Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear

Chapter 799

Chapter 799

Bear-san, Doing Puzzles

“Yuna-oneechan, are you sure you don’t want to go?” (Fina)

Fina asked after finishing dismantling the wolf.

Despite having heard about the things that happened with pressed flowers yesterday, I was still currently at home instead of going to the royal capital.

I didn’t know if Fina was using the same flowers Shia used, but there were pressed flowers from when we made them together at Fina’s house.

So I told Fina about what Cliff told me.

“It’s okay.” (Yuna)

I kept saying this, after all, I just got back.

I just fought an Ice Dragon, after all.

God wouldn’t be angry if I took a little rest.

So it shouldn’t be a problem if I took a rest.

“Is it really okay?” (Fina)

“Well, it’s not urgent, so I don’t think it’s a big deal if I took a little rest. Besides, I need to rest.”

I picked up the Swaying Bear in its cub form next to me.

Fina came over and picked up Hugging Bear.

“But I didn’t know that there were precious flowers in that place.” (Fina)

There were many flowers blooming in Targui, so Fina, Shuri, and Shia picked them randomly.

I didn’t know which flowers were precious.

“I was told that some of those rare flowers were among the pressed flowers we made.” (Yuna)

I had no choice but to go to the royal capital and find out which flower it was.

I was also curious about it, so I was planning to go for sure.

But for now, I wanted to relax.

Fina also joined me playing with Hugging Bear.

Seeing Fina like that, I remembered something.

“Are you good at jigsaw puzzles, Fina?” (Yuna)

“Jigsaw puzzles?” (Fina)

“Yeah, jigsaw puzzles.” (Yuna)

“What’s a jigsaw puzzle?” (Fina)

“…” (Yuna)

Come to think of it, I had never seen a jigsaw puzzle in this world.

Maybe there didn’t exist any game in this world where you put together pieces to form a picture together.

Moreover, not to mention that I was talking about 3D puzzles this time.

“Well, in a way, a jigsaw puzzle is putting together pieces that have been torn apart.” (Yuna)

“Putting together pieces that have been torn apart… You mean repairing them?” (Fina)

I understood what Fina was trying to say.

But it was slightly different from what she was expecting.

“I haven’t tried repairing things much, so I might not be able to do it.” (Fina)

So she had some experience repairing stuff?

I think Fina would try her best to fix things if she found them damaged.

“But I can repair clothes. I used to sew when we had no money.” (Fina)

This girl worked as a dismantler to earn money for her mother’s medicine, and she also looked after her younger sister, despite how young she was.

Money was important, and she must have been frugal with it.

But now she didn’t need to worry about it.

“Well, we won’t be working on clothes, but repairing an egg.” (Yuna)

I said in a bright voice.

I got up from the sofa, spread a sheet on the floor, put a cushion on it, and put the broken Ice Dragon eggshell on top to prevent it from rolling around.

“…it’s the Ice Dragon eggshell you showed me the other day.” (Fina)

Fina said as she looked at the eggshell.

The eggshell was about 50cm to 60cm in size.

“I wanted to get Fina’s help to repair this.” (Yuna)

About 2/3 of the eggshell was still intact, but there was a hole around 1/3 the size of the egg.

The baby Ice Dragon came out of this hole.

I took out the pieces of the broken eggshell as well.

“Can I really help with this?” (Fina)

Fina picked up the eggshell pieces.

I’d never worked on a jigsaw puzzle myself, let alone a 3D puzzle.

There was no jigsaw puzzle in my home, and I was never interested in having one either.

So I thought I’d get Fina to help me.

“But how do we stick it together?” (Fina)

Fina tried to stick the eggshell pieces to the eggshell.

Would glue be okay to make them stick?

“Do they sell glue to stick things around here?” (Yuna)

“Hmm, they do sell glue to stick paper to things.” (Fina)

I wondered if it would stick using that?

As I was thinking about buying some to try, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear, who was still in their cub form, came in front of the eggshell pieces.

They looked around at the pieces and deftly grabbed the slightly larger pieces.

Maybe they could help with the pieces as well?

As I was watching to see what they were going to do, Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear brought the eggshell pieces they were holding closer together.

Were they using magic?

It looked like Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear were channeling magic power.

The two eggshell pieces became one big piece.

“Amazing. They stuck together.” (Fina)

Fina was amazed at the phenomenon Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear had caused.

I took the eggshell pieces that Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear were holding.

They were stuck together perfectly.

I couldn’t even see the seams.

Then I looked at the other eggshell pieces.

I wondered if the same method could be used on other pieces.

And so I put the two pieces together like a puzzle and lightly let magic flow through them.

The two pieces stuck together.

There was no mistaking it.

“Apparently, eggshell pieces stick together when you let magic power flow through them.” (Yuna)

“Magic power?” (Fina)

Fina also looked for the pieces and when she let magic power flow through them like I did, the two eggshell pieces stuck together.

“Done.” (Fina)

Fina was happy.

“Thank you for telling us, Swaying Bear, Hugging Bear.” (Yuna)

I stroked the Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear’s heads.

“But it’s strange. It’s like magic is making them stick together.” (Yuna)

“Maybe it’s because it’s an Ice Dragon’s egg?” (Fina)

I also didn’t think it would work with a different egg.

“So, it looks like we don’t need glue after all.” (Yuna)

Fina and I split up and started repairing the Ice Dragon’s egg.

“Was this right here?” (Yuna)

“This little thing is…” (Fina)

Fina started working on the egg puzzle, a 3D puzzle, with a serious look on her face.

I was also working with her on the egg puzzle.

But it was strange.

If we applied magic power to the pieces that were set in the right place, they would stick together.

But if you apply magic to the pieces that didn’t fit together, they wouldn’t stick.

It was a relief because they wouldn’t stick together by mistake. But it was mysterious.

Fina was working on the egg puzzle in silence with a serious look on her face.

“I wonder if this little piece will fit right here.” (Fina)

She looked happy when the pieces stuck together nicely.

“Is it fun?” (Yuna)

“Um, yes. It’s fun to see it gradually take shape.” (Fina)

That was certainly the fun of a jigsaw puzzle.

It was nice to fit the pieces together and gradually see the picture come together.

I’d never done it myself, so I couldn’t say for sure, however.

But now that I had actually tried it, it was fun, just like Fina said.

But it was frustrating when you couldn’t find the right place to fit the piece.

“Yuna-oneechan, maybe it’s this one.” (Fina)

When I placed the piece where Fina told me it would fit, it linked perfectly.

I then let my magic power flow and stick it together.

This was surprisingly difficult.

Unlike regular jigsaw puzzles, there were no colors or patterns.

Real jigsaw puzzles normally had pictures printed on them, so you would be able to guess what piece to put on what place based on color or patterns on the piece. But what we’re repairing was pieces of eggshells which didn’t have any different color or pattern on it.

If white paper was divided into small pieces like a puzzle, it would be difficult to stick them properly together.

And the bigger the puzzle, the harder it would be.

However, this time the egg was already 2/3 complete, so it was a little easier. If it had all been broken and smashed into pieces, it would have been extremely difficult.

Soon enough, it was completed, but it took us a whole day to finish it.

“Yuna-oneechan, what are you going to do with this egg?” (Fina)

It was pale and pretty, so it would be nice to display it.

But before that.

“I think I’ll go show it to Kagali-san.” (Yuna)

It was the egg we got together. I wanted to show it to Kagali-san.

So I used the Bear Transfer Gate to travel to the Land of Wa with Fina.

Swaying Bear and Hugging Bear, who were in their cub forms, came along as well.

“What is it this time? Did you bring trouble again with you?” (Kagali)

Was that the kind of thing you should say to someone as soon as you see them?

And you were drinking alcohol again.

Well, she couldn’t drink when we were in the frozen town, so maybe that was why she was drinking now.

“No, I just came to show you this.” (Yuna)

I took the finished Ice Dragon egg out of the bear box.

“Is this the Ice Dragon egg from back then? But it’s not cracked…” (Kagali)

Kagali-san approached the Dragon egg and touched it.

“Fina and I glued the pieces together and repaired it.” (Yuna)

“You must probably have a hard time with all this trouble, young lady. If you don’t like it, you should say so.” (Kagali)

She looked at Fina with a pitying expression.

But Fina smiled and replied.

“No, it was fun gluing the pieces together.” (Fina)

She was not lying, she was telling the truth.

Fina was having fun gluing the pieces together.

“I see, I hope you were really having fun.” (Kagali)

“Now that I think of it, did no one notice that Kagali-san had gone out?” (Yuna)

“That’s, well…” (Kagali)

Kagali-san reached for the paper on the low table.

“It’s a note from Suzuran.” (Kagali)

She handed the note to me.

I took it and looked at Suzuran-san’s note.

Written on the note was about Suzuran asking Kagali where she went, and asking Kagali to leave a note if she went out, and if Kagali-san would be back soon, huh? At the end, there were words of concern for Kagali-san.

“We seem to have made her worry.” (Yuna)

“She was just making too much of a fuss over a week’s absence. I’m not a child.” (Kagali)

Even though she looked like a little girl, she was a full-fledged adult.

“She might be thinking that Kagali-san has left the Land of Wa for good.” (Fina)

Suzuran would still come back, right?

I wondered when she would return.

According to the note, it seemed like Suzuran-san stayed in this house for about three days.

It was written in the note that she would report to the King and return.

“I guess the King will be informed as well.” (Yuna)

“What a hassle. I only went out for a little while.” (Kagali)

“That just shows how much she cares about Kagali-san.” (Yuna)

Suzuran-san, the King, and Sakura all cared about Kagali-san.

So it couldn’t be helped for them to worry when she suddenly disappeared.

“Next time I go out with you, I’ll be sure to leave a note.” (Kagali)

That way of saying it sounded like she wanted to go with me, and we would end up getting into some kind of trouble for sure.

When I thought about the slime incident and the frozen town, it was hard to say that something outrageous wouldn’t happen again.

But Kagali-san still said that she would accompany me, even if she knew that she would get into trouble.

That made me feel a little happy.

Then, while looking at the Ice Dragon’s egg, Fina asked Kagali-san various questions.
