Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1871 - 1871: Covered in scars

Time passed by like flowing water, and soon six months passed by in a blink of an eye.

“Your majesty, someone from Princess Zhenya’s faction has come to meet you,” a servant rushed to the chambers of the empress of the Ying desert. When the woman heard the words of the servant, she raised her head and threw the desert’s fruit that she was eating to one side and stood up straight. “Who came here?”

The servant knelt on the ground and replied in a calm voice, “Its a woman; she says that she is here under the orders of Princess Zhenya.”

When Empress Xu heard the words of the servant, she was still a bit hesitant as she did not believe that Xien Zhenya, who was fighting a bloody battle, would send someone to her court. But she still wanted to see this new guest as she was worried about her dear friend.

There was a time when she reached out to Xien Zhenya and wanted to join hands with her but before their relationship could strengthen, she was attacked by her sister and had to go on a run.

And since she supported Xien Zhenya compared to a fool like Xien Xieren, she closed the gates of the Ying city because she didn’t wish to meet with anyone from the Imperial capital.

“Bring her here,” Empress Xu agreed to meet with the new guest which caused many of the officials to raise their objections.

“Your majesty, this could be a trap.”

“This might be a ploy by the royals of the imperial city, they must be trying to assassinate you, your majesty.”

“Your majesty, this must be a hideous scheme by that woman —”

“You mean to say that she sent an assassin who knocked on our door and disclosed her presence and even came to us and told us where she came from? She looks quite a novice in the field of assassination, don’t you think?” Empress Wu remarked out of boredom as she leaned her face on the back of her fist, which was resting on the armrest of the throne.

Her words caused the officials to turn silent as they looked at one another. They wanted to say something to refute the empress but they had to admit that what the empress did made sense. What kind of assassin would come to their door and announce their presence before assassinating someone?

Wouldn’t they already be on their guard?

Soon the woman who came to their Ying city was escorted inside the royal court. As soon as she arrived, the woman knelt in front of Empress Xu and announced, “Greetings, your majesty, I am Xu Songtan. I came here under the orders of her highness, Princess Zhenya.”

As she spoke, she took out a letter that she had brought with her.

Empress Xu looked at the mammy next to her, who rushed down the stairs and brought the letter up to where she was sitting. Once the letter was in her hands, Empress Xu took a look at it and her lips curled up in a gleeful smile.

“So it seems like your princess actually got her hands on how to make Blue Lily?” Empress Xu remarked and her casual remark left the entire court to bubble with excitement.

Blue Lily, this fabric was something that had been the desire of countless officials. After all, its finesse was something that left many enthralled.

In the past, this fabric was quite a sensation but then the creator died and his successors, even with the techniques, could not recreate it and even if they tried their best to mimic the old glory, they couldn’t do it and soon the copies of the fabric became more and more rotten before its craze completely stopped.

It was quite a surprise that Princess Zhenya was able to come up with a way to recreate this thing.

“Bring me the fabric,” Empress Xu commanded and Xu Songtan lowered her head before standing up and walking to the guard who came with her. From the hands of the guards, she picked up the wooden box that she had brought with her and then stopped at a safe distance before opening the box and showing the contents to Empress Xu.

It was a shimmering midnight fabric that glowed under the glow of the burning torches. The sheen was enough to enchant everyone in the court but it wasn’t the appearance of the fabric itself that attracted their attention; it was the scent of lilies that flooded out of the fabric.

It was rumoured that the perfect Blue Lily fabric could actually carry the scent of lilies for more than eighty years and this was what made it special!

Other than the fact that it was so strong that it could withstand three sword attacks.

Empress Xu’s eyes shone with admiration when she looked at the fabric. Even though she was sitting on top of the throne, which was quite a distance away from the woman who was holding the fabric, she had to admit that this was truly the real deal. After all, when she was young, she had seen her grandmother wear it and ever since then she had admired this fabric. Unfortunately, she never got the chance to wear it.

She turned to look at the mammy beside her and nodded. Seeing her look, the mammy climbed down the stairs once again.

The fabric was brought over to her and Empress Xu studied it closely. Her eyes shone brighter and brighter before she raised her head and asked the woman, “Your princess’s words, do they really count? If we send her 500,000 soldiers, will she really join hands with Ying Desert to create this fabric?”

“Her highness has never made empty promises; since she had promised her majesty, naturally she will adhere to it,” said Xu Songtan.

Her words tickled Empress Xu, who slapped the armrest and ordered in a booming voice, “Carry out our orders!”

As soon as she spoke, the officials all knelt down collectively.

“As Princess Zhenya has shown great trust in Ying desert, we will naturally respond to her trust. Go and arrange for 500,000 soldiers who shall join forces with Princess Zhenya.”

She then turned to look at woman on the ground and stated, “Tell your princess that we wish her good luck and a great victory.”
