Chapter 1339: The Bait get Caught: Part-1
Chapter 1339: The Bait get Caught: Part-1
Third Person’s POV
“Oh my grace!! It’s blood everywhere!!”
“It’s all over the ground, look! What happened to them?”
“Someone help me!! Please, I can’t move his arm!”
“A-Arrhhh!!! My leg—gods, it’s crushed—!”
The commotion in the dome echoed everywhere, causing the transport to come to a halt. So many sections and blocks had been stacked up suddenly, and the line was paused because of it.
The three Orcs, who were holding boxes in their hands as they stood in the line at the entrance to the dome, looked on with confused expressions, since the line was not moving and only the sound of screaming was coming from inside.
“What’s going on inside?”
“I don’t know… maybe someone tried to cheat?”
“Cheat in front of the Empress’s guards? You have to be insane.”
“Think so.”
The trio shrugged their shoulders. Just then, someone placed a hand on one of the orc’s shoulders, and she flinched and turned back, only to see…
“Queen Succubus!”
Instantly, everyone kneeled down when they saw a blue-haired, gorgeous beauty walking in with an indifferent expression.
The guards that stood at the entrance immediately pushed the crowd out of her way. She gracefully walked inside as the guards filled her in on the details of what was going on inside the dome.
“Clear the path! The Queen approaches!”
“She’s here already?”
Morgana, with an indifferent expression, walked inside and saw… the whole containers and crates had fallen, landing on the workers and guards as blood poured out from their bodies.
“P-Please help us,” one guard begged with trembling hands, his body covered in blood.
He tried to rise, but his legs gave out, and he slumped against the broken crate. “Your Majesty, I beg you—just a moment of mercy—”
“What a mess,” one of the guards muttered quietly, glancing at Morgana for any sign of emotion.
“Is that… is that Karzug under the crate? Gods, I hope he’s still alive—someone pull him free!”
“Help! Please, help me—my arm’s trapped!”
Crying and screaming sounds echoed with pain.
Yet she had an indifferent expression.
She glanced at him before shaking her head in disappointment. “To think that someone had reached this level.”
Her cold voice made everyone flinch and confused as she waved her hands. Blue shimmering particles flowed from her hand, and suddenly, the containers and boxes that had fallen suddenly disappeared without a trace… the blood on the bodies disappeared too.
“What—? Where did it all go?”
“My wounds—they’re… gone?”
“How—did she do that? She didn’t even touch us.”
Everyone had a confused and shocked expression, wondering what was going on here.
Just a few seconds ago, the boxes and containers had fallen, and now… everything had disappeared, even the blood.
Morgana said in an indifferent tone, “Whoever did this… come to me right now!”
She let the words linger, her gaze sweeping the crowd. “I will not repeat myself. Step forward, if you dare…. Or I will pull the truth from your bones.”
Everyone gulped as they looked at each other.
Morgana was really angry!
The orcs exchanged nervous glances, shrinking back as Morgana’s stare swept the crowd. All around, the sheer number of kneeling workers and trembling guards made the dome feel smaller, every breath tense, every heartbeat loud enough to drown out the silence.
“This illusion of yours… believe me, it’s not an easy feat to achieve this level. For this capability, I applaud you.” She clapped her hands, still wearing the same indifferent face, adding,
“So, I will give you a chance to live… if you come to me this second.” Her face turned slightly furious.
Yet nobody was stepping up.
She turned to the inner dome guards who were standing before her. She frowned, “What are you doing here? Your job is supposed to be not to allow anyone to pass through it.”
The guards gulped in fear. “W-We thought Empress would be angry if the containers were broken, s-so…”
“Silence.” Morgana blankly stared at the guards with an indifferent expression. Her eyes roamed around the dome. Someone had come inside and used an illusion on par with her own and tricked everyone…
Who could it be?
“Dora? Is that possible?” she wondered quietly. “She’s an expert in illusions, but with the checkpoint—and the Origin Card for verification—the guards would have reported to the Empress immediately. And what’s more, the Empress could sense if Dora or any strong figure appeared in her Empire.”
So, the possibility of her getting inside… was barely ten percent.
Wait… if these inner dome guards were here, then— Morgana’s face turned grim.
“NO ONE SHALL LEAVE THIS PLACE!” she shouted furiously, her voice echoing like thunder as she ordered the gates closed.
“Check the Origin Cards! Find out if anyone unwanted entered, and New!!” Her wings flung open from her back as she soared into the dome.
Morgana flew deeper into the path.
“Tsk, I don’t get it. Who could it be…? Mary would have known if it was Dora, or even Aether… or any other rulers or chosen ones. Who could have entered our territory without passing Mary’s Sense?” she gritted her teeth.
When she reached the location, she saw… two men, fucking each other furiously.
“YOU FUCKING USELESS!” She shouted before waving her hand. Instantly, both of them froze, their bodies stiff as stone, before blood flowed from every orifice and they burst apart, flesh exploding into crimson mist.
She, without a care, walked in as the air swirled before her face, white bright light forcing her to halt for a second to adjust her eyes before she looked at the… big, whirling white portal.
Her eyes narrowed as she stepped closer, hips swaying and her gaze fixed on the portal.
“Did someone get past through this?” she muttered in a cold tone.
She softly touched the white portal that swirled like a whirlpool. The moment her fingers touched it, they were trimmed, the flesh and bones where visible, blood flowing out—literally scrubbed evenly, as if she’d pressed her fingers against a blade-sharpening machine.
“Hmmm.” She hummed coldly, glancing at her trimmed fingers. She didn’t care—just gave one look before glancing at either side of the portal, where huge metallic exo-skeletons crouched down, motionless.
She hummed as she licked her trimmed fingers, the blood flowing softly and staining her lips crimson.
“Congrats. You managed to come this far… tricking everyone with your little parlour tricks. I’ll be honest with you, I was literally surprised by your illusion—it’s almost on par with mine… So come out, and we’ll talk this through,” she said, her face twisting into a wicked grin that didn’t reach her eyes.
“I don’t care who you work for, or what you want,” she continued, her voice dropping, dangerous and low.
“Just so you know… Empress Mary is coming, and if she does—if you make me wait another second—I promise you, it won’t end well. Not unless she decides to have her fun with you first.” Morgana’s face turned sly and cruel, her gaze boring into the shadows.
“You can’t hide forever.”
“Come on~ Come to me~” she sang.
Her eyes sharpened, searching every angle and reflection, reading the air for movement. She knew the only path to escape was the same way they came, and since she hadn’t seen anyone on her way here… she knew the intruder was still hiding.
“Come on, baby~” she purred, letting her voice drift like a spell as a pink mist suddenly leaked from her body, spreading across the ground, creeping into every crevice, filling the space with her dangerous allure.
Thuck!
Her eyes snapped instantly toward the sound, every muscle taut. She saw… a grey-skinned girl huddled behind one of the towering, exo-metallic skeletons.
“There you are~” Morgana hissed, her voice all venom and delight. She moved in a blur. The girl tried to run, but Morgana darted forward, wings snapping open, catching the girl by the neck with a single, brutal motion—like a hawk plucking a mouse from the field.
Morgana stared down at the girl, frowning in surprise.
“Oi… aren’t you Nyx’s servant?” Her fingers curled tighter, digging into the girl’s throat, cutting off any hope of escape.
“P-Please… L-Let me go,” the girl whimpered, tears in her eyes, voice trembling as Morgana’s grip became iron.
“Let you go? The fuck?” Morgana sneered, her voice cold and mocking.
“You sneaky bitch… You came here, risked everything, and now you want to leave? You think you can outsmart me?” Her nails pressed deeper, squeezing.
“Tell me… did that bitch Nyx send you to sneak in? Are you betraying your own Empire?” She leaned closer, her breath cold against the girl’s skin.
“N-No… I-I didn’t mean to—”
Snap!
Morgana snapped the girl’s neck without hesitation, her eyes never wavering as she watched the girl’s life slip away.
“Tsk. I cannot believe Nyx would do this… This is why I told my sister not to let the girl leave this place… fuck!” she snarled, teeth clenched, and flung the limp body aside. But then, as it fell, the girl in her grip… flickered and vanished, dissolving like a shadow.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, fangs elongating in furious rage.
“KKKYYYYYYYY!!” she screamed, her shriek reverberating like a banshee’s curse through the entire dome, rattling metal and bone.
Meanwhile,
“Run, run, RUN, MOTHERFUCKER!!” Nightfire screamed, her heart slamming against her ribs as her face twisted with pure terror while running for her life.
“KKKYYYYYYYY!!”
Goosebumps rippled across Nightfire’s skin as Morgana’s furious scream chased after her.
Nightfire spat at herself, her voice ragged with fear,
“THIS IS WHAT YOU GET IF YOU FALL FOR HIS TRICK, BITCH!!”
