Chapter 1527 Myriad Devourer's Experience (I)
Chapter 1527 Myriad Devourer's Experience (I)
Wang Wei labeled the [Causality Feedback Sutra] as the highest importance in his mind before moving on with his cultivation. His flesh had reached the Nine Heaven, so he only needed to swallow a pill to instantly reach the peak. The advantage of a great background took place as Wang Wei swallowed the Profound Essence Pill, raising the cultivation of his flesh to the peak.
Wang Wei slowly stood up from the lotus position. He clenched his fist, feeling the power coursing through his veins. Wang Wei smiled as the imbalance from his lack of flesh cultivation was finally solved. He activated the formations to test the full extent of his strength without destroying everything around.
After a few hours of adaptation, Wang Wei activated his Dream Battle Technique, condensing an image of a Fiendgod.
He spent days fighting with his opponent, slowly adapting to the strength of his flesh. Once he had adapted, he watched as the dream construct dissipated, but he did not care since he was deep in thought.
'Fiendgods are not as weak as I imagined,' Wang Wei thought.
He was living in the mindset that humans, or Paragons, had won the three-way competition against Fiendgods and
Primarchs. While this was true, he realized the defeat of Fiendgods was not the same as Primarchs' defeat.
Primarchs have mostly become irrelevant. From the records he read from Wu Hong's library, he knew the situation of the Primarch Path was the same in most Chaos Worlds.
Meanwhile, while Fiendgods are no longer the most powerful race or path, they are still not weak or irrelevant. On the contrary, it could be argued that they are still the rulers of Primordial Chaos.
'Fiendgods are the epitome of the flesh, Paragons are the epitome of the Qi Path, so by that logic, shouldn't Primarch have walked the path of the soul?' Wang Wei thought. He felt the Primarchs may have walked the wrong path, focusing on their bloodline instead of their souls.
'Grand Dao allowed this competition to see which path will become mainstream. However, it appeared Grand Dao had long known the result of this competition before it even started.'
Wang Wei thought of that because of two people: the
Primeval Body Mansion Ancestor and the Ji Clan Ancestor.
The Mansion Ancestor took most of the luck of destiny from the Essence Path, meaning the Fiendgods had little chance at prospering in the competition — especially when there were so many limits to body refiners.. And the Ji Clan Ancestor did the same for the Spirit/Soul Path, but even worse, his actions seemed to have fundamentally hurt the Soul Path for the entire Chaos Universe.
It has long been fated that the future of the Chaos Universe belonged to the Qi or Paragon Path. However, Grand Dao still allowed everyone to compete to see if things would deviate from its natural course. Sadly, it did not. Well, maybe it did since the Primarchs did not even walk their destined path of the soul.
'If my theory is correct, the Grand Assembly should be more interesting than I thought,' Wang Wei smirked. He no longer focused on these thoughts and continued his training. He condensed a dream construct of his fiancée to fight. They fought for hundreds of years only using their flesh until Wang Wei was satisfied.
He did not become arrogant because he defeated that dream construct, since it was created based on her strength before the Perfect Foundation, not to mention the Thirteen
Transcendent Foundation. Wang Wei had now achieved his training objective for the retreat, but he did not leave.
Instead, he sat cross-legged and entered his Sea of
Consciousness.
He reached an area that was heavily sealed. "It's time," he finally muttered.
…
Wang Wei felt the pain of his flesh being disintegrated by the power of void, leaving him a white cloud state that he deduced might be his soul. "Damn, I'm in big trouble this time. I need to find a way out of this situation, or I will definitely die."
His intuition was screaming of danger everywhere, and it did not help that his small, cloud-like body was rapidly dissipating. He looked around him while suppressing the negative emotions. He noticed these blue spots that
required intense focus to observe. He pondered what they were and why they were here.
"No time to think now. This may be my only chance."
Wang Wei focused on moving forward and his soul followed his intent. He rushed to the closest blue spots, and it immediately fused with him. The feeling of weakness rapidly dissipated, followed by a sense of warmth and power. 'It worked,' Wang Wei thought before flying toward the next one. He felt the same sensation and joy, so he continued his actions.
However, as he headed toward the third blue spot, Wang Wei's intuition activated by overwhelming his mind with a sense of dread. He did not hesitate to turn around and choose another blue spot. He repeated the process a few times, and after swallowing ten spots, Wang Wei felt his soul no longer needed any aid to stop dissipating.
Such a revelation should have been enough for him, but he understood this may be an opportunity for him, so he continued chasing after the blue spots with the utmost focus. He did not know how many he swallowed, but there were many. By the time he finished, his soul had turned purple, and it was the size of a king-size bed.
"No more?" Wang Wei thought to himself as he looked
around. He had long discovered his senses were now
extraordinary. He could see thousands of miles away with a thought. "Well, I guess it's time to return home."
However, his soul suddenly froze. He realized there was nothing around him, meaning he was far from home. 'No, I can't be lost here. I must return home, return to civilization.'
Unfortunately for him, his panic was useless. He was now in Primordial Chaos, meaning he could not use forward and backward to navigate. All he saw was endless darkness with a tinge of purple.
'I need to calm down,' Wang Wei talked to himself. 'It's unlikely I can find home by traveling without direction. So, I need a way to navigate this void. I should just choose a path and hope to find a place with life. They may have a
navigation system, or better yet, extraordinary powers.'
Wang Wei had always believed in extraordinary powers due to his intuition and spent some time and money searching for news. However, the result has always been a failure, until what happened to him. Now that he knew the soul existed and could even be controlled, there must be other
extraordinary means that could help him return home.
His only focus now should be to find any form of life or civilization. Wang Wei then closed his eyes and sensed any threat around. After finding the less dangerous direction, he flew toward that area.
His plan was sound, logical, and the best course of action he could take in his situation. However, the execution soon proved how terrible his situation was. Previously, Wang Wei was so focused on surviving by swallowing these blue spots that he never felt the passage of time. But now that he was conscious, his nightmare began.
He could tell how long it had passed, but it felt like an eternity. Left alone with only his thoughts, the boredom and loneliness immediately crept in. Wang Wei started doing mental math to pass the time, but once the numbers
reached in the quintillion, he could no longer keep going.
He knew he needed a solution as soon as possible or the loneliness would drive him mad. So, he chose to sleep. Every time he felt his mental capacities deteriorate, he would shut off all his senses and sleep for countless years before waking up to continue his journey.
This method worked for a period, but not forever. Wang Wei realized his periodical sleep became longer each time. Soon, the fear that he might sleep for eternity overtook his mind, and he refused to use it again. So, he bore the brunt of the boredom and loneliness until he could no longer.
His state had deteriorated to the point that he could not even detect the danger warning of his intuition. So, Wang Wei was almost scared to death when a demon god appeared before him. The creature had a humanoid shape, but its face was carved from a green crystal. More importantly, the creature was a giant, and when it gazed at Wang Wei with its eyes, his soul felt an instinctive fear.
For a few seconds, Wang Wei forgot his madness as fear replaced all his other emotions and thoughts. 'Am I going to die here?' he thought. Every inch of his soul screamed this was the end for him. 'No, I can't accept such an end.' He did the soul equivalent of biting his tongue to use the pain to awaken him from the fear suppression. Then, Wang Wei turned around and ran away.
