Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1685: Revenge

Chapter 1685: Revenge

Lu Chuntao frowned. The latter’s calmness was raising alarm bells in her mind. The profile he has on Wang Wei never showed that he was boastful. On the contrary, he rarely did anything he was not sure of. But logically speaking, his strength couldn’t increase drastically even with the existence of the exchange list?

’Let’s take this seriously,’ she thought, immediately taking on the personality of "Wen Mingting." Blood sipped out of Lu Chuntao’s pores to cover her body in a black, purple, and red armor with snake scales, and the armor resembled a ferocious snake’s mouth.

"Bloodline Armor? And this aura," Wang Wei calmly commented. "It should be the Primordial Lifeform — the Word Destroying Serpent. It must have taken a lot of effort to find all these Primordial Creatures and use their bloodline." The Fiendgod Race had no choice but to siphon the luck and destiny of the Primordial Race, resulting in the top bloodline rarely being born.

"Let’s see what makes you so confident," Lu Chuntao sneered. Six projections materialized behind her. The empress then opened her mouth to fire a purple beam full of the power of destruction that tore through the void and everything in its path.

"Pointless struggle," Wang Wei shook his head before clenching his fist and punching. A first imprint of six colors blasted the purple beam before sending Lu Chuntao flying away, blood all over her armor.

"How is that possible?"

"Why are you shocked? Don’t you know who I am?" Wang Wei was not being arrogant. By now, the people of the world should understand he was an anomaly, and normal ways of judging people did not apply to him. Well, maybe he was a bit arrogant, but he had every right to be.

"I don’t believe it," Lu Chuntao roared, pushing her power to the limit. A phantom of a colossal black snake with red and black patterns on its back, starting from its forehead, materialized between Heaven and Earth. The creature had a desolate, primal, and ancient aura of all primordial creatures. The power of destruction oozed from its body, forcing the void to tremble, not because of its strength, but out of fear.

The World Destroying Snake glanced at Wang Wei with its black eyes before slamming down with its tail. Space and time in the tail’s path were annihilating, leaving a dark scar. However, to Lu Chuntao and the creature’s horror, Wang Wei calmly raised his tiny hands and easily blocked the attack.

"The way you use Destruction Dao is so rough. Is this the limit of using bloodline?" Wang Wei commented.

"Die." Lu Chuntao and the snake suddenly turned into two streams of dark light that rushed toward him. The power of destruction immediately magnified as these two worked together.

Boom!

With one punch, the world turned black and white, and death — the ultimate equalizer to everything between Heaven and Earth — reached its claws toward Lu Chuntao. As color returned to the world, a stone statue of the World Destroying Snake remained. It soon disintegrated, revealing a disheveled Lu Chuntao with half of her armor destroyed.

"How can you be so strong?"

"The question is, how can you be so weak?" Wang Wei retorted. "It seems you’ve already mastered a few Ultimate Skills, but why is your mastery of the Grand Constructs so abysmal?"

"I don’t need a lecture from you," Lu Chuntao said with gritted teeth.

"What’s wrong? You can remain charming and flirtatious when you were stronger, but now that you’re on the other side, why have you lost all your charm and charisma?"

"Don’t celebrate too early," Lu Chuntao said as her demeanor changed. A Taoist robe materialized in her body, along with a gourd on her side, a whisk on her left hand, and a straight sword on her right. Without knowing her true identity, anyone who saw this version of Lu Chuntao would think she was a gallant Taoist nun who slays demons to save and protect people.

"This should be the personality that allows you to combine all your bloodline," Wang Wei said with a slight smile. "Interesting. You actually used a human bloodline and cultivated Yin-Yang Dao. According to my prediction, you would have used a primordial creature with a chaos bloodline."

Lu Chuntao glared at him.

"Based on your reaction, I’m guessing you tried, but failed to find the right bloodline," Wang Wei commented. "However, in my opinion, you made the right choice. While you lose the purity of having nine primordial bloodlines, you now have the potential to break from their limitations."

If it were up to him, he would have utilized the nine primordial bloodlines and condensed a human being close to fusing into, thus breaking the limitations of these bloodlines. Although such a human clone would also require a unique human bloodline like the Wang or Dugu clan to have enough potential, it was still a better choice. But Wang Wei wouldn’t give such a good idea to his opponent, so he kept his mouth shut.

Lu Chuntao did not utter a word, but she gently waved her sword. Heaven and Earth trembled before being reverted to a primal, more chaotic time. A terrifying power descended upon Wang Wei, attempting to draw him into that process and transform his flesh and soul into a more disorganized state. However, he only stamped his feet in the sky to annihilate all the changes and return everything to its previous state.

"Why are you wasting both our time?" Wang Wei sighed. "You should have already seen the difference. You’ve spent so much time cultivating your bloodline that you neglected mastery of the Grand Constructs. Even if I weren’t an A-Class Primal, you would still not be my opponent." While the Nine Serpent Monarch Bloodline has much potential, the downside is the considerable time required to cultivate it. Each bloodline must be cultivated to the peak of the Paragon Realm before its owner has the chance to become a Primal. Adding the fact that Lu Chuntao needed to find and hunt down such rare bloodlines, and how much time she spent on that transcendent artifact, it’s understandable why she neglected another aspect of her cultivation.

"The battle is not over yet," Lu Chuntao said, her eyes fierce and unwavering. Wang Wei approved of her indomitable will, but unfortunately, his patience had run out. So, as "Daoist Yi" was about to activate the whisk, she saw only a blur, and Wang Wei was standing in front of her. A powerful grabbed her face, and her power was instantly sealed.

He threw her downward with immense force, causing sonic booms — not because of breaking the sound barrier, but because her body was breaking through countless spatial layers. The Heavenly Serpent Empress prepared herself for impact, but before she hit the ground, the world around her changed. A blood red moon hung in the sky, and her senses detected that her body was on the path of an ocean of blood.

Boom!

A more than 5-meter-long, ugly creature with two horns, six arms, and red skin suddenly appeared behind her and punched her upward. Wang Wei reciprocated, and for the next ten seconds, the two played ping-pong with her body. Lu Chuntao burned her blood energy to regain some power and generate a Yin-Yang Symbol on her back. So, as the Asura punched her, the force of his attack was redirected and instantly obliterated him.

Boom!

Before she could make another move, Wang Wei kicked her downward. She heard an immense scream full of anger, loathing, and resentment. But before she could find the source, something pierced her body. A wail of agony echoed between Heaven and Earth, even overwhelming the sounds of trillions of aggrieved souls in this Ghost World.

Pain! Pain! Endless Pain! That’s all Lu Chuntao could feel deep in her soul. Sadly, this was just the beginning. A myriad of ghosts rushed deep into her Sea of Consciousness and started munching on her souls as if they were ravenous beasts with an unquenchable hunger. If Lu Chuntao were of sound mind, she could have fought back. However, the pain was too much; as a result, she had to rely on her passive defensive capabilities.

A white flame suddenly enveloped the empress’s body, burning all the ghosts and healing many of her injuries. Lu Chuntao then stared at Wang Wei with a bit of hatred and horror.

"The Exalted Life Serpent Bloodline," Wang Wei said calmly. "Legends have it that it was born to give birth to sentient beings in the desolate primordial chaos. However, I know that was the Life Chaos Demon God’s job. It’s interesting how that creature inherited the myth of another. Do you think there is a connection? My bet is it was probably a subordinate, maybe even a mound."

Lu Chuntao spat a mouthful of blood while staring at him. Even now, the echo of the pain remains.

"What do you think of my technique? It’s well-made, isn’t it?" Wang Wei smiled. "You’ve experienced the Asura and Ghost Path. Do you want to experience the remaining 4?
