they had one useful information. It can also be considered a coincidence that they had two useful pieces of information. But if they have three very valuable pieces of information, it will prove beyond doubt that they are full of valuable information.

If it is proven that they have a lot of valuable information, then it might become worth it to break the rules of the white tower in order to capture him and devour his mind.

The angel of knowledge has already hinted at his willingness to do something like that earlier. Legion-4 doesn’t know if he can truly do something like that, but he is not willing to tempt the angel of knowledge and the god of knowledge anymore.

So instead of accepting the deal, he racked his mind for information that might be considered the weakness of gods. This didn’t take him a long time. He was able to come up with a possible weakness of the gods very quickly.

Once he came up with a possible weakness, he asked, “Is the weakness the source of faith and the believers of the gods?”

He had asked that question in order to use the angel of knowledge’s reaction to it to confirm if he was correct or not. Unfortunately for him, the first angel didn’t react to the question at all. The angel only smiled at him.

The smile on the angel’s face was similar to the one he had when the angel had tried to get free knowledge from him. Now that his own smile was being given back to him, he finally understood why the angel of knowledge was frustrated by that smile.

He said, “You know what? You’re right. I wish I could crack your mind open and devour it.”

With that said, he used the Identify Information divine ability on the man. What he saw was a series of question marks.

Apparently, there was nothing to identify about the man. In fact, the man might not even be in the room with him but only appear to be.

This made Legion-4 frustrated. He rose up from his seat quickly and left the room even quicker.

The angel called out to him, “Are you sure you don’t want to know the weakness of gods? You will be missing out on a lot if you don’t know.”

But Legion-4 didn’t stop. He left the room and flew out of the white tower as quickly as possible without looking back.

After Legion left, the angel of knowledge stopped smiling. His face became solemn and serious.

He said, “What a shame. I should have tried to hook him with something better.”

He didn’t like that he had lost a customer. But he didn’t dwell too much on it because he had more important and more pleasant matters to deal with.
