Chapter 1940 - 1936: Spatial Folding
Chapter 1940: Chapter 1936: Spatial Folding
Everyone was dancing wildly to the extremely explosive music.
Many people were bleeding from their noses and mouths from the intensity of the dance, yet they continued to sway their bodies tirelessly.
Under these circumstances, wisps of black energy drifted out from their bodies, converging above the hall to form a layer of heart-palpitating black fog.
The entire hall was immersed in an atmosphere so decadent it was beyond redemption; hell, after all, was just like this.
The young man following Xue An slowly became dazed, clearly having his mind invaded by the atmosphere.
Xue An’s eyes flashed, and he transmitted a Divine Sense to the young man.
The young man’s eyes instantly cleared up, then he turned pale with fright at the sight before him.
Because those frantically dancing in the hall were not humans, but rather a crowd of monstrous creatures.
Take for example a woman closest to them, who previously appeared to be a voluptuous hottie, but now looked like a monster covered in eyes staring at them with an extremely sinister gaze.
Not only her, but the entire hall was filled with these unspeakable horrors.
The young man’s legs instantly weakened, and his vision turned black as if a silver needle was frantically stirring his brain, causing him intense pain.
Just then, Xue An said calmly, "Close your eyes, don’t look at them, don’t try to understand them, or you’ll go mad!"
Hearing this, the young man quickly closed his eyes, trying hard to calm his mind, and the intense pain finally lessened significantly.
"Stay here; with my Divine Sense protecting you, they won’t be able to harm you."
Having said that, Xue An stepped forward and walked into the bar’s interior.
Upon hearing this, the young man almost cried.
Leaving him here just like that? To face a hall full of monsters!
But he dared not open his eyes, only trying with all his might not to think about those things, silently praying in his heart.
Endurance, all for revenge!
Just then, he sensed the music from outside suddenly stop, and everything became silent in an instant.
But this silence was full of ominous signs.
The young man’s heart clenched into a tight knot.
At the same time, he felt a slippery, cold sensation on his neck, as if a snake was crawling on him.
His body immediately stiffened, and a seductive voice whispered in his ear.
"Such a handsome young fellow, hmm, why not open your eyes and see me?"
With the voice, he felt an unseen force compelling him to open his eyes.
He was terrified out of his wits.
"What? The young fellow won’t open his eyes? I’m really beautiful, you know!" The female voice said coyly, seemingly full of grievance.
He felt his whole body being controlled, and a hint of light seemed to appear before his eyes.
In a panic, he shouted, "Get lost!"
With that shout, a mighty Divine Sense swept across instantly.
"No!" A short, terrified scream followed by a return to calm.
The young man gasped heavily; even though the air was thick with the smell of blood, he couldn’t care less. After a while, he panted and angrily cursed.
"Damn it, how dare you deceive me? With the way you look, you dare call yourself beautiful?"
Xue An, who was stepping up to the second floor of the bar, seemed to sense it, but didn’t turn back, only the corners of his mouth showing a faint smile, then continued to step forward.
The staircase between the first and second floors of the bar was short, but normally, it would take only a minute for an ordinary person to climb.
However, Xue An had been walking for three minutes and was still only halfway.
Moreover, with each step onto a stair, the stairs ahead extended, and despite Xue An speeding up, even rushing forward as fast as light, the stairs remained unchanged.
The remaining half of the stairs seemed endless.
Xue An slightly raised an eyebrow and coldly said, "Spatial Folding? Then I’ll crumble your space!"
With that, Xue An stepped forcefully.
Boom!
Enormous power pressed down overwhelmingly.
With a crunch, cracks appeared on the stairs, and a faint scream echoed from the void as a foul, bloody stench seeped out from the cracks.
But the previous anomaly had vanished, and Xue An stepped out, ascending to the second floor of the bar.
Though it was only a stairwell, the moment one reached the second floor, it felt like passing through a door, with the scene before them entirely different from the floor below.
Red!
Everywhere, whether walls or floors, was blood-red!
And within the redness, faint blue-black veins pulsed.
It felt like... animal innards.
Indeed!
The entire second floor was filled with this scene, and even the air was thick with a nauseating, rancid stench.
Xue An, unfazed, as if expecting this, said coolly.
"I’ve come all the way here, and you still refuse to show yourself? Or must I spill some blood before you’ll emerge?"
With those words, the walls and floors ahead suddenly began to surge, gradually converging to form a towering creature entirely blood-red and having a triangular head.
Its triangular eyes slowly opened, containing malice and evil enough to drive weaker minds insane.
But Xue An didn’t blink, saying calmly, "Were you the one distributing those chips?"
The Triangular Monster coldly watched Xue An and replied in an eerie, raspy tone, "Human Clan strongperson, this place is not where you should come, and those chips were merely a small trick of mine!"
Xue An’s eyes grew icy, "A small trick? Haha, is corrupting the earth with dark forces and forcing Buddhist temples to sacrifice a high monk daily to barely suppress it also a small trick?"
"Human Clan strongperson, though you possess a hint of Buddhist aura, you’re likely not a Buddhist cultivator! So what does this have to do with you?" Triangular Head slowly said.
"It matters, of course!" Xue An laughed coldly, gazing at Triangular Head with icy eyes, "Because a Nine-Headed Serpent once escaped my grasp, and if I’m not mistaken, you... likely come from the same place!"
"Lord Nine Heads?" Triangular Head’s eyes sparkled, then burst into a wicked laugh, "Nonsense! Just as you are, how could you be a match for Lord Nine Heads?"
Xue An’s gaze deepened, with a hint of red light appearing between his brows, immense pressure emanating around him.
