Yu Qianian stared at the hammer and the wooden nails in her hands and silently sobbed. If only she knew, she would have never gambled. Forget about gambling, she would have never even thought of doing such a terrible thing.

“What are you staring at?” Yu Dong looked at Yu Qianian who was not working. She pointed the axe in her hands at Yu Qianian and said to her, “You better continue working and don’t even think of slacking off.”

“I am not slacking!” Yu Qianian felt like crying, compared to Yu Dong this tyrant, the loan sharks now looked like angels.

When the rest of Yu Sa’s family saw how strict Yu Dong was being with Yu Qianian, they knew that it was impossible for them to even think of escaping work.

They all sighed and turned to stare at the work in their hands.

The Yu family continued to hammer and saw the wooden plank as they made long and large wooden containers that were then filled with special manure and fertilizers that Yu Dong had made.

Yu Dong then poured the spores that she had developed into the containers and sprinkled spiritual water inside them.

“Keep a strict guard on these containers,” she told Mammy Lin, who was left in charge of guarding the mushroom farm. “Make sure that no one disturbs these things.”

The mushroom spores that she had created from dried mushrooms were rather delicate and small. They couldn’t be compared to the spores that were scientifically created. Even the smallest mistake could cause the harvest of the mushrooms to be affected.

“Yes!” Mammy Lin obliged with the order that was given to her at once.

Yu Dong patted Mammy Lin on the shoulders before turning to look at Yu Sa’s family. They were lying on the ground with their arms shaking and trembling. Seeing them like this, Yu Dong was so amused that she couldn’t help but say,

“Don’t be like that now. I will send a lamb leg to you guys for working so hard today.”

Immediately, Yu Sa and her family stood up straight. Lamb’s leg? If this work was going to let them eat a whole lamb leg, then they were willing to work hard even more!

“Are you really going to give us lamb leg,” Yu Yongsa asked with a careful expression. She did not know why Yu Dong was treating them so well. Even though they came to take advantage of her, Yu Dong treated them quite nicely.

“Yes, as long as you work hard and don’t resort to twisted means, you will be rewarded,” Yu Dong calmly replied. She did not care about the things that were going on in Yu Qianian or Yu Yongsa’s head.

She only needed someone to work for her at a decent price and Yu Sa’s family was rather easy to control and manipulate.

All they needed was a little money and some meat and they would work hard. Even if they complained a little, it was better than those who acted smart with her.

The Yu family returned home after finishing their work.

They were not the only ones, the rest of the villagers also returned to their homes. However, late at night, when there was no light in the village and only the sound of crickets could be heard a figure walked out from behind the chicken coop.

The figure was holding a small bag which held a bunch of things inside of it. The figure was using the moonlight to walk on the uneven path of the village that was not used by the villagers before running into his accomplice who was waiting for him outside Bo and Bun’s strawberry fields.

These fields were covered with gigantic greenhouses.

Because the strawberries and blueberries sold rather well, these fields could be said to be growing gold on them. Yu Dong hired six sturdy mammies to keep an eye on these fields lest someone made trouble when her husbands and she were busy.

Every section of the greenhouse was illuminated by torches that were scattered all over the field.

The torches burned fiercely and illuminated the path that led to the greenhouse. But the two figures did not go to the greenhouse through these paths, instead, they headed to the back where they crossed a road.

The two figures came to a stop next to the small steep hill that was behind the greenhouses. This small steep hill was covered by thorny bushes, Yu Dong had grown them to stop people from climbing up the steep hill and causing trouble.

The hill was not too high, it was only a few feet. However, the thorny bushes were troublesome, it was rather dangerous to cross that too at night.

The two figures stood at the end of the hill before one of them urged the other one to climb up.

The other figure hesitated but then gritted her teeth and climbed up the hill.

“Ouch!” The figure gasped in pain when the thorny bushes pierced her skin.

However, she soon covered her mouth and continued to climb while ignoring the stabbing pain on her skin.

Soon, she braved the path that no one could have.

Once she arrived at the back of the greenhouse, the woman poured a liquid on the ground and then threw some weeds on the floor. With a terrifying smile, the woman lit a matchstick and then threw at the liquid, which soon caught fire.

Xiao Hua was returning from the town as there was a mer who was holding a banquet, it took him quite a lot of time to shake off the excited and drunk mers.

His carriage, which was given to him by Yu Dong passed by the greenhouse when his gaze fell on the orangish glow. His eyes widened as he stood up and then pushed his head out of the window before realising what was happening.

“Someone come! The strawberry fields are on fire! The fire has already started!”
