Chapter 2623: Run Back Ultimate Ability.

The Run Back ultimate ability is a very special ability in that it allows the god of travelers to run through time, not space.

Unlike the god of history, who can only use his authority to send information back to the past, the god of travelers can actually go back in time. Everyone can run forward in time, but only the god of travelers can run backward in time.

When the Run Back ultimate ability was activated, the whole world froze and turned misty. Then the god of travelers turned back and began running back the way he came.

As the god of travelers began to move, the world began to move again. But the progression of the world was backwards. The world was regressing around him, and it was doing so very quickly. This made the misty world look like a river around him.

To the god of travelers, he was traveling upstream along a river to its source. As he ran, everything he had just done flashed by him, and the fire from the Eyes of Fire fell back before him.

It looked as if he was chasing the fire of the Eyes of Fire away. This was weird enough, but perhaps the weirdest thing was that he wasn’t the only one in this river. There were some other entities that were aware of what was going on and trying to resist it.

To these people, it was as if the world was flowing backwards around them and pulling them along with it. Some people went along with the dragging force without being aware of it, while some were not only aware of the situation, but were also actively resisting the pulling force.

One of the people who was trying to resist the force dragging them was the god of crime and error. The god of crime and error had deployed the Disable divine ability and the Chaos domain divine ability to resist.

The Disable divine ability reduced the power of the pulling force on him, while the Chaos domain divine ability turned everything around him upside down and further scattered the force pulling him.

This was able to slow him down, but it wasn’t enough to stop him from being dragged. As long as the god of travelers continues to run, the force dragging him will continue to pull him backwards and will only become stronger, not weaker.

So the god of crime deployed the Sword of Man and used its connection to his many believers as anchors to slow down the speed at which he was being dragged. Unfortunately for him, this still wasn’t enough.

This made him roar in frustration, “I will get you next time.”

To this, the god of travelers smirked and said, “There won’t be a next time. I’ll make sure of it.”

The god of crime was truly full of regret. If he had known that the god of travelers was capable of such a feat, he would have waited until he formed his supreme law before he went after the god of travelers.

Unfortunately for him, it is too late for regret now. The worst part is that the god of travelers has made up his mind to go farther into the past before the god of crime killed the god of justice, and stop the god of crime from succeeding.

If possible, the god of travelers will go even further back. He wants to make sure to target the god of crime very early on.

He has always avoided the god of crime because of the Betrayal ultimate ability. Once that ultimate ability is used on him, he won’t be able to escape and will surely die.

Since the god of crime became a god before him, he can’t go back in time before the god of crime became a god and gained the Betrayal ultimate ability to kill the god of crime. So he can only avoid the god of crime while trying to become a supreme god as soon as possible.

But this time, he wants to sabotage the god of crime’s plan so that he will have more time to deal with the god of knowledge and become a supreme god.

The resistance of the god of crime to the force of the Run Back ultimate ability is making things difficult for him and consuming his energy, but he is sure that he will be able to make it back before the death of the god of justice safely.

Another person who was aware of the situation was the god of knowledge. But the god of knowledge wasn’t resisting.

The god of knowledge looked at the world moving backwards around him and said with a smile, “Interesting. It is unfortunate that I am very weak right now.”

He didn’t bother to resist because he knew that he was too weak to successfully resist. After all, he had just fought the god of history and many other gods.

So instead of wasting his time resisting, he gave up resisting and focused on analyzing and learning what’s going on. He didn’t even bother with the god of history, who was escaping.

The god of history was also aware of the rewind of time and could resist. This isn’t special, actually. Almost every high god can sense the rewind of time and can resist it to some extent.

High gods are special because they have fused completely with their pathway and can use their authority to resist the backwards flow of time. But the god of history is special because he is the only one who can successfully resist it.

As the god of history, he possesses the authority of the pathway of history called the River of History. This helps him to take advantage of the backwards flow of time to send a message to the past.

In fact, the force pulling him backwards is only making it easier for his ultimate ability, Shout to the Past, to work. So while this situation might be bad for other gods, it is very good for him.
